A solidly good place to stay in city centre. The service was alright; there were three occasions where we went to the reception desk and, even after dining the bell a couple times, no one was available or came to the desk. There was a sign to go to the bar if that was the case, but the bar was quite busy. Hotels.com state this site has air conditioning and that is not the case - I am not faulting the owner for that; just be wary if you are looking for that. We were on the 2nd floor and it god extremely hot overnight and it was not really a hot day overall. We did ask for a fan and got one; but it was pretty old, dirty, and stopped working after only an hour or so. It is a loud neighborhood, but we expected that and it did not detract from our stay as it was close to everything we were wanting. For the money it was a nice stay, however for those who may want and expect more out of a stay - you may want to seek another place thats a bit more expensive. Overall, good stay and breakfast was very nice. Thank you!

We were warned that we were on the noisy side of the building, and we were. Noise all night from nightclubs spilling into the street then garbage trucks cleaning up from about 4.30am. We were advised that the wifi was intermittant, and it certainly wasnt available for most of our stay. We mentioned that the safe and wifi were both not working, and the counter staff agreed this was the case. The meals only consisted of Breakfast. No food available at other times. There was only Hip Hop music played in McCartneys bar during our stay. The bar staff appeared to be confused when we asked if they ever played Beatles music. Overall, a bit of a disappointing experience, but we did get just what we paid for.

When I arrived I had a minor problem finding the front desk (up some stairs and around the corner). I will say that the people from the front desk to the cleaning staff were very helpful. Breakfast I would have liked to have had a menu to choose from, but it was still very good. The room was a little bit of a maze to get to, again when I got the room it was a nice size and the bathroom was also very well laid out. There was a small problem with the TV it was a basic flatscreen tv so I couldn't get subtitles. As for the Biggest surprise was that although it's above a pub the room was very quiet and restful. Overall I would stay again.

The hotel were up front about the noise until midnight. To check in you had to negotiate drunk youths on the steps. Radiator was on and window open!?!? It was clean and breakfast was nice.

Was ok but no lift stairs are no good for less mobile, room was ok but the bed in sure i was on a hill double bed so who ever was on inside near wall just side side way to your partner so not good the niose from party goers went on till 6.30 the the bin men road sweeps started EARPLUG was ano good so if a light sleeper and had a few drink i still heard everything apart from that the breakfast was spot on .

So we are two older lady best mates from Western Australia and stayed here the last 3 nights. The hotel is quirky and a bit old but there is something about it that we just loved.The staff are so friendly, our favourite was Shelley the gorgeous dark haired barmaid..She was just lovely and her service was exceptional . The breakfast was just fabulous, full English. Love the memorabilia everywhere of the Beatles. There is a bar down the side that played Karaoke till quite late, but the music was awesomeness but shut your window. We loved it and we would stay there again.

Great value hotel ( especially for a single ) in a great spot - breakfast was good - I felt the hotel was in need of a bit of TLC but was clean and staff friendly - Special mention to the gentleman on reception who was extra helpful with info etc

Good location but ridiculously noisy and goes on until 6am....then everyone piles onto the streets making more noise, then the street cleaners turn up, then it's breakfast.....which was awful. A basket of sausage, bacon and hash browns cooked in a deep fat fryer and served with a rubber egg and luke warm beans. Covered in grease and tasted of the fryer. Saying the noise isn't them isn't acceptable. Either fit decent windows or don't be a hotel. Probably ok during the week but may as well sleep in Lime Street station on a Friday or Saturday night.

Took a while to check in due to system used between Expedia and the hotel. Staff were nice. However you need to know the noise level is extreme. My single room was right next to really really loud music which finished at 4am. Room was extremely basic and probably not had a refurb for 15+??? Years. Would be ok if you were out until 4am, but if you are not, I would avoid this hotel

When I arrived I had a minor problem finding the front desk (up some stairs and around the corner). I will say that the people from the front desk to the cleaning staff were very helpful. Breakfast I would have liked to have had a menu to choose from, but it was still very good. The room was a little bit of a maze to get to, again when I got the room it was a nice size and the bathroom was also very well laid out. There was a small problem with the TV it was a basic flatscreen tv so I couldn't get subtitles. As for the Biggest surprise was that although it's above a pub the room was very quiet and restful. Overall I would stay again.

Took a while to check in due to system used between Expedia and the hotel. Staff were nice. However you need to know the noise level is extreme. My single room was right next to really really loud music which finished at 4am. Room was extremely basic and probably not had a refurb for 15+??? Years. Would be ok if you were out until 4am, but if you are not, I would avoid this hotel

So we are two older lady best mates from Western Australia and stayed here the last 3 nights. The hotel is quirky and a bit old but there is something about it that we just loved.The staff are so friendly, our favourite was Shelley the gorgeous dark haired barmaid..She was just lovely and her service was exceptional . The breakfast was just fabulous, full English. Love the memorabilia everywhere of the Beatles. There is a bar down the side that played Karaoke till quite late, but the music was awesomeness but shut your window. We loved it and we would stay there again.

Good location but ridiculously noisy and goes on until 6am....then everyone piles onto the streets making more noise, then the street cleaners turn up, then it's breakfast.....which was awful. A basket of sausage, bacon and hash browns cooked in a deep fat fryer and served with a rubber egg and luke warm beans. Covered in grease and tasted of the fryer. Saying the noise isn't them isn't acceptable. Either fit decent windows or don't be a hotel. Probably ok during the week but may as well sleep in Lime Street station on a Friday or Saturday night.

My error…. Never having been to Liverpool before I didn’t realize where exactly the hotel was located. Eesh, party city! On the other hand it was close to everything. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were so kind and accommodating.

Was ok but no lift stairs are no good for less mobile, room was ok but the bed in sure i was on a hill double bed so who ever was on inside near wall just side side way to your partner so not good the niose from party goers went on till 6.30 the the bin men road sweeps started EARPLUG was ano good so if a light sleeper and had a few drink i still heard everything apart from that the breakfast was spot on .

It is very old beds very lumpy an squeaky breakfast wasn't great never slept a wink on friday night the noise was horrendous there were building work going on outside from 7.30 each morning not a good experience would not recommend.

Staff are unreal. I lost some cash and Mike found it and posted it back to me. He went above and beyond. The receptionist was very helpful and the lady at breakfast too. Great value for money and great location too. Thanks I’ve started a couple of times and will stay again.

For the price in Liverpool good value for money. Not far from train stations, shops and docks, all walking distance. Anfield a bus journey away. We arrived on the hottest day in June, within minutes of getting in the room a fan was delivered to our room, didn’t even need to ask. Everything in the room clean and tidy, coffee tea and kettle provided. Staff were excellent, very friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast in the morning served very quickly and was good. We would definitely stay again.

Right next to Liverpool One. And 15-20min walk to the Docks. As previously stated, plenty of nightlife in the area. I would definitely return. Good value for money.
