Nice hotel but it was very expensive and we were not able to use the spa as you have to book it (reception couldn’t do it, we had to call from the room) and it was apparently fully booked so they told us to call 2 hours later and still, fully booked. Really a shame that they advertise the spa but don’t guarantee an access to it. The packed breakfast that we ordered was ready on time and lovely though. Rooms in good condition but the toilets in the common area were simply disgusting.

Very nice hotel. Unique, art deco design. Lots of good points: great location; can’t really get more central! Nice rooms, good breakfast buffet, interesting functional fitness gym, swimming pool and sauna, both infra red and traditional heat. Staff are very professional and helpful. I would happily return. The only negative points are that a lot of the design of the hotel is not particularly functional: the sauna for example is not particularly hot due to a gap in the door and the odd shape of it. The swimming pool, whilst nice, is very small, so no actual swimming, just dipping. The gluteham benches in the gym are not adjustable making them almost useless for most. The underground parking is a minotaurian maze; having a big car would be a real problem. You have to validate your parking every time you want to leave the hotel, and getting the car out, especially if you are 3 levels down, can take about 10-15 minutes, particularly if it’s a busy time. But all these are minor gripes, overall it’s a very good hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

Everything about this location is great. Parking lot filled up one of the nights and we had to park a few blocks down the street. This was very inconvenient with a baby and small children. If this hotel was able to address this issue, they would be the best in Ljubljana.

The hotel is nice and clean, staff are friendly but 2 issues; the air conditioning was terrible and did not work well and when we arrived we were told the parking garage was full and we would have to go to another garage and pay 30 euros to park there overnight ! When we booked , we specifically looked for a hotel with parking on site as many hotels in Ljubljana centre do not.

Great comfy hotel in the heart of the capital. Gym was a bit odd, with unusual things in it but not the things you need for a proper workout. Dumbbells but no bench, also they had the windows open and was too hot, should have aircon on.

Hotel splendido, pulito, facilmente accessibile, vicino al centro storico ed a pochi minuti dalla stazione ferroviaria. Ottima la colazione con ampia scelta tra dolce e salato. Camere spaziose e ben arredate. Sauna e piscina disponibili con affluenza contenuta. Ottima scelta.

Room was lovely. Room 343. Great location for city. 2 mins walk to the centre Only thing I felt could be better. Breakfast just wasn’t that great. And there’s no bar. There is a bar area but it’s where you have breakfast. Such a beautiful hotel with lots of space I feel needs a nice bar to relax in before going out for dinner

We loved it here. The hotel looks fantastic inside and out. The room was clean and everything worked perfectly. House keeping staff were pleasant and professional. Breakfast buffet is amazing. So much choice and a lovely setting. All staff are super helpful. The hotel is situated in a great spot next to the main square. Perfect for the bus station and railway station and all the sights you want to see. So many choices of where to eat nearby and the hotel itself is not at all noisy despite being in such a prime spot. Wonderful hotel!! So glad we chose it.

Struttura d'epoca molto bella, ben tenuta e con arredamento di pregio. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Colazione ottima, c'è tutto quello che si desidera. Stanza grande, calda, accogliente con tutti i comfort. Posizione dell'hotel eccellente. L'unica cosa di cui lamentarsi è questa:siamo entrati in stanza il primo giorno e abbiamo notato una macchia appiccicosa di caffè sul tavolo vicino alla finestra. Non l'abbiamo toccata. Il secondo giorno, nonostante le pulizie, la macchia era ancora lì. Questo vuol dire che le pulizie non sono state fatte bene né tra un ospite e l'altro né durante il nostro soggiorno. E in questo periodo di covid per un hotel di questo genere è un errore piuttosto grave.

We had only one night at the hotel, but it was special in every way. The staff were very professional and helpful, and the hotel itself is simply beautiful. Our room was spacious, spotless, and we were even lucky enough to get a room with a small balcony. The hotel has a wonderful location, right in the heart of old town, so everything is easily walkable. There is underground parking at the hotel next door, and a very good breakfast buffet was included as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Struttura storica rimodernata Ottima la reception e molto buona la colazione. La camera 163 è molto ampia, hai un salotto con TV che però non è usufruibile stando a letto. Letto ampio e comodo Il bagno non aveva un buon odore, ne all’arrivo e nemmeno dopo le pulizie del mattino successivo. Dalle finestre entrano spifferi e di conseguenza anche il rumore della strada I corridoi comuni hanno i muri segnati e la moquette macchiata Nell’insieme un bel hotel, ma andrebbe rinfrescato

The hotel is lovely. We had a refurbished room with a king size bed and beautiful furnishings, a large bathroom with walk in shower and magnifying makeup mirror. The only negative about the room was the air conditioner couldn’t be set below 20. The room was stuffy and difficult as my husband has breathing issues. The breakfast was delicious with many options. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant and it was good. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Parking is pretty much non existent. We were there 4 days and the parking garage was full 100 percent of the time. We were always trying to find a place to park.

