I stayed 4 nights at Golden Beach Resort in Krabi and gave it 2 stars. ⭐ 1 star for the location — right on the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops in Ao Nang. Excellent location. ⭐ 1 star for the pool and its beautiful view. However, the pool is open only 9 AM–6 PM. Closing before sunset and not opening earlier for morning swimmers is not 4-star standard. Everything else feels like 3 stars at best. WiFi: Essentially non-existent. Speed tests showed about 1 Mbps — not enough even for WhatsApp. Rooms far from the lobby had zero signal. I complained daily and was told “the technician is on the way.” The “technician” seemed to be the same gentleman handing out pool towels, occasionally going to “reset the router.” Nothing improved. Do not expect working internet. Rooms are outdated: worn doors, old flooring, poor lighting, cheap plastic balcony chairs. Even the bathroom door forces itself shut. Only one key card is provided, so you cannot charge devices while out. The suggestion? “Charge in the lobby.” If you want a 3-star hotel with great location and pool, fine. If you expect a real 4-star resort experience — not here.

This was a perfect place to take the family for a few days before we left.The beach is clean you can get amazing massages and see wild monkeys playing in the sand. The breakfast was good, great location. Amazing choices of restaurants, day trips and we were able to buy lots of gifts and get all our laundry cleaned. The only bad point was the pool closed quite early and the kids loved it.

My husband and I loved the location of this hotel right on the beachfront. It is an older hotel but we quite liked this aspect of it. Our room was a good size and we had a lovely view of the pool with the mountains behind and we could also see the sea. The pool was great. Nice and big and always warm. The staff were always cleaning the toilets and the communal areas. Some of the pool towels were a bit tatty and could do with being replaced. We always managed to get a sun lounger as people come and go. It was a lovely setting to have breakfast which was decent. You can always have fresh omelettes/poached eggs etc made for you. We did have lunch in the restaurant one lunchtime but it wasn't great. The staff don't have a lot of English but they were all friendly and helpful. It has previously been mentioned that a deposit of 3000 baht had to be paid in cash, but this wasn't the case. A credit card hold was taken. All in all, we spent a lovely week here. The location of this hotel is perfect, nice and quiet but not far to walk to the bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel and i would stay here again.

Fin bungalow med god plass og hage utsikt. En stor dobbelseng, pluss en 90 cm seng. Madrasser harde, så ba om å få lagt på ekstra overmadrasser. Ble fikset umiddelbart. Frokost ikke den beste. Var vanvittig mye bier som holdt seg på buffet området. Var lite innbydende. Bassengområdet var bra, og solsenger hadde overmadrass. Staben som styrte bassengbar, var ikke akkurat veldig service innstilt. Satt mest å pratet bak baren. Rengjørings personalet var veldig service vennlige, og hyggelige. Alt i alt, et greit opphold

The pool closed at 6, which was a let down. You have to throw your toilet paper in the trash can which was different. They only provide one key which works all electrical in the room so if you put something in the fridge it’s warm and bad if you leave the room. The AC does not stay on either, so when you’ve been at the beach all day you come back to a very hot room. The staff was amazing and the breakfast buffet was good but had limited options and a lot of bees.

My kid loves the swimming pool. We like the convenience to all the nearby amenities. Only issue is our room was on the 2nd floor and there are no elevators. Having two large suitcase going up/down wasn't fund.

The resort was beautiful, and our room was beautiful and spotless. The service was excellent. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet. The pools were clean and in a lovely setting. The hotel was a short walk to all the action, but very quiet and away from the hustle bustle. It was also close but not too close to the Monkey Trail, which was fun.

Very nice resort right in front of the beach and walkable from many dining options. Some cobwebs here and there. Be aware of small lizards, you may see one in your room at night but overall great stay.

Die Anlage war sauber und gepflegt. Das Zimmer geräumig und ebenfalls sauber. Das Badezimmer ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber auch das war sauber. Die Matratzen wurden in manchen Bewertungen als zu hart kritisiert. Sie sind in der Tat recht hart, was ich allerdings extrem bequem fand, v.a. bei Rückenbeschwerden. Beim Frühstück wurde immer schnell alles nachgefüllt und Geschirr abgeräumt. Die Frühstücksauswahl war gut. Vielleicht könnte man für den europäischen Geschmack noch eine Sorte Käse anbieten, aber das sind Kleinigkeiten und nicht wichtig für die Bewertung. Es gibt fußläufig alles, was man braucht oder nicht braucht. Mir persönlich ist es in Krabi zur high season viel zu voll und laut, aber das weiß man ja. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand, der auch sehr gepflegt ist. Ein bisschen Müll lässt sich jedoch nicht verhindern. Am Pool gibt es genügend Liegen, wir hatten nie Probleme welche zu bekommen. Alles in allem eine schöne Anlage, in der wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben und ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

