Good location for UK football game. Like the older hotel vibe except for the tiny bathroom sink area. Restaurant food and fun music and vibe post game.

We were woke up at 6:30 am by the football team that was staying there, having morning drills indoors. Music and loud talking on the morning we could sleep in. Then that evening they hosted a wedding there. We needed to be up early the following day so tried to get to bed at 9. The music was crazy loud so I went down to speak to the front desk. They said they should be wrapping up soon. The music was still blaring in our room at ten. Great music, seemed like a great DJ to be honest lol, but we needed to get to sleep. Our room was 1022, directly across from a hallway opening to reception. At some point after 10 I went back to the front desk and by that point I was pissed. They said, again they would take care of it. They did not. It was 10:40 when my husband then got up to at least shut the door openings to reception. Needless to say we were not happy. It was our 4th time staying there and we will NEVER be back. Terrible experience. To top it off, huge wolf spider in our bathroom as we were trying to leave. We should never have been put in a room beside their events they were hosting. And, we obviously were not important compared to their events.

Hotel looks great from the lobby and front. But once you walk to your room, you will discover that this is actually an old motel that has some nice paint and furniture. Carpet is old and bathrooms are old with some updates, but limited space. No mini fridge in rooms. Definitely “lipstick on a pig”. I expected more from a Hilton Curio property.

We enjoyed our stay at The Campbell House. It’s a beautiful hotel with lots of character and a great atmosphere. The rooms are quite spacious and the beds were excellent, very comfortable and perfect after a long day on the road. The rooms themselves could probably use a little updating and felt slightly worn, but overall they were comfortable and had everything we needed. A very pleasant stay and a good base for exploring Lexington and the blue grass!

They seem very short staffed. The tavern was super busy. I tried to eat dinner and finally just went back to my room as I didn’t get waited on but lunch was very good. The rooms are very nicely decorated and roomy but I noticed that the bath tub plug was broken so I couldn’t have a bath and there is no refrigerator in the room nor ice machines so you have to ask for ice from the restaurant. The room smelt very musty.
