Parking was a nightmare! Under the hotel, people were parking anywhere & everywhere, even though they say you can’t park in certain areas! There is NO WAY they could tow your car! The room was new & clean, but layout was not good. No couch or chairs, just a small wooden table & two wooden chairs. The television was placed so that there was no place to watch it unless you stood up!. Mounted on the wall but could not move it at all. Poor design. Wi-Fi was excellent, breakfast good, nice lobby, well decorated! Front desk personnel were nice & friendly.

Parking is atrocious here. Car got super dirty because we had to park in a gravel municipal lot. There was broken door handles on the third floor stair doors. The first floor door was missing in the back stairs on the beach side allowing anyone to enter the building. Our room door had a sticking point so the only way to close it was to slam it and it was very hard to open. Room 321. The pool was very clean and well maintained, but has limited lounge area. Breakfast at this hotel is not much, and surrounding breakfast options are limited within walking distance. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

First of all the room AC was sated up warm it took a long time to cool down. The elevator was extremely SLOW and HOT no AC, We had to take the stairs several occasions, one morning the elevator wasn’t working. The ice machine was broken. We thought it was going to be nicer.

This was our second time staying at The Palms. Facility is nice and clean. One area that needs improving is parking. There are very few spaces at the facility and the county parking lots across the street (payment required) were both full when we arrived, with people circling looking for spaces to become available We lucked up and found someone leaving and not sure what would have happened if we hadn’t. Also, upon checking out at 5:30 AM, both loading/unloading designated spaces at the hotel parking lot had cars parked in them overnight. All in all stay was pleasant but limited parking could easily have caused issues.

This was a great hotel however during the 2 nights we were there the only elevator they had kept having issues. It didn’t bother me but someone I was with could not do steps with luggage. Otherwise it was very clean, convenient to everything, comfortable beds, nice shower. We will definitely stay here again.

The pool was under construction and we didn’t mind that, but we didn’t realize that meant that our room would be right next to the pool, and jack hammering started at 9am every morning. My boyfriend also fell in the elevator because a railing came off. The level of construction happening here should have had the place close down for a week. Our trip was great despite how awful the hotel was.

Rude staff. Pool was closed unexpectedly and they didn’t even offer an apology, let alone compensation. They said they could cancel my reservation. Thankfully, Expedia offered me some OneKey cash. The next morning I asked the front desk at 10AM to have housekeeping clean the room and change sheets. Returned at 8:30PM and it was still dirty. They offered to bring me sheets to change them myself. It’s not a cheap hotel but the service feels like it.

I was slightly appalled once I walked into the room. It looked like the pictures however it was very dirty unfortunately. Staining on the bed sheet, brown stains all over the white bathroom door, hair and dust on the tub, rust on the lamp bases, chipped up baseboards… even the ice container had a horrific smell from stagnant water left behind.

Did not have enough parking under the building. Had to pay for parking. Room was not as clean as it should have been. Mold at the top of the shower. Soap dish had dirt in it. Room was really noisy, not insulated well. Keurig coffee maker had hair in it.

The women working the front desk were kind, and that is truly the only positive thing I can say about my experience at this property. The room looked tidy enough, but upon further examination I found soap scum coating the tub and shower walls, there were a few sticky rings on different tabletop & counter surfaces, and the floor turned the bottom of my while socks a filthy blackish gray. The bedding felt like sleeping between sheets of cheap paper towels, and the mattress was the worst I’ve ever had to sleep on. The water that came from the sink and shower had a stench, as did the ice from the machine. The vending machines were out of everything, and only offered sugary sodas and energy drinks. An option to purchase water would have been nice, although I imagine they’d be sold out and unstocked as well. Luckily I only had to stay for a single night before joining the rest of my group at an Airbnb on the island.

The room was okay not too bad, just average and I would not stay there again. The whole facility could use a good scrubbing nothing felt clean. There was hair, not ours, on the floor and the table was sticky when we arrived. The beds were okay and the pillows were lifeless.

We LOVED our stay! It was a short walk down the boardwalk right to the beach and we could rinse off outside before going back to our rooms. The beds were very comfortable and showers were very nice. The cleanliness of the rooms was great and housekeeping each day was so timely and well done. My whole family said we would come back here in a heartbeat! Awesome vacation!

Decent. Bring a cooler, as the fridge is just “cool” and there’s no way to control the temp. Also, the AC wall unit will need to be jacked down to the lowest setting to be comfortable bc for some reason hot outside air is just leaching through the returns in the ceiling. The pleasant surprise was that we had a balcony facing the restaurant next door but the sliding door to the balcony is like 100% soundproof so there’s that. The parking is limited and tight, but they will let you park there and hit the beach prior to checkin, and you have a parking pass you put in your windshield that only has a checkout date on it so you can leave your car there literally all day on your checkout day and stay at the beach. Super easy access to the beach also. The best part I have to say is, seeing the warren of rabbits as we walked from the garage on the boardwalk down to the beach. Every day, it was a beautiful thing.

I loved staying in Isle of Palms! This is a prime location on the beach! The only thing is most of the rooms don’t have any windows and feel kinda like you’re trapped. We moved to a room with a balcony overlooking the town and that made the trip! As long as you stay in the front or back sides of the hotel, this is a perfect stay. But if you don’t care about that, it’s a clean and nice spot to stay

The room was very clean and there were plenty of towels. Unfortunately, the room was directly across from a very loud beeping elevator and a noisy door that opened to the stairwell, both of which were heavily used by guests. Our room's door frame was not well-sealed and there was a window facing the hallway, so the noise was terrible. Not a peaceful stay.

