Baymont by Wyndham Albany at Albany Mall

This place is well taken care of and very clean!! The staff was not only friendly but accommodating.

No frills place to sleep. The check-in was kind of quirky in that you stand at a window outside, which feels weird at night. The reception person was professional and nice. Nothing bad to say about the room except the shower gel bottle was empty and the TP roll was almost empty and no replacement in the room - which are things you don't realize until there's no going back. Otherwise, it felt clean, looked like it had been remodeled, except in the bathroom and the doors. If I needed a quick place to stop over for a night I might stay again.

We were nervous about staying in a motel but we needed something affordable. We were very surprised and happy that everything turned out great and eased our worries. The walk in shower was great, hard wood floors and the beds were comfortable, clean and smelled good. I loved the pillows too. Our kids loved the pool it is very well kept and clean. The breakfast was decent being included in the price. Waffles, sausage biscuits, cereal and juice etc. pre made stuff but still good. The staff including front desk, maintenance and maids all were so friendly and waved/smiled Everytime they saw us. Front desk gave me 2 large trash bags to use since the trash cans in the room are always so small. It’s a great location only 15 min from chehaw park. So many restaurants around and a target right across the street. Everything was super clean and well kept including the mini fridge and microwave. They have ice machines and some vending machines but unfortunately only take cash or coins. The only real hiccup we had was the gentleman working front desk Wjen we arrived at 4am. He was a bit rude and left us standing out in the cold while he was on his personal phone it seemed. Also a homeless man riding around asking people for cigarettes and money was a bit unsettling but nothing major. It was a bit pricier than we wanted for a motel running about 125 a night but it was clean, had breakfast, pool and so on. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. I saw some bad reviews but were happy.

Staff super nice. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner (door very dusty, some rust around fixtures), pool not open. Overall, very reasonably priced and a good experience.

clean room and quiet hotel in process of remodeling and updating

The check person was very friendly. The room and bathroom were clean and I appreciated the lack of carpet in the room. It is not fancy but it is quiet and has plenty of parking. I would stay here again.

Property was extremely nice to be considered a motel. The room was nice and big. Bathroom was extremely nice with dove products to use if you didn’t bring your own. Room itself was updated nicely and didn’t seem old and dirty. Property does offer breakfast along with an outdoor pool. Staff were wonderful and friendly.

She even offered me my choice of rooms since the only king rooms were upstairs. You do have to walk up a flight of stairs and there are no elevators, for those w mobility issues. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Someone had changed the input on the tv so it took me a while to get it working, but once I figured it out, it was fine. Breakfast was continental, only microwave sausage biscuits and oatmeal, pastries, etc. Overall though I was happy.

My son and I were in Albany for a family/business trip and only needed a place to stay for one night. According to Hotels.com, the hotel had an 8.2 rating, making it the best option in Albany among the available rooms. While the room appeared to be clean, it had a noticeable smell. I've stayed in worse rooms before, but I feel that the rating should have been more like 7.5 instead of 8.2. Overall, it met our basic needs for the night.

I just rented a room with them n it was fine but this time the room was dirty the floors hadn’t been cleaned the only thing that looked cleaned was the bed there was dead bugs on the floor

This hotel was very clean, beds were comfy and staff was very helpful. If you are looking for a swanky place look elsewhere. If you are looking for a clean room, clean well taken care of furnishings and everything works it is the place! Everyone was great! Thank you for a great 2 day stay.

Although staff was helpful and warm and welcoming when I requested to change rooms because the first one smelt horrible, the next room just was not cleaned either.. the pee around the toilet rim, was disgusting for me. I literally only had 6hrs to be there and I wouldn't have styed any longer, and if I didnt drive 3 hrs and arrive past midnight I would have not been there those 6hrs.

When we arrived I had asked for a first floor due to a bad ankle, our attendant said he didn't have one (he was not very polite) another gentleman was standing there (not sure if he was a manager or what) and told him to change it to a first floor for us. The room was ok, but the bathroom cleanliness was horrible. I always check for bed bugs, which I did not see, but there was a cigarette hole in the liner under the sheet. The ironing board cover had a hole in it. The hair blow dryer was absolutely filthy. There were dead bugs in the ceiling light fixture. Mold on the ceiling and paint peeling off around the tub. The toilet was loose and rocked when you sat on it, and very nasty dirty calking around the toilet. Dirt and hair build up in the corners of the walls. If it were not very tired from driving, we would have went somewhere else, refund or not. This place was HORRIBLE. The attendant at checkout was very nice.

The tub in room was dirty

Room had been updated and was very clean.

There was mold in the shower and the room smelled heavily of smoke.

Bed was in need of replacement, high ridge in middle of bed. not sleep well at all.

The bed was not good. It made noise when you laid down on it. and it sucked in the middle of the bed.

Very noisy, you can hear the trucks outside starting and reving their engines. Otherwise standard hotel room.

Beds were horrible.

If the air conditioner worked, my rating would have been excellent. But the clammy feeling in the room was not comfortable. Otherwise, motel was fine

I've stayed here several times. Each time ive noticed renovations in the works, but even moreso this trip. Brand new shower that replaced a well ised bath tub! All new fixtures too. It was really nice.

Everything was pretty good. Bathroom floor could have been a little cleaner and towel rack on wall was loose. Door to room did not seal properly, light was notiat edges.

The stay was great, as always. I did arrive very late and the desk clerk was a gentleman i had not seen before. I've stayed there many times and the young lady that usually checks me in was obviously already gone for the evening. I guess I was expecting her bubbly personality. The gentleman, although very professional, was almost a little "gruff." Maybe I was just tired. But Ebony, who insaw the next morning, was as beautiful and friendly as ever!!

Speedy check in

The staff was very helpful. When I typed our special needs, explaining my husband rides a handicap scooter into the hotel room, the desk greeter called me to find out the width of the scooter to make sure it would work in their accessible room. Then she had the room passage to the spacious handicap bathroom measured. We found this personal concern exceptional. Check in was smooth and a request of extra towels was immediately provided. Our only wish was more available outlets for charging phones and scooter battery.

I was fully impressed by the rooms. Very nice and clean. The front desk lady was so nice and we had a great conversation. Sorry, I can’t remember her name but she was working the day I checked in (5/24) at 3:00pm. I will choose this hotel again.

My family and I were in town to attend a funeral. I am thankful to the management of the hotel for understanding the need for us to check in a little early so that we could change out of our traveling clothes. When your family is grieving, it helps tremendously for others to show you kindness.

Overall condition and staff was great, anything you want to eat is nearby.

Really enjoy the location. No decaf coffee and only gluten free option was a piece of fruit. Overall it was very nice and peaceful. Would stay again.

Our room was lovely. It was clean, the bed was comfy and it worked well while traveling with our small pup. Breakfast was good and simple.

Breakfast and pillows are the things that i feel could improve

The room was nice but small and the pillows were tooooi soft and we have enough of them. The breakfast SUCKED because it all came from the frig (nothing cooked fresh) and the TINY cups of coffee was ridiculous

Ok noisey rooms people talking outside our door and people stomping upstairs over our room. They don’t have coffee after the breakfast is over.

I feel they should put bottled water in the rooms, when I woke up in the wee hours I was thristy and there was nothing to drink.
