Staff was very nice and the hotel was clean. Several areas being renovated around the hotel, their parking garage being one, so there’s a lot of construction around. I came in late and it was creepy walking from the temporary lot to the hotel. But overall, a nice stay, and the hotel is walking distance to many activities.

Older Hotel. Needs updating. The information listed on Expedia is incorrect. There has been no restaurant or bar since the beginning Covid. Parking is not onsite but nearby in a public parking area. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Nice older hotel. Complimentary breakfast was outstanding. Parking was not so convenient as the parking garage is being demolished and a new one is being built. Had to park two blocks away for one evening.

Staff couldn’t find my reservation at check in. Parking is a good walk from the hotel and it’s slightly dated. Room was clean, breakfast was better than most places and the location was great as you could walk to many locations.

Breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold options. Very dated facility. No ice maker on our floor. Had a nice treat bag of water and snacks waiting for us. Parking not convenient as it is a parking garage with a little walk. Very convenient to distilleries. Bed and linens were comfortable.

Saddest hotel I have been to in awhile. The poor employees were working really hard and had big smiles. But they had very little to work with. There is a lovely parking lot. The staff was very kind. But this hotel had lots of damage and no pool and a non functioning workout room and no restaurant / bar and a sad breakfast. But the workers did try to make it nice I thought.

Staff were extremely friendly. They were the only positive thing about this place. The lobby, elevators and room were filthy. There was mold on the walls, window and in the bathroom. The bedding wasn’t clean. Staff told me that management wouldn’t allow them to provide me with clean bedding. The carpet was covered in stains. There was a two inch gap under the room door with light shining in from the hallway. I just slept in my car because they wouldn’t issue a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE

The shower curtain in the shower/tub was disgusting! There was a ton of mildew on the shower head. The vent in the bathroom was filthy also. I felt the need to take pictures and everything. Plus the coffee maker and cups were in the bathroom! That’s just gross. The lamps were pretty dusty also. Plus construction started outside my window at 7:10am!

Hotel was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was really delicious and well stocked. Only problem I had was my room key kept getting deactived (3 times) not sure if it was me or another problem. Front desk was very helpful in fixing the problem.

I stayed in room 229 and it wasn't very nice. It had a broke lock on he door, stained up carpets, and some stains on the wall. I didn't ask the property to switch rooms or anything though, I just checked out. I like the location of the hotel itself but not the hotel in general. The continental breakfast wasn't very good. I also didn't like the transit stop at the back of the hotel bringing random people in there. It's convenient for those who don't have transportation but we were all there on our own.

The hotel was so nice on the outside that we had high hopes. But the room smelled like urine so bad we could barely breathe, the beds were damp as well. The whole room felt dingy. We got there in the middle of the night after driving 12 hrs that we decided we would just deal with it but it was a struggle. There was a pool but we didn’t see it. There was a water feature in the lobby that was great! The parking was quite the walk to the hotel if you have a lot of stuff. Breakfast was just okay. The one staff member we came in contact with when we checked in was very nice!

This was probably a great hotel 10 years ago. The bar was closed with all fixtures removed. There was a fountain in the lobby that was dry. The room carpet was very dated. There was a 24" to 32" TV in the room. The vent in the bathroom was caked with dust and dirt.

The Hotel needs renovations. It is OLD.... The carpet in the room was stained and worn. The bed was okay but ancient. The singular cockroach was not a pleasant surprise. There was no fridge in the room. The breakfast was decent but nothing special. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful.

This is my third time staying at the Capital Plaza and don't plan on staying anywhere else when visiting the area (Bourbon Trail). The front desk staff was excellent, very friendly and informative. We felt very welcomed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were on a long road trip and this was our 7th place we stayed and it, by far, had the most comfortable bed! I didn't want to get out. We were beyond satisfied. The breakfast was good, the attendant and chef were very friendly. We love Capital Plaza and will be staying there again in the future!

Worst hotel bed EVER! We were told the hotel was on limited staff and to leave towels outside door for replacement. They took ours and left us nothing. Had to call for replacements. Breakfast staff were very friendly along with front desk. Hotel is in need of total makeover.

Rooms are clean, breakfast is great. 5 minute walk to downtown nightlife. My only complaint is that our beds felt worn out. It’s time to replace those mattresses. I’d stay again though.

