This Courtyard by Marriott was clean and well maintained. After check-in, I was slipped a small piece of paper with my room keys. The paper slip showed an additional parking charge of $13.00 dollars and instructions to place the paper on the vehicle dash or be towed. The hotel is not located in a downtown area where parking charges are to be expected or near a football stadium, etc. Parking was not valet. The parking lot was not fenced, it wasn’t a gated garage, it did not have posted security. Just a parking lot. Like McDonald’s. My research pre booking did not reveal any parking charges associated with the hotel. Surprise. Like being charged for parking at Walmart. This felt like a disguised resort fee at a budget hotel. Coffee in the morning came with $9.00 charge. I was ambushed by Courtyard by Marriott’s nickel and dime shell game policies. Be better.

This property is under construction. Someone should have note that. There’s no entrance except a side door. Sheetrock everywhere and it’s sooo noisy and loud. For the price we could have stayed at th Omni downtown. Staff was great but that’s about it.

I like how clean the room was it made me feel comfortable staying there. I will definitely stay here again. However, there is no free complimentary breakfast but the bistro cafe was good. I would say that the no free complimentary breakfast would need to get updated about to prevent further confusion.

The carpet had stains and was very grainy. Hated walking around without shoes. Had to pay for parking which I thought was weird (the reason they gave was so that it wouldn’t be stolen or broken into). That alone raised my eyebrow!

My bed was soaking wet when I arrived. After two hours it was still wet so i requested different linen. I was given the linen to put on the bed myself ! The ladies at the front desk had excellent service at all times

Overall - not a great experience. The refrigerator was iced over and not working properly. After telling them, we didn’t appreciate them showing up at 7:30am to look at it. The whole room smelt like mildew/mold. Those were the smallest and most uncomfortable queen beds.

The room was nice, however the carpets were very wet. We had to wear our shoes. Checkout is at Noon but housekeepers woke us up at 9:00 to clean. They were shampooing a room near ours and that was very noisy. We were there for a concert at Dickies Arena so the location was great.

Check in was wonderful and every employee was great. The hotel is just getting worn out and dated. Bed was way too soft; the pillows flimsy. All the furniture is a bit beat up. It was clean, however.

The property and staff are EXCELLENT! Very attentive to your questions, go out of their way to assist and to make sure you are comfortable. LOVE the fact that the property is only 2 stories and nestled amongst the trees. Only one negative, the water pressure in the shower was barely more than a trickle. Suggest moving some of the pressure from the toilet to the shower.

I liked the location of the property, check in went well, the amenities were nice, room was clean and well stocked. It's time to retire the mattress. There was a cavernous indentation in the mattress and it was not comfortable. That's the only complaint. There was also some strange black tar that is dripping off the gutters onto the wall of the exterior of the hotel and pooling in the bed by the door that needs to be looked at.

Staff at the front was not very helpful, and seemed to just not want to be there. We booked through Expedia for a bedroom with a king bed and pull out couch bed for our toddler. When we arrived the lady at the front questioned why we were in an accessible room- we switched to a different room and it had the one bed which was fine because we were in and out, just very odd encounter. She slipped a little paper in our check in card holder, describing the parking situation and did not let us know verbally that parking is charged over night. Just was not a very friendly encounter. My card was also charged for $50 as we checked in which i’m assuming is held for damages until you check out and they inspect the room, but then a random $20 charge came through at 2:40AM. Just a very odd experience.

Great place and would have given it a five but i reserved a king size room and when i checked in they had no king's available. I made the reservation well in advance also. Don't understand what the purpose of reserving a room and then they dont have one. Very disappointed.

Property was easy to get to and close to campus and the highway. But i was a little disappointed in the friendliness of the check in clerk she seemed confused on what was going on and didnt seem very approachable. Also, it didnt mention a parking fee when i made reservations so i was also disappointed in that as well.

Honestly the staff were incredible and very helpful. This location is excellent and very close to the Zoo , shopping and restaurants. I would recommend anyone visiting to stay here , especially families.
