Property overall was a good experience. Upon arriving at the old town, choosing where to park to access the cafe and get checked in was a little confusing. This was only due to the way the town is laid out and no clearly marked parking signs etc. Once we checked in, we moved our car from a side street and were directed to park in a 3 car garage just off the Main Street. The car garage was secured with a garage door at night. We were assigned an ‘apartment’ room instead of the typical room on Expedia which I booked. It was about 200m up away from the actual cafe and rest of the hotel. The 200m uphill walk was ok for us (in our 40’s) with all our luggage, but may be a bit of an issue for someone with special health requirements or the elderly. The apartment itself was well equipped with a small kitchenette. It included a small fridge, sink, and 2 burner smooth cooktop. I think this suite is attached to a local multiplex. Walls seemed a little thin as we heard the neighbor heavily coughing in the early hours of the morning. Apartment was nice, just not expected to be detached from the main hotel and cafe. I felt like a local living with neighbors, is all. Breakfast was good. It was comprised of several buns, sliced meats and cheeses, spreads, yogurt, orange juice, and a choice of hot beverage. Staff were friendly when we saw them to check in, go for breakfast and checkout. Location of the cafe is good and it’s near the beginning of the main road.

Prettig hotel, hartelijke ontvangst. Midden in het stadje waardoor alle bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand zijn. 2 minpuntjes, ik had een kamer op de 3e verdieping. Met de warmte van de afgelopen dagen was een ventilator prettig geweest. Verder staat bij boeking dat het parkeren €8,- zou zijn, dit was €12,-. Verder een locatie om nog eens terug te komen.

ランドリーサービスがあると書いてあったのでこのホテルにしたが、聞いてみるとなかった。また、駐車場が狭く隣の車とギリギリのスペースに止めるように言われたが、朝出発しようとしたらキズをつけられていた。それ以外はまずまずの内容だった。

Everything was great except furnishings were a bit outdated. Breakfast was served to us rather than buffet style and was very good. Super location! Parking up a hill and in a garage - very clean and secure.

Stannade för en natt. Vacker stad som är väl värd ett stopp. Promenad och god middag i byn. Sängarna var i hårdaste laget och vi saknade air condition på rummet. Det var 30 grader när vi checkade in. Det var svalare på natten som tur var och det gick och vädra i rummet. Frukosten var god och serverades vid bordet. Garage fanns mot 12 euro tillägg. Trevlig personal :)

Amazing town. Excellent location. Excellent, secure parking. Room very clean. A bit dated. Beds comfortable but a bit firm. Our room overlooked street so heard a bit of traffic but nice window box and windows opened for fresh air. Very nice breakfast.

This is what staying in a German Gasthaus is supposed to be like. We stayed inside the city walls and could just walk out the door and be in the old town. Robert met us at the front desk the first day and made sure we were cared for. Clean and well maintained room and breakfast was the way to start your day. THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!

Fantastisk sted å overnatte! En skjult perle i gamlebyen. Vi fant først ikke innkjøringen da vi ikke kunne tro vi skulle kjøre gjennom de gamle murene på byen😂Sjarmerende utsikt og deilig å bli servert frokost fra bakeriet i samme bygg. Rommene er helt ok, rent og fint på det romslige badet. Overnatter du her er du midt i smørøyet av byen! Anbefales på det varmeste.

I stayed here as a solo female traveler and I felt safe. The hotel is in a convenient location. The room is small but clean with a good view. I loved their breakfast! As a vegetarian, I often struggle with having enough breakfast options. They took care of catering to my food preferences pretty well. I would say the downside is the tub is quite high. I almost fell getting out after taking a shower. A small table fan would help since there is no air conditioning.

The best way to describe Hotel Uhl is charming and comfortable. Our room was very comfortable and cute, comfy duvets and pillows, lots of plugs and outlets (bring a plug converter if you come from outside the EU), an updated bathroom, and a wonderful view over both old town and the surrounding countryside. This hotel is also located right between two local landmarks (the Plönlein and the Seiber Tower), and is very walkable to food, shopping, the post office, and historic sites. You get in your steps every day with all the hills and steps, and even walking around the old walls. Check in was very easy and friendly. We appreciated having an old fashioned key to unlock our room and hotel access, so avoid any electronic difficulties. We also really appreciated their timely and welcoming communication before check-in so we felt confident that they were expecting us. They also provided us with a well-designed brochure & map of the city and area, which was great to help us plan our sightseeing and navigate the city. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing town. Excellent location. Excellent, secure parking. Room very clean. A bit dated. Beds comfortable but a bit firm. Our room overlooked street so heard a bit of traffic but nice window box and windows opened for fresh air. Very nice breakfast.

This is what staying in a German Gasthaus is supposed to be like. We stayed inside the city walls and could just walk out the door and be in the old town. Robert met us at the front desk the first day and made sure we were cared for. Clean and well maintained room and breakfast was the way to start your day. THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!

The best way to describe Hotel Uhl is charming and comfortable. Our room was very comfortable and cute, comfy duvets and pillows, lots of plugs and outlets (bring a plug converter if you come from outside the EU), an updated bathroom, and a wonderful view over both old town and the surrounding countryside. This hotel is also located right between two local landmarks (the Plönlein and the Seiber Tower), and is very walkable to food, shopping, the post office, and historic sites. You get in your steps every day with all the hills and steps, and even walking around the old walls. Check in was very easy and friendly. We appreciated having an old fashioned key to unlock our room and hotel access, so avoid any electronic difficulties. We also really appreciated their timely and welcoming communication before check-in so we felt confident that they were expecting us. They also provided us with a well-designed brochure & map of the city and area, which was great to help us plan our sightseeing and navigate the city. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is located above bakery, and the breakfast provided comes straight off the bakery display. It's AMAZING! The food, the location, the hospitality of the hosts, all fantastic. We can't say enough good things about this hotel. The only downfall is the street noise, but when you're located on the main area of the town, you have to expect that a bit. We would stay here again without hesitation!

Das Hotel Cafe Uhl hat mir in jeder Hinsicht sehr zugesagt: sehr freundliche Besitzer, denen ihre Gäste wirklich etwas bedeuten, nettes Personal und super schmackhafte Backwaren. Das Frühstück wird einem sogar an den Tisch gebracht! Ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

Our stay was amazing. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and our room was perfect. We especially loved the shower/tub combo which was convenient after miles of walking.
