Excellent hotel. Clean, large room and comfy bed. The staff was very professional and friendly. The hotel is under renovation, so the fitness center and pool were closed. However, it was very quiet and the room was nicely done. The location is great. Right off the highway and numerous places to shop and eat close by. Would definitely stay again.

Pool closed

Staff was great helpful Property was not maintained, dirty showers, unusable pool. There was gunk and bugs floating in the pool when we went to go swimming. I booked the room because they had a pool, so was dissapointed.

Pool was closed entire stay. Never told this until arrival. Bathroom mold behind toilet, and ceiling above toilet, yellow discoloration. Water coming out of ceiling above toilet. Reported twice no action. Had to use towels to keep from slipping in water. Trash cans never emptied during stay.

We stayed at this facility for a wedding, My stays are booked by two things, a hot breakfast and a pool. The breakfast was ok, Eggs, sausage, waffle machine and those nasty ass grits.plus other little things such as muffins cereals and juices. The pool was closed all weekend , was told for an inspection,I had called two days in advance of my stay to confirm my bookings and make sure the pool was in operation and was told everything was ready, just to get there and find out about the inspection crap, was not happy and to late to change to a different motel due to cancellation fees.

No hot water in the entire hotel! And it had been like this for 4 days...and they would let people book and then tell them that evening. Tried to cancel with full refund but wouldn't let me. The staff was apologetic....but it was an empty apology: as they didn't allow me to cancel with a refund or offer at least a discount. Also, the internet is very slow (<5Mgbts download). The breakfast was pretty good and the gym was good.

I was attracted to the pool, the 24 hour fitness center and breakfast. The breakfast was good but the pool water was green and the fitness center wasn't all that great

I usually pick a LaQuinta to stay in when there is one in the area that I am visiting because of good previous stays at other locations. However, my experience this time was disappointing, unfortunately. There was a good appearance upon driving up to the location, but once in the facility, there were some issues. The desk clerk, Eric with whom I dealt with at check-in, was very nice and courteous and greeted me with a smile. The check-in went smoothly. These were my issues: 1) the room had a lingering stale odor that I could not identify the source of but perhaps was coming from the carpet in the room and hallway that appeared to need to be cleaned, 2) the air conditioner in the room malfunctioned and would not stay on the temperature I set but randomly adjusted itself making sleeping difficult and overly warm at times, 3) while watching the TV, the screen would often break up into small boxes indicating cable/internet issues, 4) the ice machine was out of service on the 1st and 2nd floors resigning all guests to have to go to the 3rd floor just to get ice that once you brought to the room melted rather quickly. On the 3rd floor, the area where the ice machine was located was overly hot due to a broken air conditioning unit in the area and the hallways on that floor were also hot, 5) the breakfast area was subpar; the waffle machine didn't work, there was no butter, and a bug fell from the waffle machine that was not immediately removed by the attendant when shown it.

This location was in the midst of repairing flood damage. So the pool and the workout room were closed. All of the area where breakfast was served was in the midst of construction. Our room which is room 119 was pretty rough where the bathroom door was, and other wood areas

The spacing in the rooms were nice, the bed was comfortable! But the bathroom was molded in the sink, and in the shower. The bathroom door was also damaged at the bottom so I you could not close the door all the way.

This hotel is so dated the rooms were dark and then the hallway smelled of mold and other things the bar was falling apart. It was so much silicone around the bathtub. It definitely need to be thrown out. Debb was horrible and hard. I had to go buy my own line for me to lay down. Do not go to this hotel run from it the pictures of false advertising if I could give it a zero I will give it a zero do not go by any pictures you see online this place is super dated behind times Out

The rooms were not the cleanest. When we checked in the lobby was dirty. The elevator was dirty. The pool was closed only one ice machine worked on the 3rd floor. There was no AC through the halls so it was just hot. Guest had so many dogs so during the night and during the day you could hear the dogs barking as guest were entering or leaving the floor.

