Didn't even get to use the pool, it was filthy and crowded with what was apparently children (or other relatives of) the staff working there. "breakfast" was a joke. The rooms were grungy and it was a sketchy area. This hotel attracted some really sketchy folks staying there as well. We stayed at a close by hotel a while back and it was nothing like this. There was an event going on in town so rooms options were limited. Will not be going again.

This place was amazing. Smelled clean and fresh from the moment you walk in. Everyone was very helpful. And the pool was amazing. Only stayed one night because my husband was working in Birmingham but definitely will be back.

The entire Hotel smells of Mold being covered over with commercial deodorizer. We had dinner after checking in and talk about the state of affairs. We checked into a Motel6 after dinner and checked out and recovered our luggage from the Quality Inn. Sad when the Motel 6 is an upgrade.

It was a good stay. They set us up in a handicap accessible room. Overall the room was fine. However the room was a little cramped. Hard for movement with a walker. If we had to use a wheelchair, it would have been impossible.

The room we stayed in the Wi-Fi did not work that good. There was only 3 movie channels to watch last time about a month ago we had more channels and better wi-fi not sure if it was because of room location being on bottom floor. Just have to remember not to get that room again

The staff were nice and the room was clean. I've stayed in this hotel approx 4 times over the last 2-3 yrs and the only complaint I ever have, and should have brought this up sooner, is the pillows. They flatten and for me, that makes for a miserable night. My brother had the same complaint. Upgrade the pillows and I'll be happy to stay there during every trhip to B,ham.

Two night stay for baseball tournament. Staff was nice and very helpful. Rooms were not as nice as pictures on website. Very outdated and needs to be updated. Beds hard as a rock. Shower would not drain and made tub feel grimy. Pool was packed the whole time. Smelt like ALOT of chlorine. Breakfast was not accessible due to so many people in a small area and not enough seating and ten people in line for one waffles maker. Overall 5/10

The room, bathroom, check in were all fine. We even enjoyed the waffles at breakfast but there were 2 things. 1) The beds were horrible!!! My God, it was so hard and flat, we all slept horribly. We originally booked for 2 nights but after that first night we cancelled the second night and were charged an early cancelation fee. Whatever, fine....we were just ready to get out of there. 2) I dont know if there is just no insulation or what but the room above us was ridiculously loud. We finally called the front desk and within minutes it was quiet so i applaud them for taking care of that.

We arrived late on our way to Charleston, S.C. from Texas to join my Vietnam army veterans' reunion. The late night desk clerk was friendly and courteous. The room was clean, and the shower water pressure was the best I've encountered when traveling. The only problem was the window shade in our room was too thin to block the parking lot lights which illuminated our room, making it somewhat difficult to fall asleep. All appliances worked and the frig was large enough for us to store restaurant leftovers. Breakfast items included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, waffles, bagels, fruit juices, yogurt plus and a coffee machine that offered mild, average or strongly brewed coffee. All the staff we encountered were friendly and polite. We made plans to stay here again on our return trip to Texas. We recommend this hotel to others.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We were concerned about all of the noise from the busy highway it located on. But in our rooms we never heard any traffic, we were also towards the back of the building. The children loved the pool! For a hotel the shower was very nice, the pressure was excellent and they had plenty of hot water. The bad part of the shower was it was a walk in so the floor got soaked every time you used it. The beds were a little high off the floor but once you got in they were very comfortable. We had a tornado watch during our stay, therefore everyone was in their rooms and the wifi couldn't support all the usage. Other than that we didn't have any wifi issues. They had a nice selection for breakfast, but you had to get there early or there wasn't enough seats. Overall it's a clean, and nice place to stay. If we're ever in the area we plan on staying there again.

The stay was fine. I had to give a cash deposit. When I checked out, they could not find my cash. I was told that the management had to come to the hotel to review video of the front desk to see where it is at. It made me feel like they thought I stole the money. I had to call the local police to come help rectify the situation. I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel nor will I ever stay at a quality inn again.

They allowed kids in the room above to run and jump and stomp till after midnight. Went to the front desk 2 times to have them if they could please stop. They did not go and try to stop it. At 5 am it started all over again until I had to go up and try to get them to stop. Worse night I have had in any hotel in over 40 years.

I mistakenly booked the wrong date for my stay and noticed it immediately after. I called and he hotel directly and they said I had to change it through Orbitz. I tried changing the date online on Orbit and was told it cannot be done online. I searched for a telephone number for Orbitz customer service but could only found an online chat. On the chat I was told by Orbitz that the reservation could not be changed per rules of the hotel but they would call the hotel directly to see what they can they could do. Orbitz was told by the hotel that if I rebook the correct dates they would refund the incorrect one. I did but was then told I rebooked a refundable reservation but the original incorrect reservation was non refundable so they would wait until I check in with the new non refundable reservation before refunding the incorrect reservation. I checked in and now have been told the hotel will not refund the original incorrect reservation so I end up paying for two reservations but only using one.

