First time here and it was so amazing! I love that it has 3 pools and so much stuff to do you really don’t have to leave! My 4 year old LOVED the indoor pool and the lazy river! The beach is also right there! They do activities every day as well! It was so much fun and we have definitely found our place to stay when we come to PCB from now on!!

Great place for families with kids to enjoy! Friendly staff, we felt comfortable letting the kids roam a bit. Our room had a good view. The back/Oceanside of the property has a beautiful deck area with swings and hammocks (my favorite). The roaming cats were fun to watch. Couldn't get close enough to pet though. Which I'm guessing to some is a good thing (safer for kids). The lazy river was relaxing and one of our favorite pool areas. The other areas were nice but we visited in the off season so it was warmer inside. Great beach access (with chair options if desired). The was a bar area with games near the walking paths and back deck. I believe there was a small kids playland as well. Of course there were photo ops too. Great for capturing memories. The rooms were a bit outdated but not awful. Parking was a bit full most of the time too. Other than those two things it was a great stay.

There was always too many ppl in the hit tub. Hard to ever get in. Need more hot tubs on the property. And the rooms could use some updatimg. But the property was very big and kept up well. Staff was friendly and helpful

Great place for families! 2 pools, miniature golf, arcade, beachfront. Rooms were spacious; we had a balcony with partial view of ocean. There was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee available. Had to buy bag of ice from the front desk. Wifi & ell service spotty. Only so many parking places in front of hotel; additional parking across the street.

You get what you pay for. This is a family type atmosphere. Lot’s of kids activities. Indoor pool w/lazy river did not close until 11:00 so if you are wanting to go to bed don’t stay in that section. 3 other pool, putt putt, shuffle board, volleyball court, easy access to beach, snack bar has great prices and menu looks good, tiki bar was nice, ice cream shop was good. Grills are available and were used. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the ocean breeze and sunsets.Parking is limited on hotel side but there is a traffic light in front so easy to park in area across the road. Hallways could use better cleaning. Small dogs under 22lbs welcome if well behaved.

We really enjoyed our stay. With 2 pools outdoors and 1 pool and a lazy river pool indoors. There was no overcrowding. Always something going on at nite. Easy access to the ocean. Our room was clean and the staff was always on hand. Their restaurant was just scross the street. I love the ice cream shop. Would stay again Very family friendly.

Friendly staff. Lots of fun! Room was perfect for a family of 4. We were happy to have the option for a bunk bed and a King so that the kids didn't have to share a bed. We appreciated the convenience to pools and the beach. We enjoyed using the heated pools, lazy river and hot tub. It made the cooler weather no big deal! The putt putt course has seen better days but it was still fun. The main negatives were that we had to pay an extra "resort fee" but still had to pay for some very basic amenities like a cup of coffee and ice. The room was good, but didn't have a hair dryer or very many places to hang towels/wet swimsuits, etc.

The carpet was coming up in our room. When we first got there the tv was not working at all. The drain in the shower barely worked and every shower turned into a bath. There was also mold growing above the shower. The halls constantly smelled like weed. It was definitely not worth the price we paid.

The outside amenities are great for children. Otherwise, room was old and not was as pictured online. Floor had old carpet and was wet when we got there. Couch has stains. Mold in the shower and on lamp shades in rooms.

Staff so friendly, but as soon as you walk into the bright cheerful lobby you are greeted with the most unpleasant of smells. It’s like urine and air freshener. My daughter who is 5 was gagging over the smell.

Yes the property is old but the rooms are 100% clean. The staff is amazing and so kind. They respond very fast to text questions and always follow up. It is really great for families. The beach front swings were a favorite of mine. For the price, you can’t beat it.

Everyone was so nice at this property. Especially at the ice cream/coffee shop and gift shop. The amenities are excellent and so is the safety. However the room was so incredibly small and there were cockroaches. We told the front office and they came and sprayed. The rooms desperately need updating and housekeeping needs to come more frequently.

Staff was extremely friendly with easy check-in and easy checkout. The elevator could use a little work. It was extremely slow. And the breezeways could use a little more attention to cleanliness. The rooms were very nice and completely acceptable. We don’t go to the beach to sit in the room in the first place, just somewhere clean to lay our heads.

The property is very old for what they charge. They charge for ice, there’s a coffee maker in the room without any coffee to use in it. The pools are too small and very crowded. They wanted a $20 deposit to use a hairdryer. The tv in the room was tiny and buffered a lot. The boy at the front desk when we checked in was barely polite. The view from the room was fantastic but that was the highlight.

