Delphi Art Hotel by Prima Hotels

The property is supposedly in transition with new owners. The pictures on their site do not match the current condition. We had no A/C, no remotes, and the rooms were not very clean. We were told they were ‘honoring’ all reservations made prior to the takeover. The service people did the best they could but it was a pretty atrocious hotel. The maintenance workers were not interested in helping at all.

The hotel is located in a very poor area. Homeless people and open drug scenes are common in the immediate vicinity. There is no parking available—not even a partnership with a parking garage. You have to find a parking spot yourself and then walk through the bad neighborhood in the middle of the night with your family. The elevator was old and had not been inspected in four years. We had booked a “suite” which turned out to look more like a storage basement. The beds were hard, and the children’s beds were low-quality rollaway beds. It would have been more comfortable on the floor, but it was so dirty we didn’t dare. The walls were so dirty that dust formed a visible layer. A light fixture had broken off the wall and was hanging by the wires from the hole it left behind (see photo). The walls were also dirty with paint, old dust, and black marks where furniture used to be. The bathtub was dirty, didn’t fit the bathroom, and was broken. The carpet in the hallways was worn out —it must have been there for 100 years. The wallpaper in the corridors was peeling off the walls, with holes appearing throughout. Simply creepy. The “non-smoking room” had cigarette butts on the balcony. The curtains were not properly hung. It was so terrible that we cut our stay short - despite that they did not want to give us our money back, that we already paid. We just moved in a different Hotel.

The property is very old and in a bad end of the city. There are homless people all around including outdide the hotel door. No one approached us but we felt concerned. The location is not bad for accessing the city. The staff were super friendly. We were told it is being renovated which it definitely needs.

Hotel was in decent condition. Staff was for the most part friendly. Breakfast is the best thing in the hotel. They claim never to have ice, but they have a bar- makes no sense. The area outside the hotel was full of people doing drugs and many homeless. I didn’t feel safe at night. The block behind the hotel was the same situation.

It was the only terrible hotel experience I had making the reservation through Hoteles.com. The room and other parts of the hotel were unclean, rude staff, poor service, AND NOT HOT WATER AT THE BATHROOM. Five nights without hot water: NO RESPONSE from the hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights as a family(2 adults and 2kids). The hotel and its front desk staff were excellent. It's definitely an art hotel in its decor. The hotel is very near Omonia station and close to restaurants and shops open late at night. You can use the hop-off and hop-on bus service to get to the hotel. The hotel did not have parking in the premises but there is 24x7 parking nearby. The staff is very friendly. I enjoyed my stay. They have breakfast which is good.

I realize it is a historic older building, but the bed mattresses were very thin and lumpy, the common area rugs were very worn, our patio door had a defective lock because the wood on the door frame was broken and the glass on the door had several large cracks. It appeared that the door had been broken into. There was debris in the area outside our room and in the common area outside the entrance. But the biggest inconvenience was no hot water for two days. The staff was very helpful and friendly though.

The online info said free parking, that was not the case. Had to use parking garage 2 blocks away. Drinks in frig when arrived, NOT on the house and not obvious that it would cost extra, 3 euro each. Area quite near hotel seemed unsafe with obvious drug users nearby. Air conditioning worked great, room size nice, breakfast was incredible.

Some homeless people taking drugs in the area but hotel is safe and secured with security. Reception Morning shift lady is not the best but the afternoon are wonderful and helpful. Breakfast is awesome and tasty

Quando chegamos ao quarto verificamos que um lençol estava sujo tivemos que pedir outro o wc estava mal limpo ate tinha uma maquina barbear daquelas plastico no chao junto lavatorio a tv funcionava pessimo o comando da mesma nao trabalhava adquadamente e os canais eram limitados

The pictures did not match the condition of our room. Things were broken, stuff left in the drawers and a bumpy bed. Not good. Terrible surrounding area where I did not feel comfortable even during daylight hours.

Das Hotel ist eine absolute Katastrophe. Die Zimmer sind schmutzig vieles ist kaputt und es entspricht nicht den Fotos. In den Zimmern richt es muffig. Wir mussten sogar das Zimmer wechseln, da im alten Zimmer die Fenster nicht dicht geschlossen werden konnten, da die Abdichtung fehlte und an der Rückwand des Bettes scharfe abgebrochene Heftklammern herausragten. Das neue Zimmer war besser jedoch auch nicht das wie es sein sollte. Lampen funktionieren teilweise nicht. Lichtschalter fehlen. Mistkübel war kaputt. Toilettenpapierhalterung fehlte. Tapeten lösen sich und sind dreckig bzw. Schimmel ist ersichtlich. Klimaanlagen sind stark verunreinigt. Das Hotel sieht aus als als ob in den letzten 10 Jahren nichts mehr gemacht wurde. Wir haben insgesamt 3 Zimmer und alle sehen so aus. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist kalt, sämtliche warmen Speisen bleiben nicht erhitzt, da es keine Warmhaltefunktion gibt. Beim Brot gab es nur Toastbrot aber keinen Toaster. Das Obst war alt und die Kaffemaschinen funktioniert ebenfalls nicht.

