Sparta Team Hotel

This place doesn't allow you to effectively charge your phone and requires a card to bring power to your charging area and there's only one per room which means if everyone wants to charge everything only one person can and if you have a universal adapter it makes everything charge slowly, no locks on bathrooms so showering is a risk every time, itchy after one night, checked other reviews and found out this place is ridiculously infested with bed bugs. I had to leave early because I am sick and bedbugs could make me worse and they refused to refund me on the days I didn't stay.

Okay but could be better. You get what you pay. Great location to explore Athens. Front desk staff should know how to speak politely (perhaps Greek speak loud). Staff are not rude but not Canadian standard of politeness.

The hostel itself is fine, if a bit rundown. The staff was friendly and is onsite 24/7. The main problem is the location. It’s in little Pakistan with graffiti on every building. There was a big fight out on the street the night we stayed. Incredibly noisy. Would only recommend for a one night quicj stay, but even that just pay $5 to stay somewhere a little nicer and more safe.

I find staying in this property convenient for short stays and to explore the major attractions of Athens. However, the property lack some basic equipments like the fridge for hostel/hotel stays which is beneficial for tourists walking around Athens on a hot day. Overall, my stay went well, safe and sound.
