Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Hotel/hostel itself is brand new with modern, extemely clean facilities. Beautiful garden, on-site bar and restaurant. Rooftop terrace and pool not open yet during my stay but they said will be open for the summer - June maybe ? I stayed in a room for 4 women with ensuite bathroom (toilet and huge shower- very clean with shampoo and shower gel and hairdryer). Each bunk bed equipped with light and charging port and privacy curtains. Plenty of storage under bed and also have lockers locked with a code specifically for you. Outside of your room they also have extra showers and toilets- one side for women and another side for men. They have a mezzanine area with a library/work station, a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle, stove to cook. (Label your food) With tables and chairs. Only have good things to say with Okupa. 11 minutes walk to monistiraki metro station and monistiraki square but also have bus stops close by. THANKS OKUPA staff!

Buona struttura con ampia zona giorno al piano ammezzato. Recente costruzione con concezione minimal dei bagni (che a me non piace: lavelli piccoli su ripiani). Dormitori con solide strutture che non oscillano, ben oscurate. Eccellente check-in via mail: non ci sono chiavi né tessere, si accede con il telefono vicino alla maniglia, attivando un link ricevuto via mail. La zona, nelle immediate vicinanze (raggio tre isolati) è un po' deserta, poi inizia la movida ed è pieno di locali. Comodo, ma non comodissimo, alla metropolitana 12 minuti a piedi da Monasteraki (linea blu per l'aeroporto 50 minuti).

This was a fabulous stay. An upscale backpacker with a great vibe. Great breakfast, music in the evenings and our room (301) had a great view of the acropolis from our deck. A great roof to pool. Easily walkable to most sites.

This was one of the coolest hostels I’ve ever stayed it- and I’ve been to a LOT of hostels. Beautiful design, nice hangout spot downstairs and in the mezzanine, good food, the rooftop was a bonus. How do I get the orange couch they have for my living room? It’s just a vibrant space full of art and interesting people. Also for the hostel rooms they had spacious lockers and a beautiful bathroom. Lastly the staff went above and beyond for me- I lost something and they checked with all the cleaning folks and remembered me and found me to report back. Just really nice of them.

Veldig hyggelig personale, som informerte godt om at det var streik den dagen vi skulle reise hjem og hjalp å finne gode løsninger. Rommet vårt var stort med nydelig balkong og lerret og prosjektor i stedet for tv, noe som gledet 11-åringen. Frokosten var veldig god. Ikke det største utvalget, men det de hadde var topp kvalitet. Eggerøren anbefales. Veldig koselig takterrasse med basseng og utsikt mot Akropolis var også stas.

The hostal well served travelers on a budget. Several choices of shared rooms. Private bathroom in some rooms and even a balcony. Staff are very helpful welcoming residents. I was impressed by the spaciousness, and usefulness in all common areas (library, reading room, computer cubicles, TV breakfast room, kitchen and rooftop pool) and luggage storage room. The building is quite new. The location is close to public buses to Athens attractions. And a 10 minute walk to Manastraki street (major tourist area) open markets, bars/cafes, restaurants, and brand names stores. Metro lines close by. A vert comfortable stay. I would choose this hostal again.

It was my first time staying at a hostel and picking Okupa was the best decision I’ve made. The place is beautiful I stayed for 3 nights and I was close to everything and walked to every attraction. The pool was amazing in the hot weather. Everyone was attentive and friendly from the front desk to Mary the custodian. They have some jam sessions once in a while with great Dj’s if you’re not feeling up to going out.I highly recommend this hostel and can’t wait to return.

