Absolutely great hotel. Clean, well appointed and staff was so friendly and helpful. I liked staying out of downtown or the Galleria. This hotel was in the Montrose area and was quiet and calm. Beautiful gardens and across the street from the DeMenil Coolection.

My wife and I spent our anniversary with the St. Augustine, and had a wonderful weekend. The hotel gives you a warm welcoming feel with it being situated in a neighborhood. The adjacent museum across the street, The Menil Collection, and park also gives it a sense of peace and tranquility. The hotel grounds give it a feel of walking into a friend's home rather than a sterile hotel. All the staff made our stay a memorable experience. We did not eat at the restaurant, but did get some champagne and treats to go. We did go to the hotel bar several times during our stay for some amazing cocktails.

Everything about this hotel is superb - starting with a shoutout to the entire staff for treating us as friends and dealing with everything with a smile. Eric and Jamar were standout friendly faces. The rooms are very comfortable, the vibe is chill, the bar is great. Street parking is easy and the location is great for taking strolls through the Menil Collection and around the neighborhood.

This hotel has great potential--comfortable room, responsive staff, exceptional restaurant--but had some flaws unacceptable at this price point. The phone didn't work, there were no instructions for a complex thermostat, the "hot" water in the shower was lukewarm, and there was no shelf in the shower for shampoo/soap so the bottles were just left on the floor. Also a design problem--the rooms are only accessible from the lobby via a large open courtyard which was really inconvenient in the rain.

Absolutely incredible stay in the perfect location, just cross the street at you're right at the Menil. We were blown away by the service and the quality of our experience here. Firstly, the staff was fantastic! Starting with the valet Jessie, the front desk staff, Sarah the bartender and Andrew the maitre d, all were extremely friendly and enthusiastic! The property was beautiful and comfortable and would highly recommend to anyone. Can’t wait to go back!

The hotel grounds give it a feel of walking into a friend's home rather than a sterile hotel. All the staff made our stay a memorable experience. We did not eat at the restaurant, but did get some champagne and treats to go. We did go to the hotel bar several times during our stay for some amazing cocktails.

Stayed only one night, very professional staff with good service. Location is great, some museums are in very close walking proximity. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. Will definitely stay there again in the very near future!

Absolutely incredible stay in the perfect location, just cross the street at you're right at the Menil. We were blown away by the service and the quality of our experience here. Clean, luxurious, with a fine attention to detail that doesn't go unnoticed. Even the room service felt a cute above the rest.

Everything about this hotel is superb - starting with a shoutout to the entire staff for treating us as friends and dealing with everything with a smile. Eric and Jamar were standout friendly faces. The rooms are very comfortable, the vibe is chill, the bar is great. Street parking is easy and the location is great for taking strolls through the Menil Collection and around the neighborhood.

This hotel has great potential--comfortable room, responsive staff, exceptional restaurant--but had some flaws unacceptable at this price point. The phone didn't work, there were no instructions for a complex thermostat, the "hot" water in the shower was lukewarm, and there was no shelf in the shower for shampoo/soap so the bottles were just left on the floor. Also a design problem--the rooms are only accessible from the lobby via a large open courtyard which was really inconvenient in the rain.

One of the most accessable hotels we have ever seen. wide doors,no furniture blocking the room areas. Outside ramps almost unnoticable. Only the pool fencing gates were too high to reach. Breakfast was very good with excellent staff.

—housekeeping was infrequent. Had to ask multiple times per day for service. Often had to ask housekeeping staff directly to clean the room instead of just taking out trash. Was not allowed access to the dumpster on site to throw away diaper bags —given these issues over multiple days, the guest experience team offered to reimburse me for meals at the hotel but the refund did not clear and I found multiple charges to my room (some of which were not mine) —while the property is well-maintained and the team is friendly, it is clear the hotel is understaffed.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. It was awesome to be able to walk to the Menil Collection. One of our favorite areas of Houston. The only thing that was odd, and a safety hazard was the shower. No door or curtain allowed water to get all over the bathroom floor making it very slippery. We had to put towels down all over the floor.
