Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fleming Island by IHG

The stay was good. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the cleaning staff was great also. I plan on staying here next til I’m in town. The only annoying thing was the elevator made a lot of noise. Out room was right next to the elevator.

Breakfast was great and check in along with free parking was great!

This hotel is awesome except the elevator was out. I had requested a room on the 2nd floor but got a 3rd floor room.

A great convenient place to stay for us. Clean and great staff. Only thing was a problem with elevator...but for it wasn't an issue...good exercise to take the steps.

The staff were friendly, breakfasts were varied and substantial, gym wasnt available 1st day but they fixed it byvthe second day of our stay.

Clean room & bathroom. Gym area was sufficient but lacking cleaning supplies. However the staff when informed found a spray bottle for cleaning. Laundry services available, but expensive, but the area was clean as were the hall ways and stairs. The elevator was broken down, and they were waiting on a part to put it back in a mode where it could be used independently of a front desk clerk. They told us to call them and they would come get us, but we just opted to use the stairs rather than wait for them to come get us. Nice breakfast options, including egg white omelets. Over all very good, quiet.

Great place except pool is just a hole in ground in parking lot to side of hotel surrounded by 8 good ugly cream colored metal fence you can’t see through.

Over all great property but they need to do something about the elevator door getting on from the second floor it is all beat up like someone tried to break into it and inside the elevator also needs repair around the bottom. But other than that it is a nice place to stay

I have stayed here a few time because it is the only hotel in Fleming island however the maintenance of the building (elevator was out for three days (still out) and the bathrooms are getting dirtier. With cracked grout everywhere, loose shower fittings and just a feel of grunge everywhere.i guess this is what happens when there is no competition.

Great location for our needs . . . friendly and outgoing staff. Only one elevator though thus some extended waits. A facility of this size should have at least two elevators or at least a separate service elevator for staff use. That's the only criticism . . . we'll look forward to staying there again in the future.

Came in for a one night stay and my first room was awful. The AC was leaking onto almost half the rooms carpet and it smelt of horrible mildew in that room. I called front desk and she said “we’re full but I can send you to a new location” I said ok she said she would call me back in a minute and let me know.. it was 20 minutes stuck in the room that was making us nauseous. She said they found a room for us in the same hotel. Went down got keys, all set. Open the door to the new room and it is overly fragranced and it’s a single bed room and no bath tub and I had paid extra for two bed and a tub and she offered no compensation. There was also a horrible gross large stain on the comforter. Finally after sitting in the lobby again waiting cause I asked to be moved to another location and she tells me she just moved me to a new room and someone else will just have to suffer with the one bed.. like it was my fault and I was inconveniencing her. Finally we’re in our new room and it’s perfect. Except for when the front desk woman used a key and opened our door. It closed and she went away.

I stayed at this Holiday Inn over the weekend and was very disappointed with the condition of the room. The bedsheets were stained and looked unwashed, and the shower curtain was visibly dirty with both stains and buildup. On top of that, the room had a strong mildew smell upon arrival. I had to clean the room myself and spray Lysol, and only then did it become somewhat bearable after the air kicked in. I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and comfort. This experience was far from what I’ve come to expect from the Holiday Inn brand.

The personnel were all friendly and professional. The room was clean. The beds comfortable.

Very clean and convenient

The hotel could really using some updating. First this we saw when we got to our room was a roach on the wall. The breakfast was subpar. I think they reheat a lot of the food over and over each day. Or at least it tasted that way.

The first room we were assigned had a leaky AC that caused the carpet to be soaked. I didn't realize it until late the first night when i took my shoes off. They immediately offered us another room. Stay was disrupted a bit by that, but the staff were amazing and the rooms were excellent, other than the leaking AC.

There was a very small bug in the bed. We were concerned it was a bedbug. I have never seen one before, but when googling it, it looked similar. Called downstairs they offered us another room, we accepted, and then after looking in the computer said they were booked. I asked if someone could come up and at least look at the bug to make sure it wasn’t a bedbug and they said there was no housekeeping on staff and they would not be there until the morning. I immediately went down and turned in my keys and said I was checking out. The next day I called and asked for the manager to get a refund. They advised me housekeeping, checked the room that morning and there was no bedbugs. I think it’s great that there were no bed bugs however, they’re definitely was a bug that resembled one and I wasn’t taking any chances. I called multiple times and asked for a manager, left multiple messages and never even got a return call. A hotel should not have bugs and a simple return call and apology is the least they could’ve done.

