Typical mid budget hotel. Staff nice. Was charged for safe I did not use but charge was reversed. Big disappointment was no exercise room. When I travel (sit a lot) morning exercise is a must. Can't remember the last time I went to a motel that didn't at least have a tredmill to use.

This is a decent, well-run hotel. Not luxurious, yet not expensive. Clean and well maintained. Convenient location with many shops, restaurants and near Stetson University. I especially liked that they had a free EV charger.

The room was clean and well stocked. The staff was nice. Unfortunately the hotel was over run with dogs I assume for the dog show at the fairgrounds. The outside smelled of urine and the interior walkways had wet droplets. The pool was full of dog hair. I am an animal lover and highly allergic to dogs and cats. I was sick the entire trip from so much dander. Maybe give a heads up that it’s a partial kennel and hotel for people and their dogs.

I am gkad that I chose this property. The staff was very helpful and provided great customer service. I had rented an electric car and thought I was going to have to run all over town to get it charged not knowing that there was a charging station attached to the hotel. I was so happy to see that. The staff let me charge ny vehicle for as long as I needed to.

The first thing that I noticed the bed was very squeaky. Every time I moved it was very squeaky. I tried to call the front desk. No one answered. No one called back. I did enjoy the swimming pool that was clean, but then my key did not work. For breakfast, the eggs were very good however, the sausage might as well been cardboard. The guide on the television is impossible to use and you just get lucky if you happen to stumble upon a channel that has something worth watching so I left halfway through my second night and drove 9 1/2 hours to come home and get in my own bed.

Nice large rooms in good condition. The breakfast is certainly better than most motels/hotels offering a free breakfast. I found the staff to be accommodating. There was a somewhat large number of transient workers staying at the hotel...can be noisy & tie up the single set of washer & dryer. BIGGEST COMPLAINT: The room doors are REALLY noisy when closing...can hear other doors as they are closed...WAY TOO LOUD. BUT, I would stay there again...given the choices & prices in DeLand, FL.

Hotel in general was dirty, room was not as clean as it should have been and noise levels were unacceptable including “extracurricular activities” from neighbors which we were so unpleasantly subjected too. Did not feel safe eating the breakfast given clientele and staff appearance definitely “got a by the hour” vibe. Overall a poor experience will never stay there again.

The location in proximity to DeLand airport was great. It was also conveniently located near a coffee shop, a restaurant and a grocery store. That's where the good stops. Before we arrived at the hotel, I messaged the property about having another member of my party checking in despite my name being on the reservation. They informed me my reservation was cancelled and then refused to respond after that. Once we got to the hotel to find our room wasn't actually cancelled, we got to our "suite" (2 beds and a sleeper sofa) we found several cockroaches in the bathroom, and 2 pieces of masking tape on a wall with mens names written on them. The sleeper sofa was painfully lumpy and uncomfortable and the air conditioner sounded like a lawnmower, making loud clicks every other minute as it turned on and off again. We booked for three nights but decided to leave early. Like I said, the location was great for our needs but really pricey for a dingey roach hotel.

The room was comfortable and clean. When we checked in, we asked for a 12 noon check out and it was granted. Before 11:30 am, three different housekeeping people came to our door to ask if we were checking out. One of them walked right into the room! That one came at 10:30- a half hour before normal check out.

The desk clerk was very nice even though I arrived to check in near midnight. All went smoothly and I enjoyed my freebie breakfast the next morning before a business meeting near the hotel. I will be back.

Nice play to stay. Daytime front desk staff was awesome! Night time gal was not. I went to the front desk in the evening to ask a question; had to wait for the person to come to the desk. I must have interrupted her eating dinner since she came out with her mouth full of food and unpleasantly answered my question.

Good clean hotel but the breakfast ended a bit too early for a weekend. Also, the housekeeper started knocking on the doors 30 minutes before checkout.

I hate giving a poor review but this hotel really needs upkeep & a maintenance upgrade. The only great thing was Courtney at front desk as she’s extremely cheerful & welcoming. Checking in was good & quick but that was where it ended. The air conditioner wasn’t working, had to call maintenance in & it “worked” but not great. Room Microwave shorted out each time used. The shower tub was pretty gross as it had stains in the tub & mold along the edges. We stayed for 3 nights & each night was welcomed by different bugs, beetles, large mammoth spiders. Shower was just sad with not so great pressure. I hate services that “love to pass the buck” as we asked if we were able to extend our check out from 11am to 12noon as we were here for Stetson University event. I was told to speak to the night shift which when waited and asked the night shift person, was told to come back between 6-7am day of check out (Sunday) to ask that person. Set the alarm and Woke up at 6:30am to go ask to be told that I had to ask the “house keeping at 9am” I explained to them that we were leaving for the university at 8:30am so that we would not be able to ask at 9am. Then the gentleman proceeded to tell me that oh we can’t offer that option for Sunday mornings. Later that morning, my husband thought he’d ask the new person at front desk & was told that as long as we are choice members which we are. She then said oh, you booked with 3rd party so no even though you are members.

Unfortunately, this hotel was one of the worse ones in this chain. Don't get me wrong. I've used Comfort Inn quite a few times but this specific hotel would rank near the bottom of their facilities. The main negative was the smell of the floor and the room. It smelled like dirty rags, very musky and old. The beds and sheets were up to standard and were very comfortable, The hotel needs a thorough cleaning. Probably needs new carpeting. Staff was excellent. No complaints about the free breakfast buffet. Would've changed my rating to 4of5 if not for the smell.
