Room was OK, sink had a dirty streak running down that washed off with water from the sink, coffee cup laying on the floor behind chair, not a big deal, but should have been picked up by housekeeping. Restaurant girl was awesome, front desk was great, valet wonderful, bartender in the evening was struggling to keep up. Pool area dirty, had a lot of rain the previous night, didn't look like anyone had been out to clean up debris, pool had lots of debris and bugs in it and this was at 11am.. Easy walk back from the Kia Center.

Check in was disorganized and the receptionist was too busy answering his phone. The lobby was the cleanest part. Pics online are very deceiving. Elevator was scary. Room was damp and full of mold. The carpets are saturated, bedding damp, mattress had metal pieces sticking up in my back all night. At 1am security started banging on my door yelling security open up. I was alone and sleeping so I called the front desk to find out the problem. The receptionist laughed and said oh my 9’s look like 4’s. She had a delivery for a different room. Scared me and then I couldn’t fall asleep. Parking is a scam. It was $32 for self park or $35 for valet. When my bill came it was $36/night due to tax/fees. It’s dark and the area is unsafe. I was approached by 2 different people that were hanging out in the garage asking for cigarettes, money and drugs. Security did nothing. STAY AWAY. Very disappointed that a Double Tree Hilton property would operate this way. The furniture looks like it was nawed on by critters. I moved hotels. Being that I was in town for a family medical emergency this hotel was not a complication I needed.

Overall had a good stay. I liked the gym and pool area. Staff were very courteous and helpful. However, had to ask for a new room because first one was a bit moldy and second one, the sink in bathroom was clogged.

This review is coming from a past Hotel Manager and Supervisor. We booked 6 rooms, my request was a high floor next to or as close to other bookings in our party. One person called the hotel directly with the request to be nearby each other and was told it was done. Got there and we were spread out all over the hotel all on different floors. The rooms including mine had mold on the bathroom tile grout and in the room next to the AC vent. My room had a bug in the bathroom possibly a roach which I called down about and was told someone would come, no one did. Another room had a bug possibly a tick on the pillow. I called down to ask about laundry service and was rudely told they don’t do laundry. It’s listed as a hotel amenity. Calling to make an order at the restaurant was stressful because it goes to the front desk first who just puts you on hold for long periods of time before you can get transferred. The restaurant should have its own extension to call. One member was offered an upgrade and one night refund due to the issues, when at the front desk they did not have the room or knew about the conversation. It was just not what I was expecting for an Upscale hotel as they have described. Would like to mention the restaurant staff were very pleasant and amazing. You also have to arrange the shuttle in advance and it still may not be available. Incidental hold was $300 and call early for the restaurant because of the front desk hold times.

Do not book here! They have Bed bugs & when I say this hotel is OUTDATED! It’s outdated! Also imagine they don’t want to refund you & said well you can just switch rooms! Bed bugs don’t just stay in ONE room. Your matteresses are old & bumpy! Change them! Also they don’t clean their carpet so be warned not to walk on their floors barefoot! Also they have a pet friendly policy & I was wondering why I smelled pee! I’m like I don’t have animals! Also the house keeping they hate their jobs, I have to confront one lady & tell you to clean because you’re not gonna put that nasty non washed comforted on the bed. I put it on the floor for a reason! I also took pictures & videos because nowadays they try to get away with your money! FIX YOUR HOTEL OR CLOSE IT

The property needs a serious cleaning and update. The ceiling bathroom was moldy and brown, towels had stains and the hallways floor boards were ripped up and dirty. The phone in the room was falling apart and bottoms missing. I can do on but this experience was a shocker.

For a doubletree this property was not very clean. We didn’t see it at first and by the time we did they could not get us a different room, mild and mildew all over the a/c unit that didn’t look like it had been cleaned in who knows how long. The whole room had a musty and mildew smell as well.

The room needs renovation. The carpet is dirty. I was scared to let my feet touch the floor. The couch had all kind of dirt and stains on it. There was even an electrical outlet just hanging out the wall. However, the room was spacious and the bathroom was decent.

We had a corner room on the 19th floor and the view was spectacular, especially at night with all the lights. Not a super new building but it solid and sound and it was clean and staff was friendly and helpful.

Carpet in room 608 was dark and just not pleasant, felt very old and neglected. Both beds gave us the worst night of sleep possible. Finally slept after 3 am, top mattress felt broken and worn, rolled you to the outside of the bed.

Size of room was great but lighting was terrible. I had to use my phone flashlight to read the instructions on coffee maker. Light by bed didn’t work. The LED was wearing out so was blinking. Even if it had worked the room was still too dark. There was only tepid water coming from sink faucet. I left it running for 30 minutes to no avail. I had to use water from tub faucet to wash my face with warm water. One AC unit didn’t blow cold air but the other one did as long as it was kept at 60. Entrance to hotel wasn’t well marked. One positive thing was dinner. I had the chicken sandwich and fries. Both excellent and the bartender was very nice.

