This place was so old and run down… We were put on the 3rd floor with no elevator service… Broke down

The pool and hot tub has been shut down for a month or more ..remote was missing 1 battery the best thing about the hotel is the comfortable beds thats it

Our checkin on 6/6/23 was pleasant, the young lady was very helpful and hospitable. The room was average but clean. The pool/hot tub were showing wear and the hot tub was far from 104°, but we dealt with it. The morning front desk help was totally opposite from the night, short/rude. The dining area for the continental breakfast was in dire need of maintenance, milk dispenser was broken, same for OJ. Waffle batter dispenser was slower than molasses in January and the front desk employee snapped, “it’s full, just shake it”! By that time we had plenty of her and checked out. Time fix and maintain!

As mentioned in my previous review... 1.) Pool was closed for no reason (It did not need to be cleaned, it was not broken, it was not closed for the season, I was told it will open again when the manager "feels" like it.) It should not be listed as an amenity if no access is being given to it. It was 93 degrees...how hot does int have to be to "feel" like giving your guests access to that they paid for?! 2.) The water STINKS!!!! The shower head needs to be badly cleaned. The water smells moldy coming out of the shower head but not the faucet. GROSS!!! This made my entire body itch. 3.) The balcony screen had such big holes in it we could not open the slider to all fresh air in. 4.) The AC was stuck on one temp...72 the whole time! The button was missing to adjust it 5.) The in room phone was broken. I even made sure it was plugged in. 6.) The carpets need to be desperately cleaned! My feet were BLACK after walking around the room for a couple hours. I had to wash them multiple times a day and before getting in bed. 7.) The guest above me must have been a family of elephants. Constant bed jumping, slamming and loud bangs through out the night until about 2AM, when I went to call the front desk this is when I found out the phone was broke. 8.) I had to tap the key at least 3 times tot make it work, every time. This was not an ideal stay. I paid for a pool and decided on this property to give my kiddo a chance to swim and relax while in the middle of an out f state move!

Wasnt as bad as people claimed. However 1 room key for 2 people was weird as i had to work late. No extra towels. All the buttons on the elevator inside and out were broken and held by tape. Security was minimal i walked in at 2 am door wasnt locked and no one was in sight. Very minimal breakfast items.

Poorly managed, equipment not maintained. Second floor ice machine not functional. All the dressers' drawers were well worn and looked dirty, wouldn't put my clothes if I had a choice. The bath shower's handle was very loose – I personally tightened the handle with my own tools. No linen service for 4 nights that i stayed, room carpet looked dirty on check-in, bath area's floor was a bit sticky when walking on it. Elevator buttons were held together with electrical tape. Juice machine in the breakfast room not functional, no cream or half & half for my coffee. Would not stay there again.

Upon looking for any hotel in Oroville, I was pleased to see this one had a pool for my grand children. When I arrived and first thing, asked about said pool and the response I was given was “the pool is greener than any grass we’ve never had” the price in my stay includes pool, amenities and such. NOT happy

Staff stated the pool gate would not open and she did not know what to do, we looked over the fence, pool was green with algae. We packed up and left within an hour. Run down, does not look like the internet pictures.

The bed was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke. I ask for clean towels and they didn’t give them to me till the next day

We checked in and the front desk lady was nice through out our whole stay. They gave us a room right next to the front desk which was room #108. When we walked in the room, it was freezing, smelt dirty and looked like it was in the middle of a remodel. We had to ask for a bath tub plug which the front desk lady was helpful with. Then we went to lay down and one of the beds didn't have any pillow cases on the pillows and one of the pillows had a blood stain. So we had to bother the lady again and ask for clean linens. Then our room was freezing upon walking in and we couldn't get the heater to turn on. Had to bug the front desk lady again and she had to change the batteries in the remote then go find another one. The heater is mounted on the wall and the cords were sticking out of the side of it. And to top it all off, there were a few bugs flying around all night. We definitely will not be back to stay at this hotel. You could just see the room wasnt very well cleaned and had a bad smell to it and it wasnt very inviting. It was as almost like they just wanted to make some extra money off an unfinished room so they put a few towels in there and called it a day. We did ask the front desk lady for a new room and she just looked at us like we were a little crazy. We were also up late because we could hear everyone walk in the front door and check in and the staff slams doors through out the night. I just hope other people don't waste their money on a hotel like this.

The room was dirty. Smelt like a wet animal. The bathroom looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned before our arrival. And the free breakfast… literally there was some bread to toast and apple/orange juice. No butter, out of coffee… and yeah what sad breakfast!!

The hotel was not clean. The room was nasty. Bed had food crumbs in it under the mattress cover. Sheets had stains on them. The floor wasn’t vacuumed like it should be. We drove there to celebrate our friends celebration of life from Bakersfield 5 hours and drove back home.

The rooms are always clean, the staff is amazing. Naomi is so sweet. Yhe manager elizabeth is just the greatest. Always makes sure we are comfortable.

Roaches under microwave and bugs crawling on the walls...yuck

Elizabeth the property manager is just amazing. So friendly and kind. Her staff also is very friendly. Never have i had an issue while staying here. Way cleaner than .motel 6 next door.

Very poor cleanliness bathrooms are dirty still had dirt hair from the person before shower was dirty. Makes you think of the bedsheets and blankets and pillows are clean. The maids need to do a better job on cleaning the rooms and the owner needs to do a better job. Supervising to make sure that the rooms are cleaned.

It's disgusting and dirty. So outdated and mold on the ceilings. Holes in bedspreads and stains on sheets. Non-working remotes, TV, and phone in the room. So many dirty things. Food choices were waffles, coffee, and toast ran out of syrup and coffee in the first hour and had no more. The worst stay ever anywhere. Wyndham was contacted, and they did nothing about both rooms. My daughter left never stayed because so gross. No refunds or anything. Don't trust Wyndham hotels any longer there terrible.

