This is an older hotel on a small hilly site. If you don't like stairs walking up to the hotel, then this may not be a hotel to stay since the stairs are very steep. The breakfast is all you can eat but you have to order from a limited menu. We had a two bedroom room which only one small bathroom with a single sink.

Breakfast is fabulous in terms of variety and quality. Room is clean and spacious. All staff very pleasant and helpful. Spa is excellent. Feeling warm and comfortable after Rose Garden spa.

Bien que situé un peu loin des 2 petites bourgades de part et d'autre de l'hôtel, accessibles en taxi pour 15 ringgits, cet hôtel est exceptionnel. Il est situé face à un golf réputé et les chambres profitent de la vue. Tout est parfait ici. L'accueil, les chambres, le service et le soin apporté aux différentes salles ouvertes à tous. Relaxing few days in Cameron Highlands. Great hotel, excellent staff and amazing spa! Couldn’t fault it. We ate at the hotel both nights - both meals good value. Hotel arranged a tour for us and even loaned my husband golf clubs to play on course opposite.

Staying at the Cameron Highlands Resort was a highlight. Friendly staff, classic building and great hot pot restaurant. The tour guide Yankee, arranged by CHR was exceptionally good. Definitely would stay again.

Great/different hotel to stay at. Old style colonial hotel, with great service from all staff who really look after you. Dining experiences all great and they have activities that you can do - some paid and one free. Food in the main dining room in the evening is excellent. Hotel is all open plan in public areas and so can get cold sometimes - although I think we missed the fire-lighting. Traffic noise in the bedroom the first (Friday) night we were there was bad - although seemed less of a problem the more nights we stayed. They thoughtfully provide earplugs on the bedside cabinet for this I think. Used them the first night only. Everybody seems to mention this unsurprisingly, but I'm not sure it would be better anywhere else on the main road, and wasn't a deal-breaker for the convenience and everything else.

The hotel was excellent in every way, especially impressed with all the lovely staff. Waiters at steamboat dinner and breakfast were fantastic, so friendly but very professional , nothing was too much trouble. could not fault them in any way. Checkin/checkout staff lovely and welcoming. Concierge staff very helpful and welcoming. Hotel furnishings and atmosphere lovely. Enjoyed the games room and snooker table.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel noch aus der Kolonialzeit. Alles ist supersauber, das Personal unglaublich freundlich und freundlich! Das Zimmer war groß, das Bett bequem (wir lieben harte Betten!), am Abend kommt ein Aufdeckservice, stellt Wasser am Bett bereit und die Schläppchen raus und schließt die Fensterläden & Gardinen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder herkommen!!

Overall, definitely not a 5-star hotel. Maybe many years ago it would have been. The room was very cold (yes it can be cold in Cameron highlands, specially at night). Many stains on the sheets, maybe they were clean and had them from before, but still, many stains that disgust you a bit. On the couch there were also some stains. Also, can be very noisy at night, that’s why the give ear plugs. The breakfast, which was praised by many other reviews, was average at best. We had much better breakfast at 3-star properties in Malaysia. The staff were polite, but they really were trying to convince us to use their taxi service only. The receptionist was telling us we have to call the taxi driver to return back otherwise we will not find a taxi back, which was just a lie. Also he suggested us a taxi private tour which was paid per hour, and he didn’t tell us there is a minimum 3-hour duration for it. Result being, the taxi driver was taking his time, but when we said we re good to go he just rushed to get us at the end of the trip and told us minimum 3 hours and you pay. Overall the hotel was not bad, probably better than most options around, but definitely overpriced and not a 5-star property, in my opinion.

Despite hotel providing ear plugs, could still hear noise coming from the main road. Bed quilt was smelly and waited about 1/2 hour to replace. Rain shower was good but can see soap scum on glass and surrounding. Brekkie was good but considering paying top price for the 2 rooms, there are better options elsewhere.

Lovely hotel and staff. The steamboat restaurant was a great experience, breakfast was very good but the main evening menu we found just ‘ok’. The location isn’t near any amenities but you can walk down to the town centre in 45 minutes. The hotel is on a very busy main road and the traffic is noisy at all times. Also the adjoining rooms don’t offer much privacy as you can hear your neighbour quite clearly.

This property gives an impression that it’s located on a golf course but it’s not, it’s across the street, and it’s quite a noisy street. Hotel rooms are spacious, very elegantly furnished and decorated, but these rooms have paper-this walls, I could hear every car passing by so as the next door guest’s snoring. Service is good and staff are amazing; I must mention couple of staff, Hirdoy and Hossain, they were very caring, respectful and friendly.