When we checked in, we asked for recommendations on places to eat. We were instructed to review Grubhub. Television reception was nonexistent. When we called, we were informed that it was due to the satellite. Later, a technician came and found cables were loose and needed replacement. We were later told that it would not be done, and we had to live with it. Room cooling and heating did not work. Room was facing major freeway and we heard the traffic all night. $42.00 for a simple breakfast of beverages and eggs. $5.00 for a small beverage. $35/day for parking. Rude front desk and night manager. Although this hotel is beautiful, there needs to be an overhaul of the staff that makes the customer feel at home.

While the hotel has a very convenient location in downtown Orlando, it is extremely outdated, the parking garage is awful/overpriced, and the rooms need a serious upgrade. We have stayed at this hotel 3 times and each time the room has not been very clean and the air conditioning has been terrible. I’m not sure what year they built this hotel but the AC system is ridiculous. Half of the room is like a deep freezer and the other half is like a sauna. My husband and I have been miserable each time we’ve stayed. I thought some of the issues were just a fluke but after coming back for a third time this month it has been confirmed for me that we will not be returning to this property. Clean the rooms better (I shouldn’t find someone else’s hair in the bed the first day I check in???) and get better air conditioning!! It is blazing hot in this hotel and I feel like I need to shower twice just from sitting on the Sahara side of the room. Absolutely unacceptable. Just because we are paying less doesn’t mean we should have a hot box room in the literal middle of Florida in the middle of the summer. We are too close to the equator for this! Also, on at least two occasions I’ve seen mold growing in the decorative picture frames in the bathrooms. Fix the ventilation and air!!!

The pictures are WAY better than reality, wouldnt recommend the hotel, and will not come back. The worst part is the highway on the side, you wont be able to sleep with the noise. Luckily just one night here.

My stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown was excellent! The staff was warm and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was very convenient. I especially appreciated Donna at the front desk she was kind and helpful from the moment I first called to confirm my reservation through my entire stay. The valet team was extremely friendly, and Chuck was awesome he truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. And of course, I loved the signature cookies! I also want to say a special thank you to Sandra as I was leaving with all of my bags, she was ready to assist in any way she could and even helped me carry everything out to my car. That meant a lot. I’d definitely stay again and highly recommend this location to others.

I actually enjoyed the hotel until I returned home & checked my bank statement. I was charged for valet when I’ve never parked in valet or the garage. I called the hotel & the receptionist was very rude stating valet wouldn’t add a charge if they didn’t have my car key & room #. I explained valet never had my car key or room #! They couldn’t even say what type of car I drove!

Rose at the front desk made my day. My keys to my room wouldn’t work, she stepped right into action and took care of me, she was also very informative about all the amenities in the community. I asked her about my status and she took time to walk through a few things with me when I came back from dinner…she was the best… with an employee like her I’ll definitely return

Stayed here the weekend after the 4th of July and honestly, I wouldn’t go back. The staff was super nice, and the room was okay — except for the carpet, which was really dirty. A few things really bothered me: 1. They charge a $50 deposit at check-in that was never mentioned anywhere before arriving. After a long drive, you basically have to pay it or leave. 2. I ordered a burger from the room menu, but was told they only had a “different” version — not on the menu and more expensive, which I only found out when I saw the bill. 3. Worst part: they double-charged my card at check-out, leaving me three hours from home with no money for gas. I was suprised to get a room at this DoubleTree in Downtown Orlando for such a reasonable price. I got in around midnight, and the lobby was pretty busy which surprised me a little. There was a nice looking restaurant with a bar just off the lobby that wasn't open. The room was very decent and clean and they put me in the 15th floor which was perfectly quiet which is what I needed. Staff at the desk was efficient and attentive. There was free parking on the street which was full by the time I got in. Parking garage attached to the hotel was ok. Overall very good experience. Extremely good value.

The room was clean, staff was friendly. I did not like the fact that I had to pay $32 to park, after paying $161 for the room for one night's stay. Also, there was no complimentary breakfast. The free cookies were a nice touch and we enjoyed them! The prices in the restaurant were way too much---$16 for oatmeal!

The restaurant was never open; neither was the marketplace the whole time we were there. The valet prices are crazy. Room wasn’t that clean. This hotel isn’t very busy. Valet Chuck was rude every time we encountered him.

It was not a bad room but it could use some improvement. The tile around the shower needs some work, and the shower could be bigger. There was no chair in our room besides the chair that went with the desk. The bed was comfortable and I loved that the tress blocked the sun from coming in the room. Customer Service was great, the restaurant was delicious and I enjoyed the margaritas, I had one every day I was there. I would recommend the hotel but be prepared to pay $32.00 for self parking and $35.00 for valet parking, the website for doubletree only gives you the price for valet parking, we got lucky and parked on the street in front on the hotel for free. I give the hotel a 8 overall.
