We arrived at the property earlier than expected … Arthur who was at the front was very welcoming .. informed us there was Ripples cafe just off of the bar and we could make ourselves comfortable until our room were ready. The cafe was clean, comfy and had great food and service.. when we checked in Erin was at the guest service desk and she was lovely too hotel room rooms are spacious, cozy and a great view of the river … very clean .. Arthur, Erin and Sean were absolutely amazing … my brother and I had a wonderful time … and will definitely be back

We were able to get a riverside room and it was beautiful. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We lucked out and were able to get a spot in the limited parking lot.

Quite visible layers of dust on the wall by the bed . Three flying ants or some other kind of insect in our room. Beds were decent and cafe was good for breakfast . It was a very average hotel in a good location but with a heftier than average price tag. Best shower pressure we’ve had so far in almost 10 days in Ireland !

Overall it was fine. The location is great, but the cleanliness needs improvement. We found cobwebs in our room. One lamp flickered and the main light didn’t work. The shower pressure was great but it did seem to take time to drain. The staff were great.

I pulled up outside and wasn't so sure what to expect, however as I got inside it's lovely. The staff are so welcoming and helpful the room is absolutely spotless. It's cosy, has TV kettle and a tray to make tea and coffee. After a lovely quiet peaceful sleep I woke up puled the curtains to a beautiful view of the river. I would most definitely stay there again.thank you all for making my stay a really pleasure one

Modern, clean hotel in good location within quick walking distance of Galway city center. Car lot is extremely small, requiring us to park offsite. We were there on a warm day and being Ireland, there is no AC, but the room had a fan, which worked well.

The shower set up is strange as the water spills out everywhere. You can tell this is an ongoing issue from the deterioration of the wall and trim outside the bathroom. For one night, it’s fine and luckily we had a fan so we were able to drown out some of the noise since it was warm and we had to have the window open.

Lovely location overlooking the river and close to shops. If you are an early sleeper do not get rooms 101-108 as you are directly above the bar. Other than that, great place to stay.

Loved our stay! Staff, room and entire town exceeded expectations. Pubs were great, town folk so very friendly, and our room was perfect with a charming little balcony overlooking the river. We will be back!

This hotel can be one of the best places you visit in Sligo. Right by the water so you get great views, and an easy walk to from the bus stop or taking a look around town. The staff are super helpful and kind, especially Arthur at the reception desk who answered all my questions with great wit and charm. Breakfast was mostly very good, and the hotel is very accessible and clean.

Staff treat Expedia booking differently. Room was basic and dirty. Towel drying rack didn’t work. Sat in their bar/ restaurant for 10 minutes and never got approached by staff for order. Got up and left. Would not recommend to anyone .

Very nice hotel right beside the river with well proportioned bedrooms and bathrooms. Ate at the restaurant which was very good. Also, tried several restaurants in town which were recommended by the front desk staff. All were excellent...Miss Suzy's, Hooked, etc. Easily able to walk to the town center as well as North on the river to enjoy a park nature walk along the river. Where this place truly shines is with their staff. They are very friendly and add the comfort and homeliness to the stay.

It was a lovely stay in a very interesting location. Erin at the front desk was MOST helpful in guiding us to an excellent restaurant for dinner and directing us to items of interest to us. Would go back to Sligo and THIS hotel in a heartbeat!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Riverside Hotel. The front desk staff went above and beyond to guide us to local attractions and make sure we felt welcome during our stay. The only recommendation I have is to equip the rooms with a safe to store valuables.

I don’t think I could have found a better hotel for one night in Sligo. Riverside is outstanding — great location close to town, comfortable room/bed (mine had a great view overlooking the river/bridge), nice restaurant/pub on site, free parking, and very friendly staff.

Loved the very walkable location. Easy walk to restaurants, shops, and local sites. Like many places in Ireland, parking is not on property as there are only about 6 spaces on site. The rest park in a public lot about 100 yards down the street. We really enjoyed our river view. Room was clean and comfortable. Was unimpresssed by their restaurant, but there are plenty of nearby options.

Stayed 3 nights at the Riverside Hotel in Sligo. June 2025. We really enjoyed our stay. We asked for a room with a view. Got it. We took several day trips, and returned every night to the bar at the Riverside. Great service from some very friendly kids. Great food! Kudos to the chef! Breakfast buffet also was very good. Parking is the only drawback. We parked at the church for only 2 euro overnight, a more than fair price. A mild inconvenience. we recommend this hotel! William & Susan

El hotel está bien ubicado, nada más. El desayuno fue desastroso, las viandas vacías y solo dos personas para atender a muchas. La habitación que nos dieron era minúscula. El precio fue muy caro para lo que recibimos, el hotel es viaje y mal cuidado. Lo peor: te cobran la totalidad de la estancia 3 días antes!!!!!! Entiendo que si uno no se presenta cobren una noche pero la totalidad con tanta anticipación se me hace muy violento. Ah! Tiene solo 7 lugares de estacionamiento. Si alguien va a Sligo no se queden en el Riverside Hotel.

Right on the river with great views! And easy walk into town and to a great river walk. Great bar and dining and breakfast service. We even had life music one night! Really enjoyed our stay. My husband had one complaint. The shower area needed a little shelf to put some personal shampoo etc. We ended up having to put things on the floor in the shower. Not easy when you are over 80.

Loved our stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee shop and bar/dining on site. Food was great. Room was very big, bathroom very modern with great water pressure in the shower. Would definitely stay again.
