Made the reservation 2 mo prior and was placed in an adjoining room. Could hear conversations and tv clearly. Very loud. Asked to be moved and this was granted. No elevator to second floor, no cream or whole milk at breakfast and limited selection. Expected more from a Hilton property.

Overall great value for an overnight stay. Some updates have been done, but still needs some work. Was disappointed that pool was closed and not in operation since 2019. They need to put this on their website.Beds were very uncomfortable.but clean.

I booked using Expedia and did not find out the pet fee was 75.00 until check in. Was unable to get my room money back because of the third party booking so had no choice but to pay it. I will never darken a Hilton Hotel’s doorstep again and I have been a rewards member for years. Expedia’s “pay only what you see price” is also misleading. Also the clerk on the front desk Jeannie was not what I would have expected and was way less then helpful, one might even say snippy

It seemed there was a big push to have lodgers subscribe to the Hilton points plan. It took us nearly 20 minutes to access the Wifi because we did not want to subscribe to the Hilton Club. When we made the reservation, it indicated wifi was available which was important to us. Once we jumped through the hoops, called the front desk, etc. we finally accessed the wifi.

Bare bones in the room. No microwave, or coffee in room. Very basic room. The toilet ran all night and the door was extremely difficult to open. Arrived late and too tired to try and request another room. Chose this place because of the price. But super disappointed when we were told about a nonrefundable $75.00 fee for our dog. Outrageous!! Especially because the state of the facility isn’t in the best condition. Won’t stay in another Hilton hotel again. Informed the front office staff when checking out. One thing I did like was the cleanliness of the room and the breakfast was good.

No one told us the place was under major refurbishment. Furniture beds tables all stacked outside. Not a nice look when you are on vacation. Breakfast cereals and a muffin was the limit. Not impressed.

Property is currently undergoing a remodel, but some things on the recently remodeled thing could stand to be updated as well (for instance, have lamps with power outlets so that people can plug things in on the bed stands easily, which is pretty standard these days). Bathroom had some hard water stains in the toilet that could be removed with some determined cleaning. Breakfast was overly sparse. Could at least have had waffles or biscuits and gravy.

Rating on Hotels.com was not even close to the 8.2 out of over 1,000 reviews. The hotel is very old. Hotel smells musty as soon as you leave the lobby. Upon entering your room all you can smell is whatever product they use to try to cover up the smell. Carpet in hall and rooms is very dirty. Furniture was old and in disrepair. The stool had faux leather that had a hole in it that was covered by a piece of tape. The tub had an antislip mat in the bottom that was peeling up. Under the mat was what appeared to be wet paper that was floating in the water. Towels smelled like the room. Everything is very outdated and needs replaced. Breakfast was nutrigrain bars, kid size yogurt, coffee and juice. We stayed in a great town Blowing Rock which has a lot of nearby attractions for only $5 more a night. The pool was empty and the dirt around it was all dug up. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The only 2 negatives were the bathroom fan was defining and the room AC had no setting to keep the fan on and just have the compressor turning on and off, so room would be very quiet and then get loud. I would stay here again.

Big clean room. Quiet hotel. Comfy bed. Nice shower, plenty of hot water. Missing: how about a drinking cup for the bathroom? I had to go downstairs to the breakfast area to get a coffee cup. Also missing: no microwave (Super 8 had them.)

Do not trust the images of this location. The lobby is nice and the staff are helpful, but the rooms themselves are just not as expected if viewing online images. Carpets were wet around tub causing the room to smell, and the A/C units were not functioning when we arrived so the room was muggy and humid. The A/C did not work when turned on so the room could not be cooled down. We requested a refund and went to another hotel. Again, the staff were helpful and understanding during the process, but the facility was not worth the price.

Stayed here while visiting family in the area. The stay and actual facilities were alright, but there were 2 major problems. 1st- 2nd- the first morning that i stayed there we had absolutely no hot water. there was no reason the staff could find and it was back by the night.

Tequan, at the front desk, was great and I am sure the rest of the staff is great as well but the owner is a thief. So be very careful if you book a room in advance, and are going to arrive late as their system may cancel your reservation and you lose your money even if youve called to let them know that you DO want the room but you WILL be arriving late. I say, dont book in advance, book right before you go in and if theyre full & you have to stay somewhere else so be it at least you wont lose $85 for nothing. What a nightmare.

Rundown, old, unfriendly check-in. They don’t seem to run the a/c in the lobby or hallways during the day so it was very hot. I asked gurl at front desk they had laundry and she said “yes”, after a long pause I then asked “where” and all she said was “second floor” (must not be paid by the word). I went up there and the dryer was out of order. I went back down and I asked about it she said “yeah it’s broken, they’re coming out sometime to fix it but I don’t know when.” (Seems like something she could have mentioned when I asked about laundry.) I then asked if she knew of any laundromats nearby and all she said was “no”. So helpful and courteous. Room was pretty standard but sheets were stained and absolutely no usb plugs for charging. Updates needed. Pool has no water and breakfast was a joke (just bars and coffee, nothing fresh nor hot). No reason they should be charging anywhere near this much a night.

This is an older hotel chain now renovated by Hilton, and you can tell... but it's not a bad thing. The beds/linens were Hilton-level. The facility was adequate and ideally located for my needs. There was only one roll of TP (that ran out at 2am...that was the only real downside. The staff there was SUPER helpful when we left an item behind when we checked out... made extra effort to ship to me.

Please, if you book a family with young kids, don’t put them on a floor above anyone, put them on the ground floor. Late night/early morning rampaging kids running across the floor above us, then poor customer service when we alerted you to it.

This was an excellent experience for my wife and me. We are not "tenny-boppers" and have many years of life experience. Clean, safe, affordable, friendly and professional staff is very important to us. You scored excellent.

The bathroom door didn't close. We told the front desk clerk and the owner, and they said they would check on it, but they never did. Very disappointed that there wasn't a microwave in the room and a "continental breakfast" was advertised, however all they had was bagels and yogurt. The front desk personnel were not very friendly or accomadating. Overall the only good thing I can say about our stay is that the hotel & room were very clean.

Older hotel but well-maintained. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Some of the furniture was worn but no problem at all. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Round-the-clock coffee was available in the lobby, which was nice, but the only breakfast offered was yogurt cups, granola bars and small packaged coffee cakes.

The stay was great. The room was fantastic. The included breakfast was a super negative. I don't care if there's a free breakfast but when it's advertised as included and I get up early only to find out it's only energy bars and instant oatmeal I'm really PO'd. Better to not say breakfast is included.