It was a very pocket friendly stay with good condition hotel and very friendly staff to hell you at each stage. Very close to Omonia metro station making it very conveniet plus easy access to many street shopping. Daily room service even though website says limited was available. Very happy with the stay and will suggest it others who wishes to stay pocket friendly with easy accees. Don't expect 4 or 5 star hotel facilities even though i should say room space and toilet was very clean.

Hotel storico, che necessita di esser ristrutturato. Sia l'edificio, che gli arredamenti non sono in buone condizioni. Scarsa la pulizia del bagno e della camera. Quartiere pericoloso di notte. L'unica nota positiva va allo staff, sempre gentile e disponibile e alla colazione buona e abbondante.

Good hotel, but things to mention. Single beds instead of double, bath curtain looks old and worn, bath itself is broken. Overall is good hotel, but small things leave a mark. Will never comeback here.

Interior lobby and rooms are very shabby and need cleaning and updating. Breakfast area was clean and food was good.

I requested for a 2 twin beds room but was given 1 double bed. There was just one set of towels and one blanket. I have to request for another set. They were delivered to me at midnight. I arrived around 10:30pm. Receptionist was friendly.

The staff in this hotel are very friendly and professional. When we didn't like the bed in our original room, they upgraded us. However, many things didn't work in our new room - the bath leaked, one of the power plugs didn't work, etc...They could do better.

Das Hotel war sauber und die Mitarbeiter/-innen sehr hilfsbereit. Leider war es aber in der Nacht sehr laut, da es auf der Hauptstraße liegt.

We had the room on the top floor. there were only two rooms on this floor and the rooms are named not numbered. the room come with a seperate air conditioning sunroom. the room and bath are oversized. but the furnishings are definitely in the 70s. cira you must be careful when get in and out of tub shower. the breakfast selection is good for American.

The room was comfortable and quiet and I slept in the bed like I haven't slept in months.

The hotel is slightly outdated, but not as bad as other reviews make it. The staff was friendly and offered some good advice when I was looking for a place to explore.

Staff are extremely kind and helpful. The hotel is fine for just sleeping when you’re out & about all day. It was a bit small for my family but we were gone most of the day so it didn’t matter. Breakfast was good everyday too! It’s not a very safe area but police are active & present.

Hotel vicino la metro, personale gentile, non nuovissimo, stanza spaziosa, bagno con vasca da bagno e tendina, pulizia accettabile. Hotel al centro di Atene vicino alle principali attrazioni turistiche.

We had a good stay at the Delphi. The building is a little outdated but the structure is beautifully classic and has so much potential. At first glance the neighborhood looks a little rough but we felt completely safe walking even at night. Its within walking distance of the old town and its attractions. The staff is awesome and the place.is spotless.

Fading hotel, but a terrible location. The on-site managers were courteous. The breakfast was ok, but we left after the second night because the location was really sketchy. Half a block from the hotel I witnessed a man smoking a crack pipe at 5 in the afternoon. I went out to get something at 7:30 and the streets were lined with pimps, prostitutes and other sketchy characters. I feel bad, as the staff was quite courteous, but I don't know who would stay there. We had booked for 4 nights, but left after 2, knowing that they would not refund the money. Don't go with a family.

Great room for three. Great breakfast. Close to two metro stations. The only downside is the immediate surroundings who is filled with drug addicts day and night.

En la entrada del hotel hay un parque donde viven adictos, no es seguro, el personal de recepcion no es amable especialmente la del turno de dia. La variedad del desayuno es limatada y no tienen un tostador para el pan. No lo recomiendo

The hotel is located In a very rough area. There was drug addicts everywhere outside the hotel. The hotel was dirty and worn out. Some of the staff seamed drunk. The breakfast buffet was nearly not eatable.

De algehele staat van het hotel was niet geweldig. Veel achterstallig onderhoud. Maar de kamer werd wel elke dag schoongemaakt. je krijgt elke dag flesjes drinkwater en nieuwe zeep en shampoo. Onbijt is uitgebreid maar sommige dingen zijn niet vers, zoals de verschillende sappen en overrijp fruit.