不衛生、笑顔無し、やめた方が良いです。 タオル交換はされずに何故か使ったタオルをバスルームに干してある。 交換を頼むが足拭きマットは交換されずそのまま。この作業を毎日繰り返すストレスはリゾート地では辛い。 外出中には電気が切れるので冷蔵庫の飲み物はほぼ常温、帰ってきた時の部屋の暑さは凄く、蚊取り線香の用意も無し。 ホールスタッフも人数が足りず、笑顔もなく、簡単な依頼事もまともに処理できない。 朝食も酷く、コロナ後営業再開でまずは経費を最大限削り失った利益確保に邁進中、前従業員は戻らず未教育の素人でスタート再開した酷い施設だとひと目でわかります。 評価が良いので宿泊しましたが，エクスペディアの評価は信じてはならないと勉強させられました。

Excellent location. ⭐ 1 star for the pool and its beautiful view. However, the pool is open only 9 AM–6 PM. Closing before sunset and not opening earlier for morning swimmers is not 4-star standard. Everything else feels like 3 stars at best. WiFi: Essentially non-existent. Speed tests showed about 1 Mbps — not enough even for WhatsApp. Rooms far from the lobby had zero signal. I complained daily and was told “the technician is on the way.” The “technician” seemed to be the same gentleman handing out pool towels, occasionally going to “reset the router.” Nothing improved. Do not expect working internet. Rooms are outdated: worn doors, old flooring, poor lighting, cheap plastic balcony chairs. Even the bathroom door forces itself shut. Only one key card is provided, so you cannot charge devices while out. The suggestion? “Charge in the lobby.” If you want a 3-star hotel with great location and pool, fine. If you expect a real 4-star resort experience — not here.

Decor was very dated, the hotel needs a bit of renovation. The bathroom in particular is very old. The sun loungers round the pool are plastic, looks a bit tacky. We stayed in other hotels in Thailand for the same price you had nicer decor which gives a nicer experience. The hotel is in a perfect location and the beach and scenery are stunning. The staff are very polite as always in Thailand.

Location was amazing! Our room was beautiful with a peak of the ocean. Unfortunately our AC went out the last 2 days and it was very hot and humid. Also the beds were extremely stiff. Lastly the staff upon check in were friendly but check out was a different story. When we were trying to get a ride back to the airport no one cared to help

Really nice hotel with friendly staff and the best location in Ao Nang. As other guests writes, the beds are very hard and close to uncomfortable. Should have a thicker top mattress and problem would be solved. That the only claim I have, all other things works. Ok breakfast and nice pool.

The pool closed at 6, which was a let down. You have to throw your toilet paper in the trash can which was different. They only provide one key which works all electrical in the room so if you put something in the fridge it’s warm and bad if you leave the room. The AC does not stay on either, so when you’ve been at the beach all day you come back to a very hot room. The staff was amazing and the breakfast buffet was good but had limited options and a lot of bees.

The property location was great, but we didn’t have the best stay. Reception wasn’t very friendly, our room had no hot water - until 3+ phone calls to unfriendly reception and 3+ hours later - with no communication about how or when it would be fixed. Grateful to the trades/ engineers who fixed it! The room was spacious but the bed was rock hard, and the fridge did not cool drinks at all. Breakfast was good but the dining area has limited seating in wet weather - we felt for the staff who were mostly very accommodating in trying to find a spot to sit. Also to note if you’re using Grab for transport, I don’t think they are allowed to use the esplanade - hotel lobby to pick you up and drop off, so be mindful if you’re looking for transport with your luggage - you’ll have to walk 40M or so get to their pickup point.

Store fine rom, godt vanntrykk, god enkel frokost med egg etter eget ønske. Fantastisk utsikt fra både rom og restaurant. Alltid hyggelig personell når vi kontakter dem. Savner bar/baronesse på kveldstid, men det finner du bare små steg unna.

Well, our check in didn’t go to plan due to a mix up between the hotel and Expedia. Nevertheless, the manager went above and beyond to rectify this and even upgraded our booking to include breakfast as a thank you. Now, without boring anyone, it’s on the beach and easy access to everywhere and everything. This is where u want to stay if you’re in Ao Nang (Krabi).

Fin bungalow med god plass og hage utsikt. En stor dobbelseng, pluss en 90 cm seng. Madrasser harde, så ba om å få lagt på ekstra overmadrasser. Ble fikset umiddelbart. Frokost ikke den beste. Var vanvittig mye bier som holdt seg på buffet området. Var lite innbydende. Bassengområdet var bra, og solsenger hadde overmadrass. Staben som styrte bassengbar, var ikke akkurat veldig service innstilt. Satt mest å pratet bak baren. Rengjørings personalet var veldig service vennlige, og hyggelige. Alt i alt, et greit opphold

Personalen är inte så värst serviceminded. Krånglig incheckning. Försökte att få hjälp med att beställa taxi till flygplatsen, men de rådde mig att ta en på gatan. Sammanfattningsvis så kunde servicen varit bättre.

Bad staff in reception mumbling and gave us no feeling of beeing welcomed. Pool only open until 6pm. Towels must be back before 8pm. Decent breakfast. Dusty shells in room. Bad service at restaurant x 3. Old damage furniture in room. We stayed here before and like it but this time it was really not good service.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It’s right on the beach and the pool is beautiful. Breakfast is excellent. Overall great value for the money. Had to move rooms at one point as they were doing renovations on the room next door but the staff helped with that and we ended up with a better room anyway. Staff were all lovely.