If you are looking for a family oriented place for kid activities that offers a bit of nightlife for parents, this place is great for you. Keep in mind, it was built in 1960 and updated a little in 2010. Our partial ocean view consisted of viewing the main street out front and the other dozen balconies of the other rooms. While there is a coffee maker, it’s a real, home type coffee maker and there is no coffee with it. There is also no shampoo, conditioner, or lotion in the bathroom. There’s no continental breakfast or coffee offered in the lobby but there is a little shop close by to buy it. The beach is beautiful and you can rent umbrella's and kayaks. We didn’t swim in the pools but they did seem decent (again, great for families and kids). If you’re a couple just looking to get down to the gulf shore I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The parking lot was tight and very full when I arrived. Then I was hit with $67 resort fee after thinking the trip was already paid. Elevator was broken. Not off to a great start. Internet service in the rooms terrible. Last night there couldn't get TV to connect. Other than that, nice access to beach, nice pool, room was clean. The restaurant across the street, Coconuts, has good food, bad service.

Friendly staff, close to beach, Coconut restaurant was awesome across street. Parking was convenient and safe. The ability to have multiple pools was fun. Pillows on bed are very comfortable and loved the ceiling fan, made it feel like home. Cons: Room was tiny, no housekeeping, no coffee available, no shampoo available, pools advertise as heated and it wasn't.

Their pet policy isn’t clear and after arriving you can’t have anything over 25 lbs, have to bring your dog in for an inspection, absolutely crazy. A huge inconvenience and they will not refund as of today. Very frustrating in the middle of the night and have to go elsewhere and now out of $500.

The staff was exceptional. The place is a little outdated and a little dirty. We never got housekeeping but wasn't sure if we needed to call to get the room serviced bc of sand from the beach. I originally booked an oceanfront room and was placed in a room with a partial view. Once I called luckily they had rooms available to move me to an actual oceanfront room. We also had issues with our room key but that eventually got fixed. Again the staff was amazing!! Overall we enjoyed the place. We definitely didn't use all the amenities but it was still lovely. Can't give it 5 stars since the room really needed an update. Bed and pillows were fine.

The second morning of our stay 6/25 we were listening to two Sandpiper employees early that morning using much graphic language around the pool area. Later that morning I witnessed the same thing again between an employee in the restaurant by the Tiki bar lounge arguing with a customer about an order. Is this type of language really necessary???

It took us 45 mins to check in at 11:30 at night. There was no one else in the lobby. We weren’t greeted when we walked in. And we could barely hear the girl trying to checking us in. I had to ask over and over for her to repeat herself because she wouldn’t speak up. The hallways and elevator were unclean, sand everywhere. The room itself was terribly outdated and had a very strong odor to it (I couldn’t begin to guess the scent, bug spray possibly).

I had a great time at the Sandpiper Beacon! The location is perfect—right on the beach, and the views are stunning. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and there were tons of fun activities for both kids and adults. The hotel rooms are very clean,that’s a plus even though the hotel is really old it doesn’t look bad. However I left my clothes at the pool for 15 minutes while I went to grab a drink at the bar and got them stolen,when I contacted the front desk they said it was nothing they could they had no cameras of the pool area and didn’t even bother to at least show some empathy.

It was pretty clean, no issues there. Pretty quiet since it was off-season. Some of the rooms are kind of small with those big king beds. Right on the beach was definitely a plus! Coin laundry room on site. I would come back with a group in better weather but i image the traffic is horrendous during warmer months.

We stayed 2 nights in the ocean view room that slept 6. Our view was breathtaking. You could tell that it was a older hotel with mostly remodeled rooms. The door to the batheoom would not stay shut but overall a nice and clean room. The pullout couch had a really thin mattress. The staff was amazing! We called to get some blankets to try to cushion the mattress in the couch and we had not 1 blanket but 2 within 5 minutes. We needed extra towels (we had 6 in the room) and they had those to us within 5 minutes or less as well. There are 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, a gift shop, and a ice cream shop all connected. They have swings to sit on to watch the waves roll in, and hammocks to lie in as well. The view from our balcony was beautiful! One thing that I will say is that if the restaurant across tgr street (coconuts) is recommended, DO NOT go. The food is not great and definitely NOT worth the price. Plus they charge 18% gratuity and that applies to a party of 1 or 15 or more. We will most definitely stay at Sandpiper again!

We stayed in the studio with a kitchen, king bed, and sofa sleeper. Check-in was scheduled for 5:00 PM, but registration was quick and easy. We really appreciated being able to use the resort amenities as soon as we arrived and being able to get into our room earlier than expected, especially since we were traveling with children. The room was okay overall, but it could definitely use some updating and wasn’t quite the same as the pictures advertised. We also didn’t have shampoo or a hair dryer in the room, so I would recommend bringing your own. However, we really enjoyed the view and all the amenities, especially the pools and activities for the kids. Overall, for the price and the amenities available for the kids, I would probably come back again. With a few upgrades to the rooms, this resort would be even better.

This was a really nice little place. We only stayed one night because our original hotel couldn’t accommodate us for an extra night. But, I think this will be where I stay the next time. Nice little kitchen and bathroom. The room was pretty big. The pillows suck but everything else was good.
