Older motel, clean in good shape. The owners are very nice and friendly. Currently the pool is unavailable

Positives: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good price. AAA approved. King bed. Changed our room when told that our original bathroom hadn't been cleaned. (Hair in shower, old soap and shampoo left in shower and sink, sand in tub). Negatives: New room was adequate but antiquated. Large hole in bathroom door hadn't been repaired. One of the bed lamps was unplugged and the cord wasn't long enough to reach the outlet. We stayed there because it offered a pool, however it was closed for repairs.

Received confirmation for 2 separate rooms. Only 1 was noted upon a call to confirm. 2nd room as old and smokey. Swimming pool empty and dingy looking.

Do not stay here!!!! The 8+ rating on this property is a scam that Expedia needs to address. DO NOT trust Expedia ratings. Check out the reviews. It's a mistake I will not make again. Winnemucca NV is where people go to give up on life, and this motel is the epitome of that. Service everywhere we went (Siver Peak Restaurant to the local McDonalds) was abysmal. The motel itself was old (I mean 1970's old), dirty, and poorly maintained. The "pool" was filled with weeds (no water) and the ice machine would not fill even 1/4 of an ice bucket before giving up (much like the residents of this wretched town). Our room was not yet cleaned at 5:30 PM, so the maid/manager (who was doing her best) moved us to a "cleaner" room she was just finishing up. It was noteworthy that her maid cart had no dirty sheets in it. My wife found a spittoon (plastic sprite bottle) next to the wall that the maid missed (luckily it was capped). Then there was one bath towel for three people. Actually, that was not a problem as everyone decided to skip the shower and just get the hell out the next morning. My only hope is we didn't bring home any bedbugs or roaches. Sleep in your car if you must, but DO NOT spend your money on this dump.

Hair in bathtub, bed linens appeared to not have been changed for a while, stain (blood)? under the top part of bedspread, dirty carpet, dirty tub, broken bathroom door knob, lamp shades are all cracked, broken dresser drawer, pool area closed… Very dated property… Will not return…

Couldn't get bathroom faucet pulled for water. Ice machine didn't work.

I'm struggling to figure out why this hotel got more than eight stars. It should be in the six category. The toilet leaks, the shower is terrible, the beds are mediocre with not very nice blankets. Dated from the early '60s with very little upgrade. Also the pool is not functioning. In 80 to 90° weather that's a real disappointment.

Fridge had old food in it and was a dirty sticky mess from a spilled blue drink. The ice machine wouldn’t work, the bedspread had a big rip in it.

Excellent inexpensive place where you can park your car right outside your door.

Yeah, if if you’re looking for a brand spanking new building, then don’t go here that being said it was very clean and well-maintained. The staff was excellent and friendly. It was a great deal and convenient. Wish the pool was open but I guess it’s not season yet. Oh yeah, it was kind of cold.

Not at all as portrayed on the website and the room was filthy!!

First room had not been cleaned. Second room had been cleaned, but poorly, some trash in bathroom garbage, hair in sink, old sock under table, carpet not vacuumed well or not at all.

Carpet filthy, sheets dirty, bathroom dirty, shower/bath rusty. Needed update of everything including bed, pillows & curtains. No ice, no food options. Also initial room given was not cleaned (bed unmade & bath towels on floor)- different room was given.

For $150 a night, the room should of been in better shape. And for any price, the shower should not of had left over soap in it and pee shouldn't of been found under the toilet seat. The beds were clean, but the bathroom was forgotten. Stains on the carpet were very pronounced. This motel obviously caters to traveling workers and the like. For the cost per night I would of expected more cleanliness. Btw...the tv was a nightmare to get working. Just wasn't that memorable of an experience. It's difficult running a hotel. I would not stay here again unless I was somewhat desperate to rest my head.

The room was disgusting!! Hair all over in the shower. Dirt on the bathroom floor! Not jost a little but piles. False eyelasshes i. The sink. Questionable as to if the bedding was even clean.

The ratings on this motel were taken from 4-8 years ago. Pictures the same! Perhaps at one time there was more care given. The carpet was filthy as was the bathroom floor. There was a lot of debris, hair and lint with discarded packages behind the visable space to the mini fridge and the tv free standing cabinet. There was a line of dead skin cells, hair, lint and crumbs behind the beds headboard and night stand, that was disgusting. The drapery was shoddy and in poor repair but they did close and provided privacy. Toilet didn’t flush well, no tissues in the tissue box, towels were clean and plenty but definitely used a lot! Sheets were the same and the bed coverlet was quite dated. Bed was comfortable and new, no sign of bedbugs, but after seeing all the lax housekeeping I was genuinely concerned. The bar soap was useless, little chips that were not facial quality as they had pumice in them🙄. I brought my own soap and shampoo and I’m glad I did. I had no maid service, I don’t think I was made aware there would be none. The chair arms were sticky, really sticky but there were 2 chairs and a table. Lamp shades were in bad shape or disrepair. Had I not prepaid, I would have gone somewhere else PDQ. The air conditioning was adequate +. Walls were pretty thin, you could hear conversations through them. Did I mention carpet was filthy. I think that this room had not been throughly cleaned in some time. There were used bars of soap on the top of the shower door sliders.

