Baymont by Wyndham Columbus/Rickenbacker

Pool was cold. Not heated. Construction happening. Loud in the morning and previous afternoon. Breakfast was all microwaved/ frozen stuff. Ran out of milk. Room had hair on bathtub and urine on toilet seat. I cleaned myself. Damage to bathroom door and paint peeling on ceiling above bathtub. No screen on window.

The place is in very poor condition wallpaper pealing in shower, windows fogged over, doors don’t lock, elevator didn’t work had to go 3 flights of stairs, washing machine broken, chairs and lights in the room broken or not working, hooks on the bathroom door missing, no comforter on the bed a sheet over the top of the blanket. Just overall poor condition. Chips out of tub, no plug, cigarette burn on tub, toilet seat had chips out of it. I will not be staying in a Baymont anymore! Thx

Tail is now under construction there’s heavy equipment all over the yard and the parking area making it difficult to park. The restaurant/bar is closed. They charge $100 deposit that nobody says anything about and the front desk has an attitude with everybody that walks in would not recommend.

Didn't know this place is not near restaurants. Its near the airport and in a warehouse area. Exterior door locks are missing. Floors in the hall and rooms creek and feel spongy.

Front door wasn't working when arriving took about 20 mins to get in then the elevator was done the majority of the stay

Very friendly staff. Nice pool. Breakfast very minimal………could be better.

Needs some updating such as new faucets, couches, shower head and faucet. Would not give us a blanket so we had to buy some. The pool area was very nice!

Hotel is in the middle of an industrial complex. If you are looking for something close/easily accessible to Columbus, this is not it. The rooms are dirty, outdated, and in ill repair. The pool was nice, but the area around the pool was dirty and in ill repair. The staff was very nice and accomodating. There are many doors, but you can only enter through the lobby door, which tells me that the area is not safe. You are not told at the front desk upon check in that you must enter only through the lobby door.

Wall paper peeling. Baseboard falling off. The shower curtain fell while in the shower. Had hinges broke on furniture. Sketchy elevators. Old beds with practically no comforters. Security doors on the outside of the building dont even lock. Anyone can just walk in the place. Turn on the air conditioning and it smells like mildew. The place just has a weird odor all together. The parking lot has a shipping container in it. And of coarse the many pallets of tiolets sitting outside. Yes tiolets. The breakfast was terrible. The had one mini sausage biscuit that was hard and cold. Straight out of a walmart package. They had 5 mini muffins that were okay but still from walmart. And a nice dish of old gravy that looked like cat food. And a foreign guy sitting on his phone not stocking it with anything. Want to check out after your visit...Was told by the same guy that was supposed to keep the breakfast stocked to "throw your key on the counter they will get it". Place is an absolute dump.... What happened Wyndham.

They had roaches and I wasn’t able to get a refund or transferred to a different hotel. Bad experience, never again

The room was terrible. There were cracks in the wall, paint peeling, the carpet was torn, the bathroom shower head had black mold. The phone jack wasn’t attached to the wall just hanging. This was the WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed in. IHG should close this hotel down.

The room was filthy. There was food stuck to the phone. The floor had candy that was never vacuumed. Mold around the hot tub some detect was half way off the ceiling. And more. Very dissatisfied

The room conditions itself were awful. The room was so old and smelled. The shower was clogged and the bathroom wouldn't flush. I would not recommend, unless you're used to those types of conditions. But the rates are definitely not worth the stay.

When my fiancé and I first arrived for our reservations they had construction in the parking lot and one drive way blocked making it hard to access the hotel. Then the guy working the counter asked for id and credit card. He was very short and never clarified why he needed my card and provided no receipt. When we got into our room the lights barely worked and the carpet surrounding the jacuzzi was falling off. We brushed off cause we just were there to sleep but fast forward to 1:30 am we’re both woken up with bite marks of three and extremely itchy due to bed bugs! We immediately check out and ask for a refund and we were just told they don’t have bugs and a manager will call us in the morning. So we drove 3 in a half hours home and never got a call. So I call to talk to the manager who is very rude saying they can’t refund me because they can’t prove they have beg bugs and to call corporate. So I call corporate and that they’re not in charge with it since it’s an individually owned franchise. And to contact the owner. Overall an absolute horrible experience and a waste of $250.