Absolutely the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed! Breakfast was enjoyable every morning. Not noisy at all at night!

Friendly staff and clean property. Our advertized suite was really just a large room with a small 4 foot tall divider and sofa bed. Should have in the pictures so people can determine if the extra "suite" charge is worth it. Otherwise a very pleasant safe stay.

This hotel appears to be relatively new. The room was modern and clean. It would be nice to have more water pressure in the shower. Breakfast had many options so anyone should be able to find something to start the day.

I stayed here to attend a friend's birthday party and the venue was within walking distance. Check-in was fast/easy; the room was clean. The air conditioner ran almost non-stop and was loud - the filter on the air conditioner needs to be replaced. Other than the air conditioner - my stay was well.

Excellent room, well-designed with lots of electrical outlets and USB ports, indirect lighting, big flatscreen tv, fast internet with strong signal. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast with many options. Clean pool in the shade in late afternoon.

Wonderful front desk staff and loved the cookies. The room was very dark and dated. The hallways smelled mildewy.

The staff here went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Took care of everything. The front desk manager had a gift for my 4 year old daughter when checking out. Definitely recommend and will stay there again when traveling in that area!

My flight was running late for check in times and then it got delayed. They went above and beyond to help. Excellent hospitality and everything was done so fast and efficiently. Very pleased!! I will definitely be staying there again when I'm back in town

Staff was extremely helpful the entire stay

The was clean, however, the water temp for the tub was horrible. The hot water did not last for the first shower. After trying to shower the next morning, it was the same. The sink water temp was great. There was not enough body wash for a single shower and they did not refilling after I requested to the front desk.

I am reaching out for help with this horrifying experience Thats happening right now. I do not recommend this location. One worker here Hailey, behind the counter who didn’t want to be bothered to help. Upon arriving at 12pm with a child who was covered in sickness after car sickness from a long ride she told me sorry I can’t let you in a room until 1pm that’s if your room is even ready. After confirming the room was ready and unoccupied and clean she said sorry still nothing she could do then went outside to FaceTime with a boyfriend or someone she’s upset with, smoke cigarettes and fix her false eyelashes. Meanwhile I’m sitting in the lobby with my kids trying to clean her up and comfort her and when she came back in I asked is there anything you can do. She rolled her eyes fixed her eyelashes and said, nope bathroom is over there. I’m appalled. I’m sitting here with my kids for almost an hour all our belongings and sick child in the lobby. Now she called the manager and made me talk to her on speaker telling her I am yelling and I am not. My child was crying and I told her there was nothing I could do and that I was on the phone with customer service. She has now refused to check us in at all. Ended up waiting another two hours in the lobby where they woman rudely yelled things and laughed at us while my children and I had to sit there and listen to it. I waited almost 2 after she called the manager to come in for her to arrive then check me in.

All in all we had a very pleasant stay, just a few issues that can easily be resolved. I was initially put off by the fact that after arriving to the hotel at 1:30pm, I was made to wait until 3:00pm to check in to my room due to a new IHG policy. I think you can come up with some other type of perk for gold and platinum members other than making people wait in the lobby. Consideration should be given to those of us who have been traveling all day and would like to get settled. Also, Sunday morning breakfast was a disaster!….. only one staff member so we had to wait while she cooked/ heated up individual items for the breakfast room. I understand that Sunday is probably your busiest day so perhaps have two staff members so breakfast can run more smoothly. The hotel is always clean, beds are comfy and staff is always friendly. My go to for any travel but just a little feedback on what to improve 😊

The employees were exceptionally kind and friendly. Several of them welcomed me and helped me I was alone so it meant a lot to feel safe. The room was clean. Bed very comfortable and pillows were also. Breakfast was very good just about anything you would want.

We just stayed for one night, but the location was so convenient.

It was a very nice hotel. It’s close to a Walmart. It’s in a good neighborhood. Lots of places to eat in walking distance.

The hotel is close to shopping, restaurants, movie theater, and more.

Excellent location with nearby tennis courts, Publix, restaurants, and various amenities. The hotel is well-managed and clean.

It's a good place to get some sleep. Not much around as you kinda have to drive everywhere to get anywhere but convenient to crash for the night to get some sleep. There is an IHop nearby.

Close to retail and restaurants, the staff were always smiling and greeting guests, the property was nice, well maintained, quiet and safe

We have stayed several times at this property, it was clean and quite overall. However just wish there was fresh fruits on breakfast bar.

The staff is always helpful and courteous. Breakfast was delicious.