Great value. It even has a balcony. Clean and courteous staff.

There were holes in the blanket. There were electrical sockets that were loose and a plug wouldn't stay in it. There were 2 towels but only 1 washcloth and one hand towel- i had to ask for more. There were no notices that you had to ASK for room service. The toilet seat was broken- however the maintaince man replaced it right away. The front lobby was like a sauna when you walked in- no airconditioning. The room had good airconditioning. The staff was very nice. The beds were comfortable.

Good building. Appears recently refinished; nothing special. Near freeway and feather river, but not walking distance to food. Noisy parking lot. Very simple breakfast.

Two night stay that was wrought with surprises. The negatives: an a/c unit that sounded like an old truck changing gears every few minutes and a homeless couple outside the back window. But, the positives: staff that cared and moved us into another room on first floor quickly the next morning and the free breakfasts are finally back! Covid is behind us!

They don’t have room service, unless you specifically ask for it. Toilet leaked. Bathtub was dirty. Room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Hallways were very dirty. A lot of homeless people hanging around outside and in the lobby. Internet speed was very slow.

One of the best prices in town. I believe only hotel with outdoor balconies. Hotel was clean, but building itself is old and kind of rundown. Needs renovation however staff does a.good job of keeping it clean. Lots of homeless/ druggies in area, but thats not the hotels fault.

Great amenities and very spacious!

I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and beautiful this hotel was. It even has a balcony! And the price is very very reasonable. And the place is clean. I travel there are a lot I might stay there every week

1st Room 303 had broken latch on shared balcony and TV didn't work. 2nd room 315 bed comforter looked dirty and had a square cut out of it. On 3rd night 11:45 pm our entry door opened by key card by couple who had just checked in, front desk gave them the key card to our room. Luckily for all we were still up, putting a jigsaw puzzle together. Front desk clerk was either unable or unwilling to contact manager. We talked to manager 2 days later and she says she is refunding 1 night stay of our seven night stay.

The hotel staff is superb. Really going out of the way to make your stay the best possible.

Employees were smoking right by the front door of the hotel. There were trash bags full of clothes or garbage by the entrance. After returning to the hotel yesterday evening (2nd night), card didn't work anymore. Went to front desk and the manager was very unprofessional. She asked me why I had given a bad check in review on Expedia right in front of the other staff. It made me feel very uncomfortable.

To begin, the woman who checked me in was not welcoming especially after a long day of traveling. It was around midnight and she asked me if I had a lazy eye which was extremely out of pocket and unnecessary. I have never felt so mistreated by anyone in customer service. I truly hope that they take this as a learning experience because I let that slide and not everyone is as forgiving or considerate of how frustrating customer service can be. Upon arriving she said “we have no rooms available”, although I assured her we had a reservation. Shortly after checking in we noticed that there was a pad over the peep hole, used soap left in the shower, glass on the patio, black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, boogers on the wall, and boogers near the room door. It was incredibly disappointing to see that deciding on a cheaper room meant we were putting our health at risk due to the state of cleanliness of the room. We asked for more towels because it was a two night stay and we never received any. The building itself seemed like it had so much potential to be great as many of the rooms had balconies which is rare. The lady we checked out with was very lovely and I wish we would have checked in with her, I probably would have felt comfortable enough to express my concerns about our room. She was welcoming, friendly, and communicated effectively.

Disappointed I checked in late hoping to have a good night . First problem I encountered was clerk gave me a key to an occupied room it was embarrassing walking into someone else room. Then had to wait a long time while the clerk figured out who was in the room because they had no more rooms. In the end they were able to accommodate me and my parents but the room had a terrible smell. Did not get the sleep I was hoping

It was really bad smell in the room the screen in the window was broken, the bathroom didn’t have the shower curtain so it was strange and a lot homeless people around but it was good price and location close to beautiful park with access to the river and dog friendly

Nice Hotel Good location

Homeless people hanging out and sleeping outside, and many of the other guests coming in and out looked sketchy. Felt unsafe. Smelled like marijauana in the halls. The breakfast room had old equipment that was broken and left in place while they had work around. Looks like they try real hard to keep the place clean, but it was shabby. Quiet. Polite front desk. Not many better options in Orville except for the casinos.

I stayed one night and the staff were extremely helpful. It was nice and quiet. I’m so glad I got to bring my dog! Overall it was a nice stay

Most of the front desk staff are great and the owner is very nice. Breakfast is good my kids love it

Smoke detector was unplugged and beeping, coffee pot was full of coffee grounds in the water reservoir, and the tray where you put your coffee pod, and I found an unused garbage bag stuffed at the head of the bed, and the room had an off smell to it very faint, but you could tell when you're first walked in the room, and the only thing they had for the continental breakfast was waffles.

The room was a dated ground-floor handicapped room. There was someone loitering with their dog in the dry field outside our window/slider in the early morning, requiring us to close the curtains and apparent homeless people with grocery cart in the field. The patio was also dusty, unkept. The breakfast was minimal, my husband had a waffle & coffee earlier, but there was no coffee or syrup when we were leaving after 8am, so I only had an Apple. We went to Panera in Chico for a bagel and coffee.

It was fine room was decent the bathroom tub had a leak the bathroom was sticky when we arrived. The Breakfast was fine wish there were fruit to top the waffles and the syrup was always out. There could have been more protein choices. But otherwise it was a nice stay.

Overall it was a good stay. The room was clean, but very dated. The breakfast was underwhelming, coffee, juice, apples and a waffle maker. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was nice and hot with great water pressure. I would definitely stay hear again, next time I’m in Oroville.

Breakfast included was only coffee and waffles; nothing else.
