$30 a day for valet parking is expensive for this level of property. If we would have known we would of chosen another location.

Great hotel and location! Easy walk to grab a meal and a quick drive to downtown Pasadena as well as other nearby cities/neighborhoods. Love the workout room in this hotel, it has a good assortment of weights and cardio machines to help you get your work-out in while you are traveling. The hotel is fairly new so the interior and exterior look great. Also, I like the way the lounge area is set-up ...there is a fairly spacious area near the loop where you can enjoy a light meal and/or work on your computer. The bar offers a decent assortment of wine, etc and seating the extends to the outside which is also nice in the evening. Overall, the hotel feels bright and welcoming, particularly the first floor.

We stayed for leisure and had a great experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable, with an excellent bar area that was perfect for relaxing. The street views overlooking downtown Pasadena were a nice touch and added to the overall vibe. We also brought our Yorkie, Sylvester, and the experience was seamless for him as well. I’d absolutely recommend AC Hotel Pasadena to friends or business associates.

We had a good stay. Highlights were the hotel staff, the breakfast, the downstairs lounge, the same-floor water dispenser, the street parking a block away, the fitness center availability, presence of USB plugs in the room, easily configured Netflix. Room and fitness center were very clean. Very minor issues included: rooftop closing early (we were told at 10:30pm we couldn't have a drink as they were closing), room toilet tends to stay stuck in flush mode, the courtyard view is nothing to speak of, rooms can feel claustrophobic as they're on the smaller & darker side. What we'll remember: breakfast and close-by street parking free til 10am. If we look again for a hotel in the same area, we'll consider staying here again.

This property is beautifully designed. We loved the lobby bar that opens up to downtown Pasadena. Staff throughout were super helpful and nice. Market, water refill & great breakfast set up are all really practical. Our room was small but had everything you could need & was spotlessly clean. Comfy bed! Didn’t get a chance to check out the rooftop but we were staying on the 6th floor and it always looked buzzing - will def go back. Will only be staying at this hotel when visiting Pasadena from now on.

I have been staying at the AC almost every week for the last two months. The hotel is still struggling with service on the roof deck ( very poor). The AC was obviously very clean when it first opened however with the lack of help it’s definitely not as clean as it once was and is beginning to have a bad smell. This morning my bad I had some milk with my breakfast and OMG!! it had expired 6 days ago and was already spoiled. Overall I love the location, front staff is absolutely amazing, I just feel the wrong people are managing the different departments. Maybe it’s because of a labor shortage?

During check in, the staff didn't tell me anything and just charged me $100 per night for deposit. No information or direction was provided during check in. Stayed for 3 nights. No housekeeping provided. I called them on the 2nd day asking about housekeeping, told us that housekeeping is every other day. but they never showed up. Parking is $40 per night. Going in and out is inconvenient Supplies in the room wasn't refilled when I first entered the room. Had to ask them to refill them. No hand soap was provided in the bathroom, had to ask them for it.

I wrote a lengthy email to the manager on the day that I checked out of the hotel. I have heard back from no one. My main issues are 1) lack of housekeeping leading people to dump their garbage in community garbage cans near the elevators, causing wretched smell for the first several days. 2) pot smoke was being pumped into our room through the ventilation system at all hours of the night. One night it was so bad that we woke up with raw throats and burning eyes. I don’t want any kind of smoke being pumped into my room when I’m trying to sleep 3) we use the workout facility one time. Upon walking in there, it was 83° with sun blaring through the windows. The thermostat was locked and there was no way to cool the room. It was almost intolerable. We called the front desk immediately and they said they would see if they could do something about it. We worked out for 40 minutes and no one ever did anything about it.

I will continue to stay at AC Hotel Pasadena when I’m in town visiting family. The rooms are spotless, the beds and pillows are comfortable and the staff are some of the most friendly folks. I highly recommend this hotel. You won’t be disappointed.

What an outstanding three day stay at the AC hotel everyone from Marco, the hotels housekeeping manager to Anthony at the front desk to Vanessa at the breakfast table. Employees are top notch. It’s incredible because the hotel is relatively new. Rooms are clean and modern.

I was very excited about this new hotel, however it was a bit off. It’s brand new and yet it’s lacked some thoughtfulness. The staff was lively! The rooms air conditioning rattled and the fridge and assembled closet/shelf unit rattled all night. I know this is a silly complaint to have, however if you need silence to sleep it might distract you.

We were given a room on the second floor apparently above the bar and dining area. And the music was loud enough to be heard in the early morning hours and late the 2nd night. Since we only stayed 2 nights we did not ask for a room change

My daughter and I stayed for two nights to attend a concert at the Rose Bowl Stadium. It was an excellent location to walk 20 minutes to the Parsons garage to connect with the free shuttle to the stadium. However, we had to change rooms due to a broken toilet, only to discover that the toilet was broken in the next room too but we managed with this particular challenge. The bathroom doors are made of glass and are barn door style which provides little privacy. This was an an issue for my daughter. The bed mattress was somewhat older in our second room which did not bode too well for my spinal arthritis. However, the staff were friendly enough when approached. We loved sitting in the lobby lounge and eating from their smaller menu which was delicious, or taking the food to our room. It made our schedule easier having this convenience. Breakfast is not worth the money but we had a fridge in our room so we brought in some of our own food and were able to get free tea/coffee from the lounge in the morning.

