We appreciated the lower pet fee and location as well as the pool. Walking distance to most things in Moab "of interest." We have stayed here at least twice before and since it is on the main road it is convenient, but can be a bit noisy. The pool is, while nothing special, is a clean area and great for refreshing after a hot day! Office staff is helpful. We have not tried the restaurant (Moab grill) yet though. Photos included of the nearby trailhead with a few swimming/wading areas.

Amazing! Pool area was perfect for the hot hot weather. Bigger than the pictures. Pet friendly room was first floor and super convenient. Parking was easy and everything felt safe. Highly recommend

The lodge had an amazing decor but the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. We found several dead flies on the ground by the curtain and an insect was crawling on the bed when we first got into the room. The breakfast was mediocre.

Nice clean and comfy room for an extremely affordable rate ($55/night including tax). Really nice and friendly front desk staff as well. Room has good amenities as well...microwave and good sized refrigerator, and shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in shower. Lots of comfy pillows on each bed also.

Don't book Big Horn Lodge expecting a modern, sleek room. What I liked most about it was the vintage feel. I loved the old furniture (the desk chair had a leather back with obvious wear that was so comfortable). The beds were fine, as was the ability to control air temperature. It could have been a smidge cleaner (the chunky furniture is hard to get up close to with a vacuum, I'm sure), but we were very happy with our stay.

The hotel room had a very strong odor caused by some cleaning solution or spray. It bothered both of us terribly-- enough to leave the room and not come back till bedtime. The bathroom fllors were dirty, particularly in corners. Would not recommend and would never stay there again.

The rooms are nicely arranged with an added table and chairs (comfortable). The beds are comfortable, toilet/shower area is a bit small but functional. I like the wood paneling and decor. Pleasant place to stay even though you’re just off highway 191. You’re within walking distance to restaurants and the grocery store if you so choose. Nice place and staff.

Staff was very friendly, even asked if we wanted a room on the first or second level at check in. Room was impeccably clean. The Lodge is on the main street which can be noisy at night though with passing traffic.

Location was very good. A/C in room was terrible. It is located right next to the mirror & sink. While getting ready in the morning (hair, makeup, brushing teeth) the air blasts the side of your head, messing up your hair & blowing hair into face while applying makeup. If you turn the A/C off, however, you get hot & sweaty while drying your hair at the mirror. There is a portable fan that you have to set up next to the A/C in order to cool the side of the room where the beds are.

The room had a weird smell and the lowest wattage LED bulbs possible. It was fairly dark in the room and made worse because of the dark finish on the walls.

The room was very roomy and comfortable. It felt like a log cabin because of the wood walls, ceiling and furniture. It was also quiet despite having large windows and facing the busy parking lot and highway (Main Street). Breakfast at the Moab Grill was quite good. We didn't try the pool.

The location of the property great and easy to find. The hotel is old but perfectly fine. But two things to note: It's located on the major highway through town with much noise from trucks/motorcycles. Bring earplugs. Second, there is an old-fashioned design feature of a frosted window without a curtain over the front door. Early morning sunlight floods the room requiring one to have an eye mask should you wish to sleep past 5:30 AM.

Great old style motel. Don’t get me wrong, the room was great and quiet inside. I was surprised since this place is on a busy road. I’d happily stay here again and I am really picky when it comes to hotels and motels.

Rooms definitely need updated. The air conditioner was right by the sink making it freezing to brush teeth. Needed to be by the beds so it actually cooled the space. Whomever tried to re-grout the tile in the bathrooms needs to find a different job. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Would stay again but needs some work

Nice motel with an old Moab feel. Comfortable beds. Rooms are smaller todays standards, but you'll likely be spending the majority of time outdoors adventuring. Cool,benefit...clean 'rags' to cleanup gear.

Room was decorated in log furniture, with log or wooden walls, making the room very dark. Front wall was windows from floor to ceiling, however for privacy reasons the curtains remain closed. Building is dated, a lot of road and other noise. Heating and cooling was through a wall unit which failed in the middle of the first night, causing sleep disturbance. However, the response time for resolution was immediate and we had a new A/C unit within a couple hours of bringing it to their attention. Bathroom sink is older and seems to have lost its finish, making it never appear shiny. Smell was adequate. Front desk staff friendly and responded to phone right away. Note was at front desk when we were leaving that there would be considerable noise in the coming days (weeks?) for brush cutting, and they had a bowl of ear plugs for guests. I would not stay again due to the room darkness and noise.

Motel staff was friendly and accommodating. Check in was easy. Our room was quiet in though the motel was the lodging headquarters for a Jeep adventure convention. Our second-floor room was reached by stairs. The desire for an elevator was only because of our activities each day of our stay. We were worn out by the time we returned to our room. We were too tired to enjoy the heated pool but it was clean and the area tidy.

I enjoyed my stay at the Big Horn Lodge. We came into town late and still had no issues checking in. Staff was nice and the rooms were clean and tidy. Only complaint I can come up with is the key card lock in my door was tricky to use.

Great location, on the south side of the town. Walk to several restaurants and a grocery store. Parking right in front. Staff friendly. The room was perfect for our stay. Would stay there again. Went to Arches and Canyonlands twice. Short easy drive.

When I booked the stay via Expedia, the hotel showed up as providing breakfast list after I set the filter. But when I arrived I was informed they never provided breakfast. Also it was not helpful when i contacted Expedia customer service who was asking me to submit a screenshot but it’s their website. Also the hotel has very limited parking space

We loved our stay here. Right off Main Street in Downtown, within walking distance to shops, trails, food, gas. Clean rooms, super nice and helpful staff. The rooms have a great cabin like feel. Wonderful stay for sure and the Diner attached was fantastic as well.

Nice room. Hotel, bedroom, bathroom all clean. Despite being 99 F outside, the room was lovely and cool when we entered. Great to have several chairs and a table. Motel style so we could park outside the room. Breakfast was not available but the diner thro reception was wonderful. Lots of towels. Anti-slip mat available for inside the bath. Useful to have “rags” in the room to clean dusty shoes/bikes etc. (thank you) Outdoor pool sadly closed

Allergies to animals require that we find a clean, pet-free room. Our host did not hesitate to offer a pre-occupancy review, but her speech and manners were assuring, so that was not necessary. The room 242 was clean and well-furnished as advertised. It appeared to have been recently refurbished, and only the tell-tale spring silhouettes showing near the surface of the leather chair testified to its age. Nonetheless, the heater worked quickly to bring the room to 70, and we both slept comfortably under to bed linnens and blankets. The Moab Grille abuts Big Horn Lodge office on its north side. Our host at the Grille, Gabriel, was welcoming and let us sit at a nearby table while awaiting some to-go soup. We arrive about 7pm and left about 7am -- just a layover between 10-hour drives. The hot shower, comfortable beds, and clean spaces at the Big Horn Lodge made the layover a joy.