Filthy!!!!!!!! Absolutely disgusting. The carpet did seem to have been vacuumed. The tile was sticky. There was a large sticky spot on the carpet. The whole hotel stunk of pet urine and cleaning products. Vile place. Although the lady at the front desk was super friendly.

The staff was very nice, but, my room had some roaches in the bathroom

My stay has been horrible. I arrived on Friday and spoke with an employee who asked about house keeping at check-in. I requested house keeping for the duration of our 3 day stay and our room has not been touched by house keeping at all. This would probably explain why I returned to my room Saturday night and found a HUGE cockroach on the bathroom floor. I went to the lobby and spoke with a female employee who stated that she was the only one working, but she was nice enough to come and kill the roach. Now Sunday night, as I’m getting ready for bed, I see another roach crawl out of the air conditioner unit and fall onto the carpet. I quickly grabbed a shoe, located the roach and stepped on it. Due to this now being the second roach in our room, I went to the lobby, spoke with the same female employee and requested to be moved to another room. Once in the new room I felt it was necessary to do a check for any other roaches before I felt comfortable going to sleep. There was a dead roach in the corner of the room near the air conditioner unit, along with an opened packet of butter someone probably brought back to the room from breakfast and used. This is absolutely ridiculous for the amount of money I paid to stay here! Aside from our rooms being roach filled and not cleaned, the hallways and elevators of this hotel are also filthy. I understand there are renovations taking place, but the entire hotel looks like it needs a good cleaning. I will never stay here again.

Lots of going in and out of rooms all night long and yelling in the hallways...could hear everything happening outside as either walls or windows were not soundproof

The stay was good I was on second floor the guest up over me was very noises they walk all night the floor was very squeaky when ever someone walks or move it was not a pleasant noise to keep hearing all night couldn't get any rest.

Late check-in was easy, parking is sufficient, restaurants are conveniently located nearby. Room was clean and quiet. My only complaint was the awful bed, it was horribly uncomfortable.

The room was leaking from upstairs, No management reached out to me.

The door to the room was loosely on the henges, the mimi freezer was scratched up and leaning, the ac rarely worked correctly, lamp with no light switch so you have to unplug to turn the light off, drawer on desk wouldn’t stay shut, outlets on bed frame were loose from the frame and some didn’t work.

The hotel was overpriced for the condition that it was in—the marketing pictures were very misleading. It felt very cheap—a sloppy paint job in our room. There were pieces of hair in the shower. The shower didn’t look or feel clean. The lady that checked us in was friendly and efficient.

The mattress on the bed had a hole in it when you sat/laid down. It was very uncomfortable.

The shower was dirty, and the design of the shower allowed water to get all over the bathroom. The AC unit did not work properly.

I had to change rooms because it was raining into the room. A lot.

The staff was excellent.

The property staff in the morning were great and she was very friendly. The maintenance team that helped with my hot water situation was really nice. I disliked having to switch rooms once I had already unpacked however, I liked the fact that they were accommodating to my situation with the room and corrected the issue by moving me to a new room and my stay was great. Thanks for the southern hospitality.

Front Desk staff were super--especially Mathew who delivered outstanding service from start to finish--he is a gem! Also the breakfast bar is great and really appreciated.

This would prob be my last resort in Albany. Was given wrong info by 2 different employees. The 3rd employee I spoke with (she said she was the general manager) basically told me oh well, that’s what happens when you use 3rd parties ( which doesn’t make sense b/c the wrong info came from employees) and I just need to call Expedia and get my money back. My room was already paid for but she said they were almost sold out and could sell it to someone else. Was given the wrong room, but I didn’t even want to bother with notifying the incompetent staff, toilet had been used, tub had rust in the bottom and stains. Eggs were good.

Excellent choice for your stay in Albany. The location is perfect because it is within walking by distance to restaurants, shopping,and groceries, It's only 19-12 minutes from the he Civic Center. The rooms were spacious and super clean, excellent customer service, and great breakfast. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay while in Albany, Ga.