This property is beautifully designed. We loved the lobby bar that opens up to downtown Pasadena. Staff throughout were super helpful and nice. Market, water refill & great breakfast set up are all really practical. Our room was small but had everything you could need & was spotlessly clean. Comfy bed! Didn’t get a chance to check out the rooftop but we were staying on the 6th floor and it always looked buzzing - will def go back. Will only be staying at this hotel when visiting Pasadena from now on.

Hotel itself is generally fine but services can be a little lacking. The front desk informed me that self parking has no in-and-out privilege and only valet parking would have such privilege. This turned out to be completely untrue based on the parking attendant. During the stay, it was unclear whether the breakfast was included and upon requesting for a coffee, I was promptly handed a bill along with the coffee without having ever been informed that there would be a charge. Finally, at checkout, I only realized that I was charged for valet every day when I asked if there are charges. The front desk was just going to charge me and let me walk out the door. It is also the case that I never ever used valet parking so these were false charges that the front desk had to verify with valet to help clear the final charges. These made for a very unpleasant experience.

I wrote a lengthy email to the manager on the day that I checked out of the hotel. I have heard back from no one. My main issues are 1) lack of housekeeping leading people to dump their garbage in community garbage cans near the elevators, causing wretched smell for the first several days. 2) pot smoke was being pumped into our room through the ventilation system at all hours of the night. One night it was so bad that we woke up with raw throats and burning eyes. I don’t want any kind of smoke being pumped into my room when I’m trying to sleep 3) we use the workout facility one time. Upon walking in there, it was 83° with sun blaring through the windows. The thermostat was locked and there was no way to cool the room. It was almost intolerable. We called the front desk immediately and they said they would see if they could do something about it. We worked out for 40 minutes and no one ever did anything about it.

They were kind and gracious, but it was a 10-15 minute wait, which I'm not used to in properties of this caliber. I did not check out because the wait was too long and I had to get to work. I travel weekly, so this experience was a disappointment and I felt like the front desk was understaffed with only two people working. Additionally, the room next to me had the TV blaring the welcome screen music for two days. I called the front desk many times to ask them to turn it down, but it was never resolved. I was told once that it was not after 10:00 PM so there was nothing they could do. Another time they said they would check the room. Two calls went unanswered because they never picked up, and one time they hung up on me. I went to bed at 11PM and the TV next door was blaring, then woke up at 2AM to the same music, and when my alarm went off at 5AM it was still blaring. This is so unacceptable. There were clearly no guests in the room, but in order to sleep, I was forced to put my white noise on at full volume to try to drown it out. What an outstanding three day stay at the AC hotel everyone from Marco, the hotels housekeeping manager to Anthony at the front desk to Vanessa at the breakfast table. Employees are top notch. It’s incredible because the hotel is relatively new. Rooms are clean and modern.

Love the workout room in this hotel, it has a good assortment of weights and cardio machines to help you get your work-out in while you are traveling. The hotel is fairly new so the interior and exterior look great. Also, I like the way the lounge area is set-up ...there is a fairly spacious area near the loop where you can enjoy a light meal and/or work on your computer. The bar offers a decent assortment of wine, etc and seating the extends to the outside which is also nice in the evening. Overall, the hotel feels bright and welcoming, particularly the first floor.

A very modern and new hotel in a very convenient location. Many cafes and eating options are in the walkable vicinity. Target is also a 5 minute walk on the same street. It feels very safe and clean outside- my eye and I had morning walks in the area before we started our days. I like how each room includes a sofa and a c table so you don't need to sit on the bed to watch TV. All the staff are extra courteous and professional, and they go out of the way to help you. The breakfast with the unlimited continental breakfast bar is a little bit underwhelming for the price. The major issue is that when we checked in the system was down and we had to wait, the check in person said they would get us, but I had to go to the desk to find out the system was back up. The other thing, is that breakfast cost $30 each. We saw thw buffet, not worth even close to $30,,,, we elected to eat elsewhere.

This hotel is so upscale and trendy! I absolutely love their rooftop bar and the bar on the street level as well. I’ll definitely be returning soon and highly recommend this hotel to stay for a weekend getaway!

Oh what great potential yet poor decisions in design choices, and poor maintenance which made what should’ve been an almost luxurious hotel stay not even a solid two star stay. The rooms were not well thought out from the mattress choice to the glass door on the bathroom to the poor maintenance of the bathroom (sink pulling away from wall won’t drain normally) and confusing configuration of light switches and plugs, making it hard to charge things or know what light you’re turning on or off. Not good mattresses at all, if u stay on 5th floor you may get to hear tables and chairs being rearranged at all hours of the morning and evening from the rooftop restaurant. Staff was nice for the couple that I interacted with except for the valet. They were very rude and tried to prevent my sister from loading her baby into the car seat in the front of the hotel, which is where we normally would load and unload luggage and a baby. I have never stayed at a hotel that prevented me from loading or unloading my car in the porte-cochere, especially with a baby! This was one of three hotels on a road trip. It was the most expensive and fanciest hotel, and it was easily at the bottom of our list. Definitely expected much much better from a Marriott property! Sadly aside from the location and lovely lobby and lobby bar I cannot recommend to stay here.