I arrived at 7pm and was given a room key number 210. When I went up stairs the room was occupied. I went back downstairs and told the clerk and she did apologize and gave me room number 204. Then an hour later the help was telling me I had to move to 211. I went back downstairs and talked to the clerk and the help was suppose to go to 304 to move them to 211. I also got a call while in my room asking my name to confirm I was in 204. I am not sure what your procedures are. But giving me a key to an occupied room, they were not in the room but the tv was on their luggage was in the room and their bathroom bag was on the sink. Thank god I didn’t get shot. This is totally unacceptable. I will say I was worried all night after all the above. I out the chair up against the door and did not sleep well at all. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

I came here for business purposes and the front desk wasn’t helpful at all, especially the Middle Eastern guy who was there with the bob length hair. I asked for a receipt that I needed for work and he told me that he couldn’t print it out, which is something I’ve never experienced at any hotel. The cleanliness is very sub par and the rooms smelled old. The AC changed its temperature on its own so yea, if you can afford to book elsewhere, DO IT! I will not be returning to this hotel and I hope my review helps someone because yes, I’m sure there are other hotels who will offer WAY more for you than this one. Only book here if it’s a last resort and you cannot afford to go elsewhere.

Although arrangements were confirmed in advance and they had all my information they couldn't find my reservation. also, we had asked for extra pillows (medical issues) they did not have them. the front desk was empty for mor than 20minutes and the person came in the front door carrying her food.

I didn't like the fact that I paid for 2 days and went to doctor on day two and couldn't get in my room because the keys wouldn't work!!! Also I got there after 3 and still couldn't get checked in because they were changing shifts

Nice hotel on south side of town. Sets back off the road so no major road noise is its best asset. Rooms are in good overall condition, service was up to Quality Inn standards. Breakfast was only two choices of cereal and waffles which was its weakest point. Told office to replace TV remote.

Staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. Room was small but clean. Pool was indoors so that would be convenient for kids. Didn’t eat the breakfast but it was busy. Location was great - Chick-fil-a right in front of hotel as well as a gas station. Very short drive to other restaurants, shopping mall, Walmart and Target.

I was very pleased with this property all the staff was friendly made sure all our needs were met they went over and beyond making our stay worth every penny we spent and I will be booking with them again in the near future. Even the maintenance man was very friendly and and pleasant to talk to whenever he would take a break I enjoyed talking to Ashton he was very nice and polite. I was very pleased with our stay here we stayed for a week. The only thing was the hotel is back off the highway and it was awkward to get into it but that is the transportations doings not the hotel but once we knew what way was easiest to get into the property it was not a problem. There was plenty of dining choices and stores close actually more than you could imagine and traffic was more than you can imagine too but the stay here was worth the price. Thank you to all the staff that went over above and beyond their call of duty. I rate you a 5star plus another 5 if I could Thank you Quality Inn And Suites in Birmingham. The property was very clean and smelled Fresh throughout the building, also it's prime location made it easy for dining and shopping for whatever you were looking for, as well as easy acces for pickup from Lyft/Uber etc.

This hotel was near everything. Different restaurants. Starbucks. Walmart. Publix. Wholes food. Movie theater. And about 20 minutes away from the cocola amphitheater. I love how convenient everything was. I will definitely book again.

This hotel looks great on paper, but is surrounded by sketchyness. We arrived around 8:00 PM and there were multiple cars idling in the parking lot with people in them for no apparent reason. The entire first floor common-area smelled like weed. As I walked into the reception area a person walked out to meet a cop that pulled into the parking lot behind us to report some sort of event that had just happened on the property. Based on my limited observations of the clientele, the hotel appeared to be a preferred choice for transient workers. With all that being said, the staff were friendly and reasonable, and the facility wasn't horrifically derelict or unclean. Maybe I just stayed there on a weird night, but I wouldn't stay there again. Spend $15.00 more for a better place,,, there's plenty of other options in that area.

The staff seemed to have a hard time working the front desk terminal for check in. They were nice though. After getting into our room, our toilet would not flush. We asked the front desk to fix as we would be gone for 5 hours. When we returned, toilet was in same condition. Had to ask for Plunger, and plunge it myself. Building only had one plunger. All the breakfast items had a weird taste to them, like maybe the dishes they were made in weren't clean. Eggs tasted like powdered salt. Waffle tasted like the cast iron it was made in.

This place is a gem for the price we paid. The king bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. My only complaint was the requirement to pay a $100 security deposit, which was returned the next morning because we happened to have enough cash; otherwise, we'd have to use our credit card and wait days (a week?) for the charges to be reversed.
