I reserved at this hotel because of the large swimming pool and hot tub shown on hotels dot com. Upon arrival, on a sunny day in mid-May, we were informed that neither the pool nor the hot tub were functional. Hotels dot com falsely advertised the nature of the hotel. I will be sure never to use this deceptive web site again.

I trekked up to the Shasta area to chase waterfalls. I decided to stay at this property because it seemed fairly centralized to the places I would be visiting. Check-In: The young man who checked me in was professional, well dressed, and very knowledgeable about the weather & the area. He was patient in answering my questions & very informative on the amenities the property offered. Room: I stayed in the Carmen Suite #211. It was a 1 bedroom suite with a jetted tub. It was right next to the elevator on the second floor. I was surprised at how large the suite was. Overall it was clean, but had a weird smell. I liked the full size refrigerator, microwave, and sink. The couch was a sleeper. The sleeper part of the couch was sunken in. The chaise portion was firm. There were also some white stains on the chaise. There were some stains on the curtains. They probably just needed to be dry cleaned. There wasn't a fire alarm in the bedroom. I notified the front desk when I checked out. If you use the tub, you have to maximize water pressure, otherwise the water will seep onto the floor behind the tub. The tub jets worked great. The tub was a great touch. It elevated the whole suite touch. The ceiling tile left of the tub is hanging down & should be replaced. Overall great stay with minor issues that should be addressed.

The breakfast was just ok. Very small space for a lot of people. I appreciated the bacon. There were a few sausages, biscuits and gravy, cereal, breads, yogurts and a mini waffle maker. There were Cuties and bananas. There were lots of powdered scrambled eggs. Didn't see many eat those. Parking was totally fine. The King Suite has a pull out couch bed. The double bed rooms were sold out so we did this and it was fine. Our blackout curtain was held together with safety pins but that seems like a quick fix could be done and it would have not looked bad.

I was surprised at how dirty and worn the furnishings were. The sink did not work properly and did not drain. The bed was comfortable. Wouldn’t stay there again.
