We had such a great stay! The beds are amazing- best sleep I’ve had in years!! And the location cannot be beat. We had such a blast riding bikes all around rainbow row area- what a fun accommodation!!

The French Quarter Inn absolutely lives up to its reputation for Southern hospitality and charm. From the moment we arrived, every detail made us feel genuinely welcomed — from the complimentary champagne at check-in to the bikes available to borrow. Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully appointed. The location in the Historic District couldn’t be better — we could walk everywhere: the waterfront, art galleries, great restaurants, and all the hidden cobblestone alleys that make Charleston so special. Every staff member we met was warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The breakfast and evening wine and cheese reception were both lovely bonuses that made us feel more like guests in someone’s elegant home than in a hotel. We will definitely be back on future trips to Charleston.

I loved the hotel, amenities like breakfast, PM snacks and cookies and milk! The staff was wonderful. One concern: the bathtub was too slippery. It is a "vintage" tub, slippery bottom and no grab bars. The location is great. Note: Parking is very expensive ($50 a day with taxes, etc.)

Perfection!! Upon arrival we were offered a glass of champagne….what a great way to start our vacation! After our bags were delivered to the room, we took a stroll to the market before returning at 5:30 for the complimentary happy hour. Wine, beer, delicious charcuterie….every night from 5:30-6:30. Then at 8:30 (I think) each night they have warm, fresh baked cookies and milk. Plus they always have coffee, tea and water available throughout the day The breakfast buffet was included and delicious and you could choose to have it delivered to your room if you preferred. They had scrambled eggs with peppers, puffed pastry, sausage, fruit, overnight oats, yogurt, pastries, and gluten free options too. The hotel also has complimentary bikes which is a great way to tour the city. It included helmets if you wanted them and bike locks. We spent an entire day on bikes touring all over Charleston. Did I mention the pillow bar?? They have a menu of 5 or 6 different pillow options. Simply push the pillow concierge button on the phone in your room to ask for some pillow options. Our favorite ended up being the buckwheat pillows. They have a fireplace in the lobby area which is a great place to sit during happy hour. Plus they have dvd players in the room and a nice collection of movies you can borrow. We also enjoyed some of their board games one evening. Everyone who worked there was super nice and helpful and willing to assist as needed. Southern hospitality at its best!!

Charming staff were very helpful, informed, and inviting. The valet staff were very polite; the bicycle tires needed some inflation but they were able to call maintenance and they took care of it. I am *definitely* booking here again when I return to Charleston. It was at the heart of the historic district.

Seemed no other place to park but valet due to location. But then had a surprise bill at check out of over $150 for the valet service, was not told valet service charge or other options to park. Didn’t care for that surprise bill at check out. Also was there for a special event and was only given expensive add ons to the room, no other options.. a bottle of wine goes along way given the price we paid for the room. Twice we went to the cookie reception to have nothing left for us to get.

I have stayed in several lovely hotels in Charleston over the years, but the French Quarter Inn was by far the best experience I’ve had. From our arrival to our check-out, everyone my family encountered at the hotel was friendly, courteous and professional. The room was comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The amenities are fantastic! We enjoyed the breakfast, the wine and cheese and the warm cookies. The fitness center was great, too. My compliments to hotel management and staff on providing an excellent experience for your guests. The hotel is in a great location for those wanting to explore the city. Loved our stay at French Quarter Inn. Great location to shopping, dining & everything you want to see in Charleston! The staff was friendly and professional. The personal extras for guests while you stay are like no other hotel I’ve experienced. The welcoming champagne is a wonderful treat to start your stay followed by a wine & cheese hour, milk and cookies evening snack & lovely complimentary breakfast. The rooms are spacious with nice furnishings and the beds are very comfortable. We did have one hiccup with a dirty bathroom mat which was handled swiftly by housekeeping. All in all our stay was wonderful and I would definitely recommend the hotel. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay and customer service was exemplary. Ben and Kim went above and beyond taking care of us. We loved the milk and cookies in the evening. We had a lovely room with a sitting area and balcony. The only con and it didn’t affect our stay is the furniture is a bit worn and dated. Other than that the hotel is beautiful and its a wonderful central location in the French Quarter district.