Checked in got the key and went to the room to find it was a dirty room so then we go down they move us to a different room that has roaches

Found a roach in my room, and the top lock on my door was broken. The bathtub didn’t drain, overall not clean.

This place is run down, my room had holes in the wall with chunks of plaster on the floor. The lamp in the room had no bulb and not plugged in. The room smelled moldy and dirty. Way over priced at $100 for the condition of this hotel.

nice quiet was able to get rest i needed on my trip

I always stay at Wyndham properties when I travel. This was one of the worst. The room was noisy. I could hear the people next door talking. The arm chair looked frayed and dirty. The bed was comfortable though. The AC worked.. BUT the breakfast was horrific. A bagged breakfast with a granola bar, a twinkie, a banana, water and fake OJ.. Wyndham usually always has a decent breakfast. I'll choose somewhere else next trip

The door to every other room on the floor was opened and they were very obviously being renovated. It appeared we were in the only room on the second floor that they had not yet torn apart for renovation. It was very run down (flickering lights, pictures off of walls, beds sloppily made, paint peeling on walls and ceiling.

Hotel is very rickety. All of the doors creak as well as the floors, the lights in our hotel room flash mutliple times before turning on, weird smell of smoke in the hallways, also the air conditioning halfway works, and the walls are paper thin.

The room AC and heater worked great. Plenty of hot water in the shower and at the sink. I rarely heard anyone in the hallway, and I was far enough away from the elevator that I couldn't hear it opening and closing. My only problem was the in-room coffee maker didn't work. It would heat the water, but instead of pushing it through the filter to the cup it would bubble out the sides of the lid.

Needs remodeled, thread bare carpets in hallways, wallpaper coming off the walls

The drain in the bathtub drained slow. There was a rip in the chair. One of the lights didn’t work and the tvs color was going out. The other times I’ve stayed at this location my rooms were always good

The wallpaper was pealing off the wall, shower leaked, half the lights didn’t work, a/c did not cool, stains on the bed, furniture was all damaged, and overall felt unsafe!

We got the king suite with a jacuzzi. The hot tub worked and was great. However you cant get any delivery for food nearby. The room was kinda rough (paint peeling, fire alarm missing). You could hear the pipes from the next room super loud. Our bed was actually a full, not the king we paid for. And the "complimentary breakfast" is a to go bag with a twinkie and a granola bar. All in all would not stay here again.

The manager was a professional who went extra miles ditch our room from one bed to two beds. I made a mistake upon booking. PEM gave us a Stella Service and welcomed us genuinely. PEM’s hospitality made our stay smooth and comfortable! PEM deserves a promotion and a recognition. He is an educated and a professional man. Thank you, sir! I am 75 years old. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in ever. Arrived 2 AM. Back door of building broken swinging wide open. Huge whole in carpet as we entered room 112. Big patched wall in living space. 2 of 4 lamps did not work. Huge stain on sofa. Staff Wes rude and unresponsive. Has booked 2 nights, left at 8 AM after 6 hours. Expedia had it as 3 1/2 stars out of 5!

Staff was great. Under renovation so not as much space in lobby as it should have, but they were trying to make it work.

Very unfriendly very unprofessional, not updated in forever and not accommodating in any way. Could not check in at 3:55pm. “4pm is check in”. Not exaggerating!!! Breakfast was a brown bag with brown banana and fruit cup with no spoon and other lame items. Shocking that Wyndham allows this place to use their name. I will question them all now.

