The location was amazing!!! Looking over the site from your room and the restaurant and a private entry to go to the site! Setting can't be beat. Staff was extremely helpful ad pleasant! Room was comfortable. Restaurant was high quality. Even on site laundry! Highly recommend.

There is direct access to the historic site, a friendly local bar and a choice of meals and locations - in the dining room or in the bar. General maintenance around common areas is lacking, with a bit of TLC would make a world of difference,as the location is great. Rooms were very tired,but were clean. Parking for larger suv's was tight. Meals were great,and staff although under the pump were fantastic.

The property was conveniently located. It was very clean and comfortable. A little noisy due to the glass entry door which did not muffle the loud voices on other residents talking loudly on their phones outside on the small verandah.

Water pressure was bad, I had to turn the hot on full and cold off to get some heat and pressure for a shower. Bathroom was dirty with long hairs on dust on walls. Probably been wiped with someone’s towels. There was no hand wash in dispenser do we used shower wash instead.

I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation after all the bad reviews. We stayed in a room on Officers Row with a balcony and a lovely view over The Heritage Site. The room is small but looks exactly like the photos. We had lovely white bed linen and towels. Towels were changed each day. The check in staff were lovely and friendly. The property is old and needs updating but perfectly adequate for our 2 night stay.

Like: Staff were extremely friendly, Bed room it self was a good size. It's walkable distance to the Port Arthur historic sites Dislikes: The bathroom was way to small the shower was only half-size (Triangle Shape 🔺️) Quality of the main menu at dinner was hit or miss.

Very basic room with rock hard beds - barely slept even with blankets on the mattress to try to soften it. Restaurant area was nice as was the food, with good service. Cheap nasty smelling liquid hand soap in the bathrooms.

This stay was a highlight of our trip. Very well priced accommodation, clean & comfortable. Staff offered range of dinners options around town, not just their own, but we chose to dine in their restaurant. Staff were the most helpful & attentive we experienced & meals were sensational. Staff were all but running though the restaurant, delivering meals, checking everything was okay & clearing tables. A staff member even offered & drove us down to attend our booked ghost tour! Over & above service. Breakfast staff advised continental breakfast only had limited gluten free options, so we advised would pass. Rather than just saying no worries staff member offered alternative breakfast options in town - again over & above service you don’t see that much these days. Well done to all your staff we were Amazed!!!

I had dinner at the restaurant the first night of my stay. I was served by a short slim ladie (i don't know her name). She got my order wrong, which happens, but when I spoke to her about the problem, she was very rude and told me it was my fault she ordered my the wrong dish? The problem was not resolved and I left the restaurant unhappy. I have never bern treated so rudely in all my life, this really did ruin my night.

We chose it for the closeness to the Port Arthur site. However we did not get the room requested with the view of the site, we had to wait 15 mins at reception venue finally giving in and going to the pub to get a barmaid to book us in. The pub stinks and is not a good impressionto book in. She then tried to take my credit card details for ??? There is no mini bay or room service so what for…I declined which seemed to tick her off. Room very old, screws hanging out of fixtures, lights cracking when you turn them on, only positive was that linen was clean. On credit had to hang keys in to two staff smoking their heads off out the front…again not a god look.

I liked that it was so close to the Port Arthur Historic Site. The staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was really good. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. We paid $12 and only got 2 slices of toast. Very limited cereal selection and no hot food.

OMG the Young third year apprentice in the kitchen can make the most amazing home-made cheesecake I’ve ever had in my life. The food was outstanding. Portioning sizes are incredible, You’re not paying through your teeth for amazing food. Highly recommend staying here. Plus you get a key to a gate that backs onto the Port Arthur side wonderful wonderful experience.
