Checked in late, booked an oversized king bed and was told “I have a room with 2 queens is that ok”? I booked a king but do I have a choice?. So, got to the room and it was of a parking garage construction! Went to the front desk the next morning and was switched to a different room. Also, looked for the pool that is shown in photos and there is no pool. Overall it’s a fantastic hotel just disappointing to not get the bed or room I paid over $200 a night for.

Massive hotel, but only one elevator. It’s easy to get lost. Very quiet, which we loved. Front desk staff was polite if a bit chilly. Delaney was the standout for service in the restaurant, and the food was good. Also found it odd that the rooms did not have a mini fridge. Otherwise, a nice stay.

Great place with a bar and a late checkout. Minus the .dumb paid parking (only because its the only place to park and they have their own lot). If you're charging $12 update your porch planters. Dead Christmas in summer ruins the vibe of the otherwise cool hotel.

Ok, so we needed a place close to Rupp Arena so my wife and daughter could get to see Olivia Rodrigo. It was close enough to the airport and town, and it looked like a great place. But when we got there we realized how hip it really was. It was filled with Livi fans, but we got a seat at the Rackhouse right away. The food was incredible. The wait staff and hotel employees were great. The place has a chill but happening vibe. Not to mention a killer bourbon list at the bar, with a knowledgeable super cool bartender. Definitely would come back to the Cambell House again.

I was surprised at a $15 per night parking charge and $3 bottle of water, but sought water elsewhere and suggested the property simply add to the room cost without mentioning a parking fee. Our room looked dated and needed some freshening (lighter paint, baseboard scrub, fixing the chip in the tub). The beds were marvelous -- very comfy. The best part was the restaurant -- it was great! The food was ample and delicious, and the server was prompt and courteous. On the second night of our stay, we sat at the bar to sample one of Kentucky's bourbons. Our barkeep, Delaney, was quite knowledgeable and helped each of us choose an amber that suited our taste. Overall, our stay was quite nice.

Beautiful hotel. Carpet in the hall is screaming for some loving care. Restaurant was pricy but the food and service were great. That’s where it ends….The front desk gentleman was horrible. There was literally no parking spaces, when I asked for assistance I got nothing but rudeness with the only suggestion given to me was to park in the grass. He said that there was wedding party and he can’t help me and for me to voice my complaints with the manager in the morning. Saying this without once looking up from his phone, can only assume that his game is was playing was more important than helping a paying guest. WI-FI was terrible. Sadly, I will never book there again and will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The carpets are in need of a deep clean throughout the entire property. We did a lot of walking around and the only carpets that seems clean were around the ballroom area. The website says they have a pool and I heard several guests asking where it was but they didn’t have one. There is very little storage in and around the bathroom. The small sink is outside the bathroom, which is fine and actually more convenient but there was so shelf or table to even put a toothbrush on and the design of the sink didn’t allow anything to be set on the sides. So some kind of storage for bathroom stuff would be nice. Also there is no mini fridge or microwave in the room and there would be plenty of space for one. Staff was great and the hotel we very quite. Just needs a good carpet clean.

Dinner was very good at the property. Really enjoyed the tavern. Lots of conference space. Really would have like to have a pool. So we would have something to do there.

Booked in full with a gift card through hotels.com and my card was authorized for the full amount by the hotel. After calling multiple times, it was not resolved. The front desk was very rude and unhelpful regarding the situation. The hotel itself is in need of major upgrading. The lobby fools you into thinking it’s a 4 star hotel, but when you get to the room you’re mistaken. The rugs were musty and dingy. The bathroom had cracks in the tiles and the sink was coming off of the wall. Not what I expected from a Hilton. The breakfast area is great, but so overpriced.

Hotel needs lots of work. Carpet dirty, bathroom no fan and needs updating. Not hotel fault but other guest were slamming doors & loud in the middle of the night. The lobby was nice and staff very nice! Not sure we would stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

The outside area around entry doors were unkept, large “nests” of spider webs with bugs suspended from them. Our bathroom tub had a small pool of what looked like blood in it. We threw a towel over it and did not use it during our overnight stay. The room was huge but the bathroom small, so small that the bathroom door opened into the toilet.

Staff was amazing. Our rooms happened to be right behind the bar and one night a group of guests was being exceptionally loud at the bar. Not the fault of the hotel-they got it under control-but if you want to ensure a quiet room you might ask to not be put in the hall behind the bar/restaurant. Room was small and dark w a tiny bathrooom, but very clean. I would stay again.