This resort has seen better days! Everything, including in the common areas, feels quite dated. Having said that, everything is kept very clean and tidy. The resort‘s biggest advantage is also is biggest disadvantage - its location directly at Ao Nang Beach. The longtail boats, taking tourists to the islands and to Railay Beach, run all day, non-stop, from 0700 until dark. They leave from Ao Nang Beach and all go by the resort - a constant stream of loud truck engines. In the resort, service was middling at best. This started even before my arrival - my contact and request to arrange pick-up and transfer from the airport was simply not responded to at all. None of the staff, including front desk, seem to understand or speak much English, which makes negotiating check-in or early check-out quite challenging. Breakfast was disappointing. There is a variety of options, but everything - including the Thai food - was bland and felt (and looked) of low quality. The free WiFi provided was terribly slow and patchy - no use for working or browsing. The pool area is small but nice, pool/beach towels are provided and can be changed as needed. There are plenty of restaurants and bars, including beach-front bars, in the vicinity, which is good.

Das Resort liegt direkt am Strand und wird seit Jahren sehr gut gepflegt, weshalb es noch immer fast wie neu erstellt ist. Wir fahren immer wieder hin und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Ich kann Golden Beach Resort Aonang in jeder Beziehung nur empfehlen!
Das Resort liegt direkt am Strand und wird seit Jahren sehr gut gepflegt, weshalb es noch immer fast wie neu erstellt ist. Wir fahren immer wieder hin und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Ich kann Golden Beach Resort Aonang in jeder Beziehung nur empfehlen!

Beautiful property steps away from the most beautiful beach! Very clean with great AC. The pool area is beautiful. Walking distance to anything you could possibly need and a short ride or bolt away from local attractions like Din Daeng Doi. Great breakfast too! Thank you Golden Beach Resort. ❤️❤️❤️

We LOVED our stay here so much we tried to extend but there were booked. The villa was so peaceful, loved that it was just to the side of the main strip so it was quiet but a 2 minute walk to the crazy.

My husband and I loved the location of this hotel right on the beachfront. It is an older hotel but we quite liked this aspect of it. Our room was a good size and we had a lovely view of the pool with the mountains behind and we could also see the sea. The pool was great. Nice and big and always warm. The staff were always cleaning the toilets and the communal areas. Some of the pool towels were a bit tatty and could do with being replaced. We always managed to get a sun lounger as people come and go. It was a lovely setting to have breakfast which was decent. You can always have fresh omelettes/poached eggs etc made for you. We did have lunch in the restaurant one lunchtime but it wasn't great. The staff don't have a lot of English but they were all friendly and helpful. It has previously been mentioned that a deposit of 3000 baht had to be paid in cash, but this wasn't the case. A credit card hold was taken. All in all, we spent a lovely week here. The location of this hotel is perfect, nice and quiet but not far to walk to the bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel and i would stay here again.

Var vanvittig mye bier som holdt seg på buffet området. Var lite innbydende. Bassengområdet var bra, og solsenger hadde overmadrass. Staben som styrte bassengbar, var ikke akkurat veldig service innstilt. Satt mest å pratet bak baren. Rengjørings personalet var veldig service vennlige, og hyggelige. Alt i alt, et greit opphold

The pool closed at 6, which was a let down. You have to throw your toilet paper in the trash can which was different. They only provide one key which works all electrical in the room so if you put something in the fridge it’s warm and bad if you leave the room. The AC does not stay on either, so when you’ve been at the beach all day you come back to a very hot room. The staff was amazing and the breakfast buffet was good but had limited options and a lot of bees.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It’s right on the beach and the pool is beautiful. Breakfast is excellent. Overall great value for the money. Had to move rooms at one point as they were doing renovations on the room next door but the staff helped with that and we ended up with a better room anyway. Staff were all lovely.

Nice and close to the beach and attractions. The restaurant here was very good and very popular…stick to the Thai food :) the staff were very friendly. Would come again.

This resort has seen better days! Everything, including in the common areas, feels quite dated. Having said that, everything is kept very clean and tidy. The resort‘s biggest advantage is also is biggest disadvantage - its location directly at Ao Nang Beach. The longtail boats, taking tourists to the islands and to Railay Beach, run all day, non-stop, from 0700 until dark. They leave from Ao Nang Beach and all go by the resort - a constant stream of loud truck engines. In the resort, service was middling at best. This started even before my arrival - my contact and request to arrange pick-up and transfer from the airport was simply not responded to at all. None of the staff, including front desk, seem to understand or speak much English, which makes negotiating check-in or early check-out quite challenging. Breakfast was disappointing. There is a variety of options, but everything - including the Thai food - was bland and felt (and looked) of low quality. The free WiFi provided was terribly slow and patchy - no use for working or browsing. The pool area is small but nice, pool/beach towels are provided and can be changed as needed. There are plenty of restaurants and bars, including beach-front bars, in the vicinity, which is good.