The staff was the best part about my stay. Quite honestly, I was somewhat disappointed in the cleanliness of my room. The door my room had dirt marks all over it near where the key card is used. The walls in the room had some dirt on them as well. The bathroom was very clean, however. The beds were amazing! I loved the quietness of the room. The hotel does offer a lot of options such as the champagne on arrival and the wine in the afternoons and the cookies at night, but it would be nice to have a restaurant on site for other options if you don’t want to go out to eat. Very pleasant experience other than the few things mentioned. I would stay there again based on the staff as well as the location and the wonderful bed.

This was our first stay at the French Quarter Inn and we really loved it! Everyone we encountered, from the valets to front desk, and housekeeping was super friendly and eager to help. Our room was very clean throughout our stay, as was the entire hotel. The hotel was at a really good location for walking to a lot of good dining, shopping, and sightseeing. Would absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay and customer service was exemplary. Ben and Kim went above and beyond taking care of us. We loved the milk and cookies in the evening. We had a lovely room with a sitting area and balcony. The only con and it didn’t affect our stay is the furniture is a bit worn and dated. Other than that the hotel is beautiful and its a wonderful central location in the French Quarter district.

Reception staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and afternoon snacks were excellent. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. While we didn't have a nice view from the room, that was more than made up for by the excellent service. An excellent overall choice for our visit to Charleston.

Fantastic location in the heart of downtown walking distance to the Market waterfront park and so many good restaurants not to mention Carmela is the most amazing dessert. Beautifully maintained room with all the extras. Highly recommend doing this in the winter as that price jumps up the warmer months. Excellent welcome reception at 5:30. Cookies and coffee at 8:30, Pretty good breakfast. Love the extra touches like turn down Service with chocolates with valerian, root or chamomile in them…. and waters by the bed, they fully deserve their high rating. The lighting was a little bit dark in the bedroom but fortunately we were just laying low and didn’t need to worry about it. We enjoyed riding the bikes, but they need serviced a bit. They were not in the best of shape. But they were complimentary. Perfect mother daughter, overnight getaway.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. The rooms are clean and quite large. We had a junior suite with two Queen beds and a couch. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. The staff was amazing and friendly. They helped us arrange a car to and from the airport and even assisted when I left my wallet at the hotel. They got it to the airport prior to my flight! The location is perfect. It is right near the market with many restaurants near by and everything else is walkable. Would definitely return. Our only recommendation is to upgrade the tech in the room specifically the TV. It was quite old and was not “smart”. Other then that it was amazing! Thank you!

Beautiful hotel. The interior was gorgeous. The terrace was not very private so might not be worth the extra money. Location was very walkable and loved the extras including a choice of pillows. I forgot how nice the buckwheat pillows are - inspired me to order one for home. Their signature scent is lovely - they should think about selling the oil for diffusers.

Our recent 2 night stay was a delight. Large, family suite catered to our every need. Friendly, attentive staff and nice 'unique' touches made this a great choice for our family break in Charleston. Relish and Kim really cared about my experience and were the true definition of Southern Hospitality. However one of the bellman was unfortunately extremely rude. He literally blocked my exit from the elevator early one morning and refused to move. Then made a comment to me as i maneuvered around him as he entered the elevator.

The French Quarter Inn absolutely lives up to its reputation for Southern hospitality and charm. From the moment we arrived, every detail made us feel genuinely welcomed — from the complimentary champagne at check-in to the bikes available to borrow. Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully appointed. The location in the Historic District couldn’t be better — we could walk everywhere: the waterfront, art galleries, great restaurants, and all the hidden cobblestone alleys that make Charleston so special. Every staff member we met was warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The breakfast and evening wine and cheese reception were both lovely bonuses that made us feel more like guests in someone’s elegant home than in a hotel. We will definitely be back on future trips to Charleston.

The French Quarter Inn is one of the nicest hotels/Inns we have ever stayed at! Beautifully laid out with staff that are 2nd to none. Amenities were great! Breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese reception and port to finish the evening! The location is right downtown overlooking the city market. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and the staff went out of the way to ensure it was a lovely stay which included a room upgrade and champagne. 10 out of 10.