Room is spacious and in England style, staff is kind and helpful. Balcony with greenfield in eyes. Relax and comfortable stay. Dinner is delicious. Breakfast is great that all you can eat. Bed is relatively small (twin bed).

What a wonderful hotel. Truly. Great location away from town, with lovely views of the golf course greenery across the road. The decor is beautiful, the staff are first rate, and the restaurant food is excellent (both breakfast and dinner). Our Deluxe Room, Balcony, was spacious and well laid out, with a super bathroom. There's a lot of history in this property, and we were delighted that we selected it. I can't imagine staying anywhere else if we return to Cameron Highlands

Room was great, except for the windows. They were not properly fitted and let all the road noise in. The hotel has provided ear plugs so we're conscious of this, but the noise was very bad. Food was great but expensive. Service was very good. I would return.

The hotel location in front of the golf club is excellent. The hotel is elegant and grand, and value for money. The staffs are very professional and friendly. The F&B is just okay. The breakfast was very mediocre; the hotpot at the Gonbei Restaurant was excellent ; the afternoon tea was okay and the dining room dinner was just average. Only the ice plant salad was exceptionally good. The hotel grounds were beautiful. The room with the balcony was very specious and bright. TV was not working some of the time, with only a few channels.

The staff are all incredible and it's a gorgeous hotel. The only thing to note is that most of the rooms face the main road which was noisy even for us Londoners accustomed to using earplugs. We didn't ask to move since we only stayed two nights so maybe there are some quieter rooms - but it did look like they're all on the same side of the hotel. Also the walking guides they provide were the highlight of our trip - such incredible knowledge as they take you through the jungle. It was worth staying at the hotel even if it was just for them

Truly Caring Staff and a Memorable Stay We stayed at Cameron Highlands Resort for 3 nights starting 11 April, booking 6 rooms for our family. The staff, especially Kimie and Kee, were incredibly patient and helpful in accommodating our requests—twin beds, room preferences, and even upgrading us to a suite so my sister with mobility issues could stay close to us. On our second day, my elder brother, who has Parkinson’s, suddenly lost consciousness due to the highland altitude. It was a terrifying moment. Kee responded swiftly and arranged an ambulance within 15 minutes, while Kimie offered to drive me to the hospital. Thankfully, after medical attention, my brother recovered well. Kimie stayed with us the entire time—his kindness and support truly touched us. The resort itself is beautiful, with a charming British colonial design and a calm, welcoming vibe. All the staff were warm and friendly, making us feel completely at home. We’re so grateful and will definitely return. This is not just a lovely resort—it’s a place with genuinely caring people. Overall, definitely not a 5-star hotel. Maybe many years ago it would have been. The room was very cold (yes it can be cold in Cameron highlands, specially at night). Many stains on the sheets, maybe they were clean and had them from before, but still, many stains that disgust you a bit. On the couch there were also some stains. Also, can be very noisy at night, that’s why the give ear plugs. The breakfast, which was praised by many other reviews, was average at best. We had much better breakfast at 3-star properties in Malaysia. The staff were polite, but they really were trying to convince us to use their taxi service only. The receptionist was telling us we have to call the taxi driver to return back otherwise we will not find a taxi back, which was just a lie. Also he suggested us a taxi private tour which was paid per hour, and he didn’t tell us there is a minimum 3-hour duration for it. Result being, the taxi driver was taking his time, but when we said we re good to go he just rushed to get us at the end of the trip and told us minimum 3 hours and you pay. Overall the hotel was not bad, probably better than most options around, but definitely overpriced and not a 5-star property, in my opinion.

Relaxing few days in Cameron Highlands. Great hotel, excellent staff and amazing spa! Couldn’t fault it. We ate at the hotel both nights - both meals good value. Hotel arranged a tour for us and even loaned my husband golf clubs to play on course opposite.

The hotel was excellent in every way, especially impressed with all the lovely staff. Waiters at steamboat dinner and breakfast were fantastic, so friendly but very professional , nothing was too much trouble. could not fault them in any way. Checkin/checkout staff lovely and welcoming. Concierge staff very helpful and welcoming. Hotel furnishings and atmosphere lovely. Enjoyed the games room and snooker table.

Lovely hotel and staff. The steamboat restaurant was a great experience, breakfast was very good but the main evening menu we found just ‘ok’. The location isn’t near any amenities but you can walk down to the town centre in 45 minutes. The hotel is on a very busy main road and the traffic is noisy at all times. Also the adjoining rooms don’t offer much privacy as you can hear your neighbour quite clearly.