The room we were in should have never been rented out in this appalling state. ​Management Knew and Failed to Act ​The issues began with a noticeable, foul smell of mold and mildew the moment we walked in. The management clearly knew about this health hazard, as there were multiple air fresheners hanging throughout the room in a pathetic attempt to mask the odor instead of addressing the source of the contamination. ​We contacted the front desk in the evening and spoke to an attendant who promised to speak with the manager about switching our room or providing a solution. No one ever came to our room, called us, or followed up with any options whatsoever. This confirmed the hotel's complete lack of care and disrespect for guest safety. ​Unsanitary and Damaged Room Conditions ​The physical condition of the room was just as horrifying: ​Flooded, Contaminated Showers: The shower curtain rod was half-ripped off the wall, creating an approximately two-foot gap. Worse, the tub did not drain at all. Every time we showered, the filthy water, mixed with visible residue from the previous guest (on the tub floor/walls), rose up over our feet. We checked in and looked at our room. Al All was fair. We went out to eat and when we returned we were exhausted from our day, looking forward to getting settled. We carried our belongings up to our room only to find someone had all of their belongings in the room in my name. The door was propped open, evidence that someone had showered, and smelling like marijuana, not a soul in sight. The front desk clerk and security inspected the situation and had no answers. My money was refunded as I was not going to stay in a place that I couldn't count on being safe and secure!

Beds where very comfortable and very quiet!! Staff was very friendly and always smiling 😃!

Absolutely horrible...completely run down and needs a whole lot of work. I will never waste my money again staying here. Got charged $10 for a "damaged" towel...and it had to be cash. I used the towel to clean up a spill so a wash would have all it needed. But the attitude from the extremely rude hotel staff made it clear they would find any reason to keep the $100cash deposit . Went to the car at one point and there was a massive water leak coming from the top floor in the staircase. Unless it was a newly installed indoor waterfall, I am assuming that meant major damage. Half of the light switches in my room didn't work and the shower drained so slowly that I was standing in a foot of water by the end of my shower.

Area around the property is unkept. Nothing is really close to the hotel.

Property is definitely dated, but it was in a safe quiet area and was passably clean. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. For the price it was just right for a quick overnight. I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay.

This is my 3rd time staying here so it’s safe to say, i like it. It’s comfortable. Easy check in process. Affordable. This trip was the first time I’d ever been in a jacuzzi suite and I highly recommend. Very relaxing, spacious room. I have no complaints. It’s out of the way and may take a little longer to drive places, but it’s definitely worth it. There are a few gas stations and fast food places 5 minutes away though.

Its close to the airport.....that is very convenient. It would be nice if they had some type of transport to the airport. Good service. 👍

Easy to get to

This property wasn’t bad at all. It’s a get what you pay for type of thing but not bad at all. We booked a jacuzzi room and it was nice. I just wish the jets weren’t on a timer and you have to get out to adjust it back. Otherwise it’s like talking a bath with no suds. First floor amenities work only and the pool seem decent too swim. I’m the middle of nowhere right by the airport but it’s quiet. Would stay again if looking for something reasonable

They charge $25 if you wish to take the free mediocre breakfast to your room to eat in comfort and privacy.

It was okay. The room was comfy. Wasn't impressed with the breakfast. Coffee pot in the room was hard to use.

Property condition and cleanliness have improved in the last 2-3 years. Still using "grab & go" bags (initiated during COVID) as a poor excuse to claim they provide "breakfast". Pricing has increased more than quality would justify.

The place smelt like weed really bad which o don’t care, but I had my daughter with me and she was commenting about it . Rooms weren’t clean and the hot breakfast was oversold . It is a continental breakfast with a waffle iron.

The overall stay was good but the breakfast was horrible. There was not many options for the guest, some guest came down and saw what they were serving and turned around and left. There could have been a waffle iron or even eggs. Also what's the deal with charging someone to take food to their room(NOT COOL) that needs to be change. This facility is not hurting where they have to charge people for nonsense things. What if someone has a child under 2 that is still asleep; are they going to have to wake them up just to bring them for breakfast? Do better!!!