The rooftop pool at this property is why you need to stay here. The heat in Athens can be relentless and this very trendy hotel about 10 mins walk from centre of Athens is a great find. The rooms are small but they are as advertised and were modern and light and airy. La déco de l’hôtel est super sympa et la terrasse est waouh ! La piscine en Rooftop très appréciable pour se rafraîchir après une longue journée de marche sous la canicule ! Il y a une kitchenette ouverte à tous qui est très fonctionnelle et propre, avec un coin-repas, des produits en libre-service et un grand frigo partagé, car il est interdit de manger dans la chambre. D’ailleurs, il n’y avait pas de table ni de chaises dans la nôtre. On trouve des fontaines d’eau fraîche dans les couloirs, parfait pour remplir les bouteilles isothermes. Nous avions réservé une chambre avec 4 dortoirs et sa salle de bain privée, exiguë mais très fonctionnelle et propre. L’Hotel est bien situé, proche des principales attractions de la ville mais loin du bruit. Petit bémol sur le petit dej servi au restaurant. Peu de choix, pas de réassort régulier. Une cafetière type nespresso avec dosettes mise à disposition mais pas pratique (il faut demander pour remplir le réservoir d’eau qui se vide rapidement et vider le collecteur de capsules qui se remplit vite, vu le nombre d’utilisateurs). Pas de chocolat chaud ni de cappuccino possibles. Mais les œufs sont préparés à la demande par le cuisinier et sont très bons, puisque non réchauffés comme c’est souvent le cas dans un buffet. Il n’y a pas de parking mais l’accueil nous a suggérés 3 parkings payants à proximité, mais malheureusement sans tarif préférentiel. Une piste d’amélioration peut-être ? En tout cas, personnel aimable et souriant.

Magnifique hôtel très bien décoré et propre. Bien situé, à quelques minutes de marches de plusieurs restaurants et boutiques. Pendant la canicule, nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine sur le toit. Le seul petit point à améliorer serait d’ajouter plus de parasols, ils étaient très convoités avec la chaleur extrême.

Super Hostel mit großen Zimmern und bequemen Betten. Die Betten werden sogar täglich gemacht und Handtücher auch gewechselt. Ausstattung ist wirklich top. Die Unterkunft ist zentral gelegen nur wenn man in Richtung aus der Stadt weg läuft ist die Umgebung etwas gruselig.

This was the worst hotel experience of my life. My roommates were awful. The guy came into the room at 1 am, opened a bag of chips, ate them, and kept burping. The rooms were cramped and smelled bad. I made the mistake of booking a multi-occupancy room and I regret it very much. However, the hotel staff were kind and helpful.

This hotel deserves more stars. Our experience was worthy of a 5 star hotel. Clean, new, modern, practical, staff are great, rooms are nice and big. Our stay in Athens was made more beautiful and enjoyable thanks to the help of the staff there. Recommend anyone who wishes to travel worry-free in a nice and classy atmosphere.

La zona, nelle immediate vicinanze (raggio tre isolati) è un po' deserta, poi inizia la movida ed è pieno di locali. Comodo, ma non comodissimo, alla metropolitana 12 minuti a piedi da Monasteraki (linea blu per l'aeroporto 50 minuti).

Staff were lovely, the rooms were modern and clean, pool could do with an upgrade as it is not very accessible (no entry or exit steps or rails) but the breakfast is great and in a safe neighbourhood, it is a bit of a walk to get places but you know that when booking - still close enough to Syntagma and not too far from Ermou St/heart of Monastiraki

The rooms are small but they are as advertised and were modern and light and airy. This was one of the coolest hostels I’ve ever stayed it- and I’ve been to a LOT of hostels. Beautiful design, nice hangout spot downstairs and in the mezzanine, good food, the rooftop was a bonus. How do I get the orange couch they have for my living room? It’s just a vibrant space full of art and interesting people. Also for the hostel rooms they had spacious lockers and a beautiful bathroom. Lastly the staff went above and beyond for me- I lost something and they checked with all the cleaning folks and remembered me and found me to report back. Just really nice of them.

It was my first time staying at a hostel and picking Okupa was the best decision I’ve made. The place is beautiful I stayed for 3 nights and I was close to everything and walked to every attraction. The pool was amazing in the hot weather. Everyone was attentive and friendly from the front desk to Mary the custodian. They have some jam sessions once in a while with great Dj’s if you’re not feeling up to going out.I highly recommend this hostel and can’t wait to return.

The hostal well served travelers on a budget. Several choices of shared rooms. Private bathroom in some rooms and even a balcony. Staff are very helpful welcoming residents. I was impressed by the spaciousness, and usefulness in all common areas (library, reading room, computer cubicles, TV breakfast room, kitchen and rooftop pool) and luggage storage room. The building is quite new. The location is close to public buses to Athens attractions. And a 10 minute walk to Manastraki street (major tourist area) open markets, bars/cafes, restaurants, and brand names stores. Metro lines close by. A vert comfortable stay. I would choose this hostal again.