Nice hotel, walk to the beach and staff are friendly. Our room was on the ground floor and didn't have a window facing outside, so we had no view which was a bit weird, but the room was a decent size so it don't bother us for a couple of nights. A short drive to Charleston, which is a must visit city full of history and atmosphere. If you plan to stay for more than a couple youay want to get a room with a window facing the outside.

Room was comfortable and clean. Sinks water pressure was poor. Shower was fine. Had to change rooms since TV not working.walls very thin. Can hear conversations. Everything was quiet until the weekend when kids were screaming and playing in the hall. Parking was first come and very difficult to find a space. Breakfast was ok. Mainly cereal and bagels. Don’t think I would ever stat during busy season.

This is an older hotel. I believe they’ve tried to update the rooms but the photos online made them look nicer than ours was. The bathroom was extremely small. Also paid more for partial oceanfront but the only way you could see the water was if you went out on your balcony and leaned over. It was just ok.

The Palms are located on the beach. Our room had a partial ocean view which we could enjoy from our balcony. Our balcony had chairs and a table. The room was clean and modernly decorated. Comfortable bed. The hotel has a quaint modern beach vibe. Breakfast was good enough. Plenty of food options just a walk away.

Rooms updated nicely but walls are THIN. And doors have closing springs that SLAM them so that is not ideal in the AM or at night.

Great beach, very good 3 star hotel. My family was extremely excited for a long weekend break, my son especially. It was a surprise for my wife's birthday and a surprise for my son. The gentleman that checked us in could not have been more of a buzz killer. Talk about going from excited to feeling like you are an inconvenience. Zero personality, never said "welcome, thank you, asked if we had stayed before, offered any recommendations." Not rude or hateful, just seemed to hate his job. Over all the hotel was decent. Its an older 3 star hotel. But, the location is great and food and shopping is all within walking. Honestly, just due to the check in experience I will stay somewhere else next time.

Overall I was truly happy with my stay. The front desk staff was amazing. I decided to stay an additional night, and even though they didn’t have my current room available, they seemlessly moved me from one room to another via late check out in room 1 and immediate availability of room 2. The room and bathroom were wonderfully cleaned and the bedding was very comfortable. Not a whole lot of storage for clothes, didn’t have a safe in room 1 so that was a bit of a downside. Parking is extremely limited so don’t be surprised if you can’t find something under the hotel, there might be room enough for 10 mid sized cars max. That was the other downside. BUT being on the beach and having these breath taking views and the ocean at your fingertips is worth any slight inconvenience. Great restaurants within walking distance. The pool is nice too. Overall I was truly happy with my stay. The front desk staff was amazing. I decided to stay an additional night, and even though they didn’t have my current room available, they seemlessly moved me from one room to another via late check out in room 1 and immediate availability of room 2. The room and bathroom were wonderfully cleaned and the bedding was very comfortable. Not a whole lot of storage for clothes, didn’t have a safe in room 1 so that was a bit of a downside. Parking is extremely limited so don’t be surprised if you can’t find something under the hotel, there might be room enough for 10 mid sized cars max. That was the other downside. BUT being on the beach and having these breath taking views and the ocean at your fingertips is worth any slight inconvenience. Great restaurants within walking distance. The pool is nice too. Breakfast is small but it is fresh and satisfying. I will definitely return/recommend this hotel. Horrible service at checkin. Elise seemed to not like that I was checking in. She wouldn't even stand or extend her arm to take and give my info, room keys, receipt. Had to reach over a desk and computer. Very rude, childish and petty! After reading reviews, other people had similar experiences Checking in. Will never stay there again!

Had to give all check in info twice after room wasn’t available early-room not being ready is understandable but gave all info earlier and got parking pass and still had to go over all info credit card email everything again asked for a call when room was ready but didn’t get one and no answer in office whenever we tried to call. The Palms are located on the beach. Our room had a partial ocean view which we could enjoy from our balcony. Our balcony had chairs and a table. The room was clean and modernly decorated. If you are on a hen weekend this is the perfect stay for you. Not for a couple who like the peace and quiet though. Property was ok but next to some loud bars although to be fair things seemed to close quite early. Beach was quite densely populated and this was out of season so suspect it is rammed any other time. Hotel was fine, breakfast was mediocre. service ok although had to yell at housekeeping to stop them coming in our room before we checked out! Won’t be coming back.

Great small hotel. Well run with lots of friendly staff. Breakfast was included which was a nice surprise. Located right on the beach. Access could not have been better or easier! The beaches were clean and not very crowded when we were there in late May. Parking in the deck with a large SUV was challenging due to the low ceilings. They offered surface parking for free just 1 block away. Access to restaurants was plentiful. I highly recommend the taco place that is a few doors down. If you found this review helpful, please? The room was clean, but during my five-day stay, the lobby and breakfast area were in need of regular cleaning, especially the floors. Coffee spills and stains remained untouched the entire time, and I never saw the tables being wiped down after use. Food replenishment was not automatic—you had to ask when items ran out. The bananas provided daily were rotten. Additionally, there are only 18 parking spaces beneath the hotel, none of which are designated for handicapped parking. If you need accessible parking, you’ll have to use the municipal lot about a block away—assuming you can make the walk.

This property has a nice location, a boardwalk right to the beach. There is also a few restaurants and shops within walking distance. The room was nice and clean. There was no window in the room which was odd. I knew it was a room without a view but didn't know that meant no window. I didn't expect much for breakfast because it did say continental but it was even less than I expected. A muffin or Danish would have been nice. The employees were ok, not overly friendly. We did enjoy our location and walking on the beach

It would be nice if they had a better beach view walking to the beach instead of two old fashioned picnic tables. The pool is nice but smells of grease due to the restaurant next door. Not sure they can do anything about that. Needs something me kind of deck fir people to sit outside by ocean.