What a wonderful hotel. Truly. Great location away from town, with lovely views of the golf course greenery across the road. The decor is beautiful, the staff are first rate, and the restaurant food is excellent (both breakfast and dinner). Our Deluxe Room, Balcony, was spacious and well laid out, with a super bathroom. There's a lot of history in this property, and we were delighted that we selected it. I can't imagine staying anywhere else if we return to Cameron Highlands

The staff are all incredible and it's a gorgeous hotel. The only thing to note is that most of the rooms face the main road which was noisy even for us Londoners accustomed to using earplugs. We didn't ask to move since we only stayed two nights so maybe there are some quieter rooms - but it did look like they're all on the same side of the hotel. Also the walking guides they provide were the highlight of our trip - such incredible knowledge as they take you through the jungle. It was worth staying at the hotel even if it was just for them

Excellent hotel for its location only sad issue is how busy the road is on front of the hotel,. Not the hotels fault but a reflection of the developments in the Highlands since the hotel was built and can imoact on some rooms staff friendly and effient good standard of food but shame not a wider selection of fruit at breakfast

What an incredible hotel this is!! Everything about it was amazing. We loved the layout and the balcony overlooking the golf course and gardens. The staff were attentive and so friendly and always happy to help. The afternoon tea, steamboat and a la carte restaurant were delicious and to a high standard. We were also grateful to the staff who helped organise some bespoke trips to see the sunset and do some hiking around the stunning cameron highlands and tea plantstions. We would 100% recommend this place and would love to visit again!

Nice property in the spirit of English Tudor style architecture. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Now we stayed in a front street facing 2 bedrooms suite and it is virtually impossible to sleep with the amount of noise coming from the road….you understand why they provide ear plugs as standard amenities. Separately we had Xmas eve dinner at the hotel and it was hugely disappointing on all fronts, be it for kids or adults. Serving a full plate of green salad with some chicken bits and a pre-made sauce makes no sense whatsoever, the sausage was one of those supermarket type with cheese inside and looked tasted very unappetizing. For adult, the stuffed turkey roulade was dry and tasted more than ordinary, the mash was indescriptible, and the veggies served were just steamed if not micro-waved. The poached apple fo dessert was torturously hard and hard to cut even after asking for a knife. For the positive, the bread was all right as well as the tomato soup…still hugely disappointing overall, especially when you pay the price.

The hotel location in front of the golf club is excellent. The hotel is elegant and grand, and value for money. The staffs are very professional and friendly. The F&B is just okay. The breakfast was very mediocre; the hotpot at the Gonbei Restaurant was excellent ; the afternoon tea was okay and the dining room dinner was just average. Only the ice plant salad was exceptionally good. The hotel grounds were beautiful. The room with the balcony was very specious and bright. TV was not working some of the time, with only a few channels.

Dining experiences all great and they have activities that you can do - some paid and one free. Food in the main dining room in the evening is excellent. Hotel is all open plan in public areas and so can get cold sometimes - although I think we missed the fire-lighting. Traffic noise in the bedroom the first (Friday) night we were there was bad - although seemed less of a problem the more nights we stayed. They thoughtfully provide earplugs on the bedside cabinet for this I think. Used them the first night only. Everybody seems to mention this unsurprisingly, but I'm not sure it would be better anywhere else on the main road, and wasn't a deal-breaker for the convenience and everything else.

The room was clean and comfortable. While there is no air conditioning, the fan cools the room down nicely after a little while. The shower area is a bit narrow, but still acceptable. My family of 6 experienced exceptional dinner and breakfast service from Hridoy, the restaurant waiter. There are also great amenities and activities for both adults and kids. I will definitely be returning next time when I’m back at Cameron Highlands.

The hotel is located in an easily accessible area that is close to different hiking trails and close to Tanah Rata. My husband and I joined the jungle trekking organized by the hotel and we had done Trail 10 with a guide who is super informative teaching us all kinds of plants in the jungle. It’s worth doing that. The best part of our 4 nights stay is our massage in their Spa. We had a 30 mins tea bath first followed by a Malay massage. The service is very good and the massage is almost the best we had in the past few years experiencing different massage in the resorts in Phuket, Danang, Bintan Island and Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, the spa environment is quite noisy, as it is situated near the staff motorcycle parking area and close to the main road, with no soundproofing in place.
