The Fox and Maple

On arrival, all staff and other customers were welcoming. The room was scrupulously clean, welcoming and well presented. The bed was comfortable with towels and chocolates laid out, although one of the chocolates had obviously been out for sometime and was discoloured. The bathroom was clean but would benefit from updating. Everything worked as it should though, although I was advised to leave the bathroom door and room window open when having a shower due to the sensitivity of the detectors. Kettle and selection of teas in the room, but no normal tea or coffee. Overall a very clean and modern room but the bathroom would do with updating. Staff very friendly and room exceptionally clean. Unfortunately due to the time I was leaving in the morning, I didn’t have the opportunity to eat at the pub, but it did look like it would be good. Would definitely book again.

The Fox & Maple is a great place to stay, the hosts Tina & Tony could not have been more friendly or accommodating, I would not hesitate to book here again when I’m next in the area.

Clean basic room did what it said on the tin and what we needed it for. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good pub grub.

Friendly staff (owners?) and a quiet room, despite live music in the bar. Would certainly be happy to stay here again when in the area