Ben and Kevin where fantastic bell hops Manager helped us out immediately with some maintenance issue and we are grateful for his quick response. Front desk was very informative. Only complaint would be bartender was split between another bar so we would have to ask front desk to call them over everyday of our stay. But bartenders where Great at making drinks when onsite

This property is absolutely amazing! It is located right across from the Charleston market with tons of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff was unbelievably welcoming and helpful. Each member of the staff really added to our stay. The hotel itself is gorgeous. We stayed in a room on the third floor with a balcony and it was stunning. This was the best hotel stay we have ever had.

We had an excellent stay at French Quarter Inn! Beautiful hotel, with a lot of nice added touches such as the fabulous breakfast and wine and cheese/wine offered every day. The staff were all friendly and attentive to any need we had. The hotel is in a great location, most every tourist thing we did was in walking distance as were all of the wonderful restaurants. We highly recommend French Quarter Inn!

The French Quarter Inn is the epitome of classic Southern Hospitality at its best. The service is impeccable. We splurged on a King Balcony room and loved the layout and the small warm fireplace. The bed and many pillows were wonderfully comfy, the shower and warm fluffy towels were lovely. So many thoughtful touches - all day tea and coffee, a very nice breakfast, afternoon snacks, cookies and turndown service. The Inn added special Christmas touches, including awesome carolers. Since there is not an on-site restaurant. The ambiance was very peaceful. The only negative was the loud Irish pub that faced our bedroom, which was VERY noisy on Friday and Saturday nights - but fortunately not on Sunday - a huge difference. The Inn addresses this with a white noise machine that helped a lot. The area near the Market and close to the river was very walkable, although not as fashionable and upscale as the nearby King Street hotels. We are very glad that we selected this Inn based on reviews. Special thanks to Kim (front desk) and Jay valet) for their outstanding service!

everything was spectacular....not only was breakfast included, but they deliver it directly to the room if you prefer. they have a happy hour wine/cheese spread, and a dessert late at night as well. the location in the heart of charleston was ideal for our stay, the hotel itself is immaculate and the staff were all wonderful to deal with...10/10 and would highly recommend.

Price includes complimentary breakfast room service and/or large breakfast buffet which can be eaten in an absolutely lovely courtyard with lemon trees and a water fountain. The food is delicious! There is also a wonderful wine and cheese spread every night from 530-630 and warm cookies and milk at 830pm! The service was wonderful and the hotel is walking distance from many things to do and restaurants to visit! Highly recommend!

The breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs and lots of fruit coffee, yogurt etc. was what we often eat at home. Healthy and tasty. Water was always available as the tap water wasn't up to par. Fresh, clean water in cans. The afternoon wine and cheese was something we enjoyed very much as well my husband liked the milk & cookie event in the later evening.

The staff was the best part about my stay. Quite honestly, I was somewhat disappointed in the cleanliness of my room. The door my room had dirt marks all over it near where the key card is used. The walls in the room had some dirt on them as well. The bathroom was very clean, however. The beds were amazing! I loved the quietness of the room. The hotel does offer a lot of options such as the champagne on arrival and the wine in the afternoons and the cookies at night, but it would be nice to have a restaurant on site for other options if you don’t want to go out to eat. Very pleasant experience other than the few things mentioned. I would stay there again based on the staff as well as the location and the wonderful bed.

Overall, we liked our visit to the French Quarter Inn in downtown Charleston. However, although it was nice, it did not live up to our expectations as the top hotel in Charleston. Champagne on arrival was nice, as was the hour's wine and cheese reception. Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. The small balcony off the bedroom was very pleasant looking over the market but the TV room in our suite was extremely blah in appearance and had no tables to put glasses on when sitting. The accomodations were excellent, clean and well-designed for comfort. The extra and above expectations extra services (happy hour wine and cheese, port wine and cookies at night) were a pleasant surprise. The staff was incredibly focused on our well-being, especially Kim at the desk, Kevin responsible for baggage and above-all Bob who seemed to run the whole establishment single-handedly. Breakfast could be more varied.

The staff was incredibly focused on our well-being, especially Kim at the desk, Kevin responsible for baggage and above-all Bob who seemed to run the whole establishment single-handedly. Breakfast could be more varied.

Great Inn with perfect location. The staff went above and beyond. Excellent breakfast and wine and cheese. We really enjoyed our time at the French Quarter Inn. Would highly recommend it for folks looking for a quiet restful stay that is convenient to the historic sites and shopping district.
