The primary reason to stay here is the amazing location. Half a block from the zocalo, where all the action is while being on a quiet street with no cars. It was also clean and seemed safe. That said, there was a lot we didn’t like. It is really a cross between an Airbnb and hotel with limited service. No concierge to ask questions of. The rooms are on the small side and not well laid out (example, no dresser so I had to use the “desk” to put all my clothes on top of and no closet). The shower pressure was weak, we had an issue with drainage, and it smelled of sewage most of the time we were there. Lastly, the birds chirping in the morning typically woke us up. If we came back to Oaxaca we would look for another place near the Zocalo.

La localización inmejorable y la decoración del hotel muy actual, respetando y comulgando con la arquitectura original del edificio. La habitación chica pero nueva y bien decorada. Algo encerrada y húmeda. El personal de primera, muy amables y siempre listos a ayudar. El servicio de Ana, la administradora que se contacta por Whatsapp, muy atenta y eficiente. Nuestra estancia fue gracias a todo esto muy placentera, aunque extrañé los servicios clásicos de un hotel: frontdesk que atendiera en persona (en tres ocasiones nos fueron a buscar y no hay quien abra o atienda), lavandería, restaurante o café, etcétera. Por lo demás, de primera.

Lo bueno es el ingreso con código y esto da seguridad y confianza, lo mismo del código en habitación. Lo malo no cuenta con cable en TV y el servicio de Internet es deficiente y no carga bien la TV abierta y mucho menos las aplicaciones. Por lo demás rescatable, cerca de todo.

I really liked the place. It was quite despite the noises outside. The room i got was small but very nice and clean. With a modern feel to it. Also has a small patio outside the sliding doors we enjoyed an afternoon snack there. We traveled with 4 luggage and that was not fun because theres no elevator. But thats was on us. The stay was great!

Exceptional hotel. Everything was perfect about our week at Casa 1800. Inside our spacious room it was quiet, private and peaceful and then right out the front door is the vibrant and exciting historic center of Oaxaca. We were even messaged about scheduling a taxi to the airport on our last day which was so appreciated. In the morning, we’d wake up to the quiet birds outside in the open air areas.

Stop scrolling and book this boutique hotel, especially during the Dia De Los Muertos Holiday. The location is amazing and the rooms with the balcony are incredible. But the best part of our stay, was the staff. Caring and reasonable pricing on everyhing they offer. I will definitely stay here again next year. I can’t say enough about the staff.

Exceptional hotel. Everything was perfect about our week at Casa 1800. Inside our spacious room it was quiet, private and peaceful and then right out the front door is the vibrant and exciting historic center of Oaxaca. We were even messaged about scheduling a taxi to the airport on our last day which was so appreciated. In the morning, we’d wake up to the quiet birds outside in the open air areas.

Stop scrolling and book this boutique hotel, especially during the Dia De Los Muertos Holiday. The location is amazing and the rooms with the balcony are incredible. But the best part of our stay, was the staff. Caring and reasonable pricing on everyhing they offer. I will definitely stay here again next year. I can’t say enough about the staff.

Hotel muy cerca del zócalo. Pudimos caminar la ciudad y ir a descansar varias veces al día. Solo La regadera muy pegada ala pared y fue difícil ajustar el agua a una temperatura media.

Justo en el centro de la ciudad, lo cual hace que sea una ubicación muy privilegiada. La habitacion, aunque muy pequeña, tenia lo necesario y es cómoda.

La localización inmejorable y la decoración del hotel muy actual, respetando y comulgando con la arquitectura original del edificio. La habitación chica pero nueva y bien decorada. Algo encerrada y húmeda. El personal de primera, muy amables y siempre listos a ayudar. El servicio de Ana, la administradora que se contacta por Whatsapp, muy atenta y eficiente. Nuestra estancia fue gracias a todo esto muy placentera, aunque extrañé los servicios clásicos de un hotel: frontdesk que atendiera en persona (en tres ocasiones nos fueron a buscar y no hay quien abra o atienda), lavandería, restaurante o café, etcétera. Por lo demás, de primera.

The service was exceptional. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive. You immediately feel that the staff cares about making your stay a great experience. And a special recommendation: book the Carmen room. It is absolutely worth it. The room has a wonderful character and is the kind of space that makes you want to spend a little extra time enjoying the hotel rather than simply using it as a place to sleep. The hotel was in an incredible location right by the Zocalo and was in an old rustic building. The room had all the amenities we needed and even had a small terrace looking out on the street allowing us to hear the music outside. Additionally, the staff was very helpful and kind. Overall it was a wonderful stay!