Awfully dirty. Hair in one of our beds and some nasty liquid (hopefully but not definitely not bodily fluid) spill discoloration on my sheets. Neither of us slept inside the sheets on these beds. The bathroom was also dirty. Such a shame to see a nice hotel going downhill.

First of all, I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but the reviews I read said it was clean and comfortable. That’s all I really need. At first glance, the fresh white paint, made it appear clean. A closer look showed otherwise. The decor was outdated, which is not a problem for me. The pillowcases were badly stained, which made me worry about the cleanliness of them and the sheets. I slept on the bed, not in it, with a towel for a pillow. There were a couple little pills on the floor, which had not been vacuumed. The toilet has toilet paper in it and there was dried urine pooled at the base. When I turned on the shower water, black hair was floating around in the tub. I don’t like to bash places, just review them honestly. I rely on reviews when looking for a place to stay.

Bed sheets weren’t changed. There was hair everywhere in the bed on the floor. Bathrooms are gross.

Two rooms had dirty sheets covered in human hair. Staff was dismissive and angry.

Clearer instructions on how to work the heater in the room would have been nice. We couldn't get it to blow anything more than slightly warm. Should have gone back over to the office but it was late and we were tired.

The room was clean. Heater was barely keeping the room warm.

A quick stay. Room was clean, no bugs detected. TV was excellent. Bathroom towels were stained and smelled of smoke. Heater did not work.

First room assigned (6) Lacked heat; second room assigned (16) was occupied by sleeping guests; third room assigned had broken shower doors and was not resuppled with towels and toilet paper. A totally bad experience and I am not going back.

First off, the staff is very nice and helpful. However, the rooms are not great. Sometimes you gamble on a budget hotel and get a great value, sometimes you get dirty rooms. The heater was not working in the room, so I was provided with a space heater. The carpet was super dirty. Dead bugs on the furniture. And the bathroom was incredibly outdated and the shower did not drain.

This place is terrible! Smoke detector was broken, no lock on bathroom window and screen was siting on the ground, bed blanket had multiple cigarette burns and place stinks of smoke. The best part, soundproofing between rooms doesn't exist. This allowed us to listen to a couple domestic fighting at 1am.

Room was clean. Only a 1-cup coffee pot. Bed felt small, supposed to be a queen. Very noisy. Walks are thin, can hear everything going on in other rooms.

First room had flies and partially smoked cigarette on bed. Second room TV didn’t work. They said they’d fix but didn’t. Weak internet and dirty carpet.

The location is convenient for getting off the main road, but the noisy vehicles behind don't seem to subside until about midnight, at first glance the duct tape holding the wall heater in is off-putting but worked fine once we figured out the controls. It's obvious the motel has seen better times but if you're just looking for some sleep before getting back on the road?? This place works ok.

Unlike our prior stay this was a disappointment. Heater didn’t work (yes I followed their directions) so the room was very cold; high 20’s outside. Since they use Starlink the number of internet connections is limited; hence we were kicked off every minute. I called the front desk from my cell (room phone is inop) and she said the Starlink is fine as she has access. So… the night front desk is probably streaming yet we have no service; nice. I went to the front desk in the morning to tell her about the heater but no one was there (waited 5 min). I really liked the Town House Motel as it was well maintained and friendly service - not anymore. Really unfortunate.

Clean, quiet, comfortable. Dawn made us feel like we were family, made sure we had extrra coffee for the morning, suggested some places for dinner as well as breakfast.

My key failed to work in the room upon returning from breakfast nearby, and I had to wake up the manager to get the key refreshed. No big deal, but it's never happened to me before at any motel/hotel.

Office not open until checkin time. Wouldn't respond to buzzer

This was a very cute motel. The bed wasn't very comfortable for me, but that could just be me. What I really liked was the way they accommodated us. We stayed at the motel 2 separate nights. After our first night I asked if it was possible to have the same room when we came back. They told me it was not problem. Then, the day we were returning, I called and asked if we could check in early, and they accommodated that as well.

Absolutely horrible stay. I booked a double room. Upon arrival stated they over booked would give us 2 single rooms at same cost. Check my credit card find out they double charged me. I called hotel to be met with I have to contract owner. 24 hrs later same lady, no answer and she hung up on me when I was trying to explain. DO NOT STAY !!!!