Beautiful hotel steps from the center of Ljubljana on a quiet street. Our newly renovated room was very comfortable with a terrific shower. The staff was helpful. Breakfast was fabulous. Highly recommend.

It was right downtown, and a short walk to the castle, the dragon bridge, and restaurants. As others have mentioned there are loud church bells going off frequently, which may not be your thing but are nice if you're in the right mindset.

Das Grand Hotel ist von außen sehr schön und z.B. der Frühstücksbereich ist anspruchsvoll gestaltet. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist hingegen sehr veraltet, an den Türen ist die Farbe großflächig abgeblättert, Uralte Utensilien wie der Fön, Matratze nicht mehr fest und sehr unbequem, Lüftung im Bad funktioniert nicht. Für den Preis und die Bewegung müssten die Zimmer renoviert werden. Die Lage war top zentral.
Das Grand Hotel ist von außen sehr schön und z.B. der Frühstücksbereich ist anspruchsvoll gestaltet. Everything was excellent except for the non working AC. While the outside temperature was 79 and the room overheated, the registration desk was talking about heating still taking place. I opened the window wide open, so after midnight and closer to the early morning, the room was much cooler and easily to breath. Everything else-perfect. Would stay at the hotel again, hope soon.

Absolutely lovely hotel with art nouveau sensibility throughout. Our room was beautifully appointed, with comfy bed and luxurious bedding, sumptuous marble bath, and stylish furnishings. Location is perfect, with so much to see and do nearby, not to mention extensive restaurant options. Helpful staff, elegant but not stuffy atmosphere. A true Ljubljana gem!

We had only one night at the hotel, but it was special in every way. The staff were very professional and helpful, and the hotel itself is simply beautiful. Our room was spacious, spotless, and we were even lucky enough to get a room with a small balcony. The hotel has a wonderful location, right in the heart of old town, so everything is easily walkable. There is underground parking at the hotel next door, and a very good breakfast buffet was included as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful facility, comfortable and efficiently arranged room, excellent breakfast. Weekday staff were very kind and proactively helpful. Weekend staff were a little more passive by comparison but still responded efficiently and graciously to specific requests. The room was ok. Our request for twin beds was respected. The swimming pool was ok, however, it is only open from 9:00 in the morning. Since breakfast closes at 10:00 you cannot swim before breakfast. We had a voucher of 15 EUR for food and drinks. Upon check out the receptionist told us that the voucher would cover our bill at the coffee shop (10,50 EUR). However, the expenses of the coffee shop were charged to our bill. This is not correct! It is a pity that even in such a reknown hotel you have to be aware of a wrong bill.

Eurostar Hotel Union Eurostars is an update of the classic hotel which dates back to the early 20th century. Location is just inside the pedestrian only zone and steps from Pink Church and Three Bridges. Room was large with large, updated bathroom. Tara at the front desk was extremely helpful. Make sure you reserve Grand Hotel Union as opposed to Eurostars uHotel. The latter is the unremarkable adjacent tower hotel which contains the Grand Union parking garage.

We loved it here. The hotel looks fantastic inside and out. The room was clean and everything worked perfectly. House keeping staff were pleasant and professional. Breakfast buffet is amazing. So much choice and a lovely setting. All staff are super helpful. The hotel is situated in a great spot next to the main square. Perfect for the bus station and railway station and all the sights you want to see. So many choices of where to eat nearby and the hotel itself is not at all noisy despite being in such a prime spot. Wonderful hotel!! So glad we chose it.

We had a few hiccups with the first 2 rooms we were assigned (partly because of a big storm that hit the day prior), but management quickly fixed that and upgraded us to a better room. We got in late and had called the reception about food options (which there weren't many), but they recommended a food delivery service and we were set a platter of fruits the next morning by the hotel.