Staff was amazing. They were very courteous and helpful. The hotel itself was very clean. I will absolutely be booking in this hotel in the future.

There were empty beer cans in the bathroom. Old water bottles on the counter. I’m not sure the room was really cleaned. Front desk staff was rude.

The consistency really stands out it’s a lot cleaner than the others we’ve tried, and the staff keeps everything in good shape. Breakfast is served every morning, which makes things easy, and the hotel has an elevator, which is convenient. Parking could be a little better, but overall, the location is very central and works perfectly for us. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable stay.

The hotel was in a great area which made it very easy to go to restaurants and stores in our area.

Poor wi-fi. Nothing would connect. There was no breakfast items available one out of the two mornings. Not hot items (eggs, hasbrowns, sausage), no milk, no yogurt, very limited waffle batter and honestly staff could not keep it supplied).

Check-in was smooth and seamless. Very disappointed that the pool wasn’t open (city hasn’t certified it yet) nowhere in the booking process alerts the customer of this. The pool is one of the main reasons we booked this hotel! The room was clean, no housekeeping issues! The outlet that the fridge and the microwave were plugged into didn’t work - yes we reset the gfci, no luck so we strung the cords to another outlet that did work. Light (fart fan) above the toilet leaked, yup drip-drip right down your back as you’re trying to handle your morning business! Hotel location is pretty centrally located to retail/food and just off the main road, it was a surprisingly quiet stay however. Now for breakfast - the other reason we chose this hotel! Advertised as hot buffet style breakfast. I’m not boujie so my expectations are mediocre. We got there at 0830, opens at 0700, no waffle mix, no eggs/grits/breakfast meat, no utensils! We alerted the staff, we were told “it’s working”. Eggs and sausage links were brought out once! Waffle mix was brought out, pour spout was malfunctioning so the attendant poured 3 people a cup of mix (in a line of many) and never came back! 0930 a new group of folks came to eat and was told everything was out! Seriously they advertise breakfast till 1000! Now let’s talk sanitary - the breakfast attendant with no gloves bare handedly replenished the utensils touching the food side of said utensils. Also, her hair, butt length, dragged the counter, no hairnets!

Never enough food at the breakfast bar. Waffle batter was out the whole time i was there. I asked for towels and toilet paper. To the cleaning staff she gave me wash and hand towels and no toilet paper. Thank goodness there were tissue. Air conditioner was leaking the first day i was in my room. So my room smelled like stagnant water. Front desk staff was nice

Clean and good food

Our two rooms smelled very nice like Dove soap and were nice and clean. The bathrooms were nice and clean too. Staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast smelled like hot and toasty waffles and was good. Not many grab and go items though.

Very friendly and helpful. However on the 2nd day, we came down at 9am for breakfast and no eggs, grits were drinkable, low on waffle batter, but they eventually corrected that problem.

This is so sad because the property itself was great: clean, well maintained, comfortable bed, great breakfast options! Check-in was also easy and wonderful (super friendly staff). Truly, it was excellent and nothing to complain about until trying to actually get sleep... I was exhausted but all night long, there were other “guests”/people talking so loudly it was like they were the only ones in the hotel. Doors were slamming shut and people going up and down the hallway - I was woken up at least 4 different times by others outside of my door/hall/in rooms down from me - at a certain point, once the idea finally dawned on me in the middle of the night, I turned on a sleep story to try and muffle the sounds, it helped somewhat but they were so loud, it didn’t stop it... It was outrageous and ridiculous that this was allowed all night without any intervention by hotel staff.

This La Quinta was ok. Room was nice. Hallways and elevator could use a touch up of paint. Breakfast was just ok. Grits were not cook well- still hard and cold. So I had cold cereal instead. The coffee was not fresh brewed, just an automated machine where you press buttons to dispense either decaf or caffeinated. Prefer fresh brewed quality coffee. No half and half -just artificial creamer.