I highly suggest finding another spot to stay. Not sure how this place has an over 8 rating. Just pulling up to the place I got a creepy vibe. Pulled up around midnight on my way to Boise. There were people sitting out front of their rooms just watching people which wasn't comfortable feeling at all. The front desk lady was half awake and not present. The first room we got a key for wouldn't open, then a half naked guy answered the door and we were all startled. I apologized and let him know this was the room we were assigned, he said, you can still come in if you'd like....ewwwww. Went back to half awake lady and explained what happened. Got another room, #15, went there, opened the door, two people looked at me surprised as to why I was coming in their room in the middle of the night. How freaking embarrassing and horrifying! Went back to half awake lady and let her know I'll be leaving and would like a refund. Unfortunately this place was very 'hills have eyes' vibe of a place. Yes its cheap, but there's other places here that are inexpensive and way better to stay at! I'm truly amazed at the rating this place has. Very deceiving. I highly encourage you to look elsewhere. The front desk lasy wasn't even apologetic about what was happening, just weird

My 2nd stay here. Check in was smooth as always. My rooms shower wouldn’t drain and tv wasn’t cooperating. Dawn was great, switched the room quickly and very helpful. Happy I caught her before she went home. Friendly and helpful! Good job Dawn!! Not a resort property but perfect for overnight travelers. Hot shower comfy bed!

The room they tried to give me already had someone in it. And then they tried to give me a hard time about the refund. Expedia tried to help but it is not resolved yet.

We arrived at 4:00 and were given keys to two rooms. One was occupied and the other had not been cleaned before our arrival. The desk clerk then gave us the keys to a nonsmoking room that reeked of tobacco smoke. They finally found one acceptable room and cleaned the one that had not been prepared for guests. The lack of professionalism by staff was laughable.

Dawn took leadership and fixed numerous cleaning and maintenance issues that the other staff neglected even after I notified them. The place is okay and has lots of potential but management needs to make changes.. Don has a great career as a consultant and trainer if not a partner owner.

Picked this place due to the ratings which were very misleading. Town was booked and it was late at night and needed some sleep. Place was a dump! It was filthy. Don’t think it has been vacuumed since the 70’s. Cobwebs, stains, worn towels, sheets…. More like pay by the hour motel. Neighborhood wasn’t great either as it had a bunch of guys hanging out on the sidewalk by the place drinking till 11pm. But it did have a good outdoor fire pit right outside the room.

Absolutely the Worst Hotel Experience – Do Not Stay Here This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. When we arrived, the room was filthy. I used Clorox wipes to clean surfaces, and every wipe came up brown—desks, chairs, remotes, everything. The toilet even had urine on it that wasn’t from us, and I had to clean it myself. It was disgusting. We tried to book elsewhere, but every other hotel in the area was full, so we had no choice but to stay here. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Outside the room, multiple men were loitering and smoking late into the night right outside our window, which made us feel unsafe. There were car alarms going off constantly, and it was nearly impossible to sleep. This experience was horrible from start to finish. I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel at all costs. I only took the one picture of the bathroom door. Sorry i didnt have more proof. But it was bad. I cannot say that enough.

The hotel was very nice. It's an older style hotel, but the property was nicely kept, the parking lot was not damaged, and the room was really nice. The bed was comfortable and the location was quiet. I would stay here again.

The most important component for me choosing a hotel is cleanliness and safety. This hotel is very clean, inside and out. The grounds are immaculate. It is an older motor court motel. You can pretty much park your car right outside the door. Receptionist was very friendly and checked us in very quickly. We had no trouble getting into our room. It is dated, and could use a little bit of sprucing up, such as new bedding and bedspread. The only complaint is that there were no bath towels, only hand towels and washcloths. There were no coffee pods for the coffee maker. I went to the office in the morning at 8:30 AM and rang two bells and no one answered. Other than those two oopsies, the stay was comfortable and safe. I would stay there again, but I would definitely check on the towels and other supplies in the room. Next door to the motel is the cleanest gas station and mini mart that I’ve ever been in. It is well supplied and has lots of coffee options, sandwiches and breakfast items.

Clean with all amenities for a reasonable price. No breakfast offered. But not advertising breakfast when it is only coffee and an apple or granola bar and nowhere to sit.

The Townhouse is a cute old fashioned motor court motel. No frills but handy and cheap. The Griddle across the street serves an amazing breakfast

This is a perfectly nice motel for the price. The bed was comfortalbe. The room was clean. The shower was nice. Older motel but well kept. No breakfast except a couple of fruit bars and coffie. Worth the price on a weekday.

The staff was extremely helpful. I ask where the ice was and the maintenance man got me some from the kitchen because the ice machine was out of service. There are two great restaurants in the hotel.

Perfect stay. I was on an overnight trip to explore the hills around Winnemucca and The Town House had a comfortable bed, clean, coffee maker in the room, courteous staff. 4 Cs/ Stars for me. Just missing the continental breakfast or cocktails, either combined (usually) gets 5!