Check in was swift and they were kind to accommodate a last minute dog! The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Road noise is noticeable during peak traffic times. The parking is not adjacent to the hotel . You park in a garage and take an elevator down , walk a short way, cross a non busy street and public transportation area, then into the hotel and elevator to your room . All of it is covered . I recently had knee replacement surgery and the walking was a bit of an issue . You can park right in from to load and unload . Other than breakfast, there is no food in the hotel . Shower has HOT water which is nice . One bedside lamp didn’t work. Upon check in towels were still hanging behind the bathroom door from previous guests. There isn’t daily housekeeping just fyi WiFi is very fast . Fridge in room . No microwave . Nice room for the price

This is an older property in desperate need of a refresh or upgrade. The restaurant and lounge were closed. Parking was in a garage behind the building. The carpeting and furniture in the room had stains on them. The bed was not very comfortable. The refrigerator was very noisy. The room had a door to connect with the adjacent room. There were guests in that room who were up until 2:30 am talking loudly and playing music that could be easily heard because the walls were so thin or not sound-proofed. The breakfast was mediocre. I couldn’t cut my pancake with a knife. We were planning on staying 2 nights, but checked out after 1 night. Not worth the price. I would avoid this place.

Service from time of arrival to departure was superb. Im recovering from hip surgery and the person o night duty allowed us to park there the entire time of our stay. I am on a walker and the trek from the garage would have been excruciating. i loved the warerfall--beautiful and soothing. The bed may have been the most comfortable we have ever had. fallwhich ran continuously and wasnsoothing and beautiful.

A beautiful sunrise from the 7th floor facing West. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast. The biscuits and gravy amazing. Sausage, potatoes and eggs were so good. 10/10 would stay here again!

The checkin for our block of rooms was efficient and accurate. Terry was most helpful and should be recognize for her excellent customer service. Very good breakfast and conveniently located for our Derby and local tours outings! We had a few issues with the A/C not cooling properly and TVs working sporadically. Maintenance did address. Very friendly staff.

Capital Plaza was comfortable for our one night stay and the staff interactions were pleasant. Hotel is a short walk from the downtown Frankfort area which was a plus. Overall condition of the property was good, but it looks like it's time for a refresh.

Great location to visit Buffalo Trace and walk to local bars. Loved the vast grassy lawn for our pups. Incredibly friendly staff. Convenient and free parking.

Overall the hotel is fine. It just desperately needs some updating. The room itself was relatively clean. Carpet seemed like it could benefit from a cleaning... The bed was quite comfortable, however the pillows were laughably small. We tried to access the workout facilities at one point during out stay, however the door would not open after inserting our room key. Location is fantastic if you are heading to Buffalo Trace (about 2 minutes down the road) and the many other distilleries in the area. Parking is ample and also very convenient. Nothing about the property was so egregious that we felt the need to complain to staff at all. It was an enjoyable stay, would just maybe look for a newer or more updated hotel in the future.

The hotel itself is a little older, but has everything you could need. The brand new covered parking lot is great. The location is the best feature- walkable to the old downtown Frankfort with restaurants, coffee shop, bars, and stores. A really quiet, enjoyable place to stay

Restaurant was closed but they still put on a great breakfast. Major construction was being done so it was noisy during the day. Couple of great dining choices within walking distance. Would probably be a higher rating once the remodeling is complete.

Was looking forward to relaxing at the bar after a 3 hour drive. But the bar has been shut down as well as the restaurant. This needs to be updated on Hotels.com. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Older Hotel. Needs updating. The information listed on Expedia is incorrect. There has been no restaurant or bar since the beginning Covid. Parking is not onsite but nearby in a public parking area. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Very friendly welcoming from the front desk. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is great - walk to restaurants and a short drive to Buffalo Trace. A beautiful sunrise from the 7th floor facing West. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast. The biscuits and gravy amazing. Sausage, potatoes and eggs were so good. 10/10 would stay here again!

Have stayed here several times past few years due to son and family lives in Versailles. Always loved the breakfast, but Today there was no eggs, sausages or bacon. Family came from Tennessee and we were very disappointed. Not sure to book Another time if that’s how it will be then

Property under renovations, so it is what it was. Room clean but could use some further work such as bath wall switch recessed inward instead of on the outside of wall. Property fee of $15 charged was dumb. Not sure if the property fee is a disguised resort fee. Property is in disarray so I didn’t understand the charge. Staff were great. Location in Frankfort was convenient to restaurants.

The hotel was under major renovation which made getting around the hotel inconvenient but manageable. Due to renovation there were not as many amenities as usual The staff was super helpful and the parking was easy to access. During our stay unfortunately something happened with a pipe somewhere and sewage water came up the hallway on the second floor and the smell was atrocious. The hotel staff took action to remedy this fairly quickly when it was reported. We will definitely want to stay at the hotel again, when they renovations are done.