La déco de l’hôtel est super sympa et la terrasse est waouh ! La piscine en Rooftop très appréciable pour se rafraîchir après une longue journée de marche sous la canicule ! Il y a une kitchenette ouverte à tous qui est très fonctionnelle et propre, avec un coin-repas, des produits en libre-service et un grand frigo partagé, car il est interdit de manger dans la chambre. D’ailleurs, il n’y avait pas de table ni de chaises dans la nôtre. On trouve des fontaines d’eau fraîche dans les couloirs, parfait pour remplir les bouteilles isothermes. Nous avions réservé une chambre avec 4 dortoirs et sa salle de bain privée, exiguë mais très fonctionnelle et propre. L’Hotel est bien situé, proche des principales attractions de la ville mais loin du bruit. Petit bémol sur le petit dej servi au restaurant. Peu de choix, pas de réassort régulier. Une cafetière type nespresso avec dosettes mise à disposition mais pas pratique (il faut demander pour remplir le réservoir d’eau qui se vide rapidement et vider le collecteur de capsules qui se remplit vite, vu le nombre d’utilisateurs). Pas de chocolat chaud ni de cappuccino possibles. Mais les œufs sont préparés à la demande par le cuisinier et sont très bons, puisque non réchauffés comme c’est souvent le cas dans un buffet. Il n’y a pas de parking mais l’accueil nous a suggérés 3 parkings payants à proximité, mais malheureusement sans tarif préférentiel. Une piste d’amélioration peut-être ? En tout cas, personnel aimable et souriant.

The rooftop pool at this property is why you need to stay here. The heat in Athens can be relentless and this very trendy hotel about 10 mins walk from centre of Athens is a great find. The rooms are small but they are as advertised and were modern and light and airy. The staff at the front desk are so helpful and accomodating and breakfast was served in the lobby downstairs that had a good vibe. La déco de l’hôtel est super sympa et la terrasse est waouh ! La piscine en Rooftop très appréciable pour se rafraîchir après une longue journée de marche sous la canicule ! Il y a une kitchenette ouverte à tous qui est très fonctionnelle et propre, avec un coin-repas, des produits en libre-service et un grand frigo partagé, car il est interdit de manger dans la chambre. D’ailleurs, il n’y avait pas de table ni de chaises dans la nôtre. On trouve des fontaines d’eau fraîche dans les couloirs, parfait pour remplir les bouteilles isothermes. Nous avions réservé une chambre avec 4 dortoirs et sa salle de bain privée, exiguë mais très fonctionnelle et propre. L’Hotel est bien situé, proche des principales attractions de la ville mais loin du bruit. Petit bémol sur le petit dej servi au restaurant. Peu de choix, pas de réassort régulier. Une cafetière type nespresso avec dosettes mise à disposition mais pas pratique (il faut demander pour remplir le réservoir d’eau qui se vide rapidement et vider le collecteur de capsules qui se remplit vite, vu le nombre d’utilisateurs). Pas de chocolat chaud ni de cappuccino possibles. Mais les œufs sont préparés à la demande par le cuisinier et sont très bons, puisque non réchauffés comme c’est souvent le cas dans un buffet. Il n’y a pas de parking mais l’accueil nous a suggérés 3 parkings payants à proximité, mais malheureusement sans tarif préférentiel. Une piste d’amélioration peut-être ? En tout cas, personnel aimable et souriant.

A good hostel in a walking distance from the center. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm for five nights and was surprised how easy this was. I still recommend earplugs for good night sleep. A small annoyance was the electronic locks that you must open with your phone - this means you have to carry your phone everywhere, because the door closes by itself and gets locked. The restaurant is good and staff is friendly.

Awesome place to stay. Secure building, with new tech amenities (building door and room door open capabilities from your own phone) super helpful staff. Like every person was really kind including the restaurant worker who saw me at the wrong side of the building and came to open the door for me and help me to the right place, to the reception to the cleaner to the bartender. Really clean room, comfy bed, great ensuite shower, filtered water fill stations in hallways and great rooftop pool. This was better than a hotel.

We had a great stay as a family of four, with kids ages 7 and 4. The staff were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The four-bed bunk room was a hit with the kids, and the pool was a nice refuge every afternoon when it got too hot. I’d read that this was a hostel-style hotel, but it felt more comfortable than some of the five-stars we’ve stayed at. Incredible staff always wins!