The Campbell House was very nice. The staff was helpful and very courteous. The rooms were clean and the only issue i had was the WI-FI did not work in our room. Other than that the hotel is very nicely placed to all the activities in and around the area. We enjoyed our 7 days there and will stay again

Room was a little smaller than expected. But suggest complaint is lack of lighting and fan in the room. Only lights by came from window and lamp. There was also no ceiling fan an the AC unit would only run for 2-3 min at a time and blow freezing cold air and then turn off for the next 30 min in which time the room with then become a sauna. Location of hotel made me rate this 4 stars. Walking distance to Railbird fest was a huge plus. Hotel restaurant was good as well! Staff were all very friendly.

We booked The Keeneland Suite- It included a large living & dining room area, king bed, master bath + spare 1/2 bath and plenty of walk in closet space. Would’ve given 5 stars but … they had recently updated the shower doors and they got stuck when closed. The wife almost panicked stuck in the shower!

Overall, it was acceptable. Good location. However, needs better lighting in the rooms, elevators reek of smoke, rooms should have small refrigerators, blow dryer was sticky/old/smelled, walls extremely thin and awoken multiple times by children running hallways, the neighbors alarm clock, neighbors showering, outside traffic.

The entrance takes your breath away. Everyone of the staff was so friendly. We enjoyed the patio area before eating at the Rackhouse. It was so pleasant to enjoy the evening. The drinks and meal were amazing. We had the staff come to us after the meal because I had dropped $100 but had not realized it. Unbelievable that the were so honest. We will be back. What a great place to stay

We booked 2 queen or double beds and the have us one king bed. They said it was their choice but I didn’t book it where it was their choice I booked 2 beds. They didn’t care. It was just really how matter of a fact attitude it was there was no customer service at all. It wasn’t like unfortunately we have to put you in king bed room. It was that’s the way it is. We pick end of store. I travel constantly and this was just poor in a place that was nice it was a manager too.

Check was good. Friendly staff. Went to bar to get coffee and tea. Bartender didn’t want to wait on me. Waited 10 minutes before acknowledged and then when I ordered she said no coffee and snarled at the tea. Took order and then waited on more tables fixing them drinks but not mine. I walked off empty handed. The rooms weren’t great. Fan in bathroom never worked. Property rated a 4 star but there wasn’t anything to make this above a 2 star. Overpriced motel and not a hotel. I would not stay here again.

The location of the Campbell house is perfect for a Keeneland week-end! Two front desk representatives that went above and beyond to help us were Brooklyn and Theresa. We needed our rooms changed to larger ones, parking passes printed off and refrigerators added to all 3 rooms. They responded with kindness and everything that they promised came to fruition. The hotel was sold out during our stay and that is why I find their willingness to truly give us what we asked for even more amazing. Susie in the coffee/light breakfast shop was a one man show and she was amazing. All smiles and efficient service for ONE person. Landon in the breakfast restaurant was also attentive and kind. The hotel rooms were adequate once we upgraded to the oversized king. It made the bathrooms larger. Would have loved a non pedestal sink but I am sure they will get there. I recommend the Campbell House because of the staff which certainly reflects on the general manager no doubt. They served with excellence.

This hotel suited our needs for one night. Beds were comfortable and the food at The Rackhouse was excellent. I am a bit put off by the lack of transparency and customer service. I booked through Expedia and understand that miscommunication can occur. I paid a bit more on Expedia for breakfast to be included. However, when checking in, the front desk associate disagreed. The associate offered no explanation or assistance. I contacted Expedia who quickly solved the problem and we were able to receive our vouchers. Once we got home, I noticed an additional $12 parking fee added to my statement. The hotel never mentioned this fee when checking in; I was simply given a pass for my car. Both of these are easy fixes- get the rate right with the third party vendor (simply remove breakfast as an option when booking) and be up front about the parking charge when checking in.

A high-end, classy property that would be an excellent conference hotel. The biggest issue was the traffic surrounding the property which made it difficult to access and to leave the property. Beds and rooms were nice and spacious.

Overall we had a pleasant time here. We were in town for a concert at Rupp. It is conveniently located to anything you want/need in Alex. You can tell it’s an older hotel that’s been updated to a more pleasing aesthetic, which was well done. Our room was pretty clean, with the exception of the duvet cover in the bed. You could see I cleaned make up stains/contact on the edges of the duvet. The carpets could use a good steam clean though.

Was a good stay. Im not sure that it was worth the price a paid. The restaurant and bar were not very good and times they were open seemed off. Breakfast food was average at best. Room was pretty good bed was comfy, large TV, clean linens were clean. Overall good stay.
