Residence Inn by Marriott Rochester West Greece

This residence Inn has excellent management. Very clean. Excellent exercise room/gym. Excellent not Management/Front Desk personnel.

Property was very clean. The staff was very friendly as well. We stayed here for easter long weekend and took the kids to the Strong Mudeum of Play which was about a 10-15min drive from the hotel. The hotel was very convenient as its right off the highway. Tons of food options outside within a 5min drive. Olive Garden was beside the hotel and you can literally walk there and order food. Pool was great for the kids but hot tub wasnt working during our stay. No big deal. The rooms were very clean and well kept. You can tell there is a bit of age from the hallways but staff kept it overall clean. Everybody was so friendly here and we loved how it included FREE breakfast every morning. Id stay here again.

I booked a room on a cold NY Friday night for my children to be able to enjoy the pool and hot tub. I arrived at around 8pm. As we arrived to the pool area there was a very strong odor of chemicals and it was very hot. We were not in the pool for more than 5 minutes when a woman fainted in the pool and we were then asked to leave as the pool was being closed as well as the hot tub. When I asked the staff why we had to leave they stated there were far too many chemicals and this was not the first person who fainted. Not only was it unsafe but the only reason I booked the hotel was for the pool and I called ahead of time to confirm it was open to only get there and not be able to use it. My kids were so sad.

Great pool/hot tub and room was a good size. Only a 10 min drive to museum of play. Good spot for families

Good Day the my stay at Residence Inn Marriott in Greece NY was okay but the elevators not working was an inconvience, transporting luggage up 3 flight of stairs took a toll on my back.Thanks again Flora Sutton.

Hot tub was nice

We were several family members (21 in total) venturing to Rochester, New York for a Christmas Gift experience, visiting the Strong Museum. We came by car from Canada to spend the weekend together and enjoy what we hoped, would be a memorable moment. The Strong Museum was amazing! I recommend you go if you get the chance. The Residence Inn by Marriot, unfortunately did not hit the spot. Desk personnel were extremely unprofessional and lacking in every way. We had to request and remind them that bed linen was not provided for the pull-out couch, and that plastic covers on the mattress had not been removed. Nice that they were new, but really was that our job? They didn't even bring the linen to our rooms. We had to carry 6 room loads of linens through the hallway by ourselves. There was no restaurant....even though the website specifically says there was. Rooms were spacious and newly renovated, but it didn't make up for the next big disappointment, which was the pool. Upon entering the pool area, there was a heavy chemical intoxication. The chlorine hit you and before long, (and I mean within 10 minutes), your eyes were stinging and you felt like you were going to cough up a lung. We advised the staff, who basically looked at us like they had no idea what we were talking about. We mentioned it again the next day, and was advised that there had been only one other complaint, and that the chemical levels were fine. Staff is responsive when you come to the front desk. No noise complaints, enjoyed the pool and hot tub most!

We rented a room for the night to take our kids swimming. Another guest at the hotel invited all pf their family and friends to the hotel pool that were not actual guests of the hotel. It was chaos in the pool area and hotel staff did nothing to untervene. We ended up leaving the hotel. It was ridiculous.

The staff was professional and accommodating. Necessary to request adequate towels, bedding, pillows, etc. . The room was not clean ... crumbs in rollout bed and we were provided a vacuum to clean it. We had to clean a shower drain ourselves. Window was broken, refrigerator is dented, shower handle is loose ... for just being renovated, the room needs some TLC.

Studio king was roomy and clean with excellent privacy. Breakfast area was clean with server present and attentive. Front desk was friendly and efficient. Nice choice of restaurants in walking distance.

We were very pleased with our stay. Amenities were excellent and included a pool and hot tub as well as a free full breakfast in a very nice dining area. The hotel was convenient to many good restaurants and shops as well as the Kodak Center. Staff were very nice and our room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Staff was very good and friendly, however the room we got was not clean, had an odor, and ants on check out day. The hotel was also doing maintenance at 8am which caused a lot of noise and a bad odor throughout the entire 1st lvl.

What a lovely stay! Our room was much bigger than anticipated and exceptionally clean. The staff were helpful and breakfast was good! We’ll visit again!

We overall enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean, quiet, all the staff members we encountered were extremely friendly. Their system was down when we tried to check in, so that was slightly annoying when we'd been going all day long. It didn't take long to come back up though. When we got to our room is wreaked strongly of cigarette smoke. I was told they don't allow smoking indoors, so I don't blame them. It's the fault of the inconsiderate previous guest. However, when housekeeping cleaned the room before we arrived I feel like they should've noticed and said something to someone. Management moved us in a new room with ease and came to smell the cigarette room. New room smelled a lot better. We had to ask for sheets for the pull out couch, I would've thought they would have been supplied in the room already. One of the extra pillows stored away had what appeared to be dried blood on the case. The friendless of the staff definitely made up for all of the little inconveniences. The hotel is overall clean and very nice.

Instead of going out we should have brought food with us to prepare. The front desk gentleman on our arrival was very kind and informative. He offered us the idea of going across the street to Hooligans for dinner which was excellent. There was no outside noise and the pool area was great. The breakfast was certainly adequate with scramble eggs, turkey sausage, french bread sticks, oatmeal, muffins/bagels and cereal available. (No pancakes). When we come back to the Greece/Rochester area, I am going to book this motel versus the Holiday inn we had previously stayed.

The rooms were huge and beautiful

The room was spacious with a full kitchen allowing us to cook snacks to bring with us. The breakfast provided was nice and sufficiently supplied. Unfortunately, the sofa bed was in bad shape and did not come with bedding supplies. I had to walk to front desk to ask for it and only received a thin blanket with 2 sheets. The space between sofa bed and TV stand is minimal and very easy for us to bump into the hard metal exposed on all sides of the sofa bed. The toilet flushes really loudly, so does the glass shower door.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Quick and pleasant check-in and check-out experiences. Disappointed by the following: (a) no coffee/tea in lobby; (b) photos of room online did not match room in reality; (c) poor lighting in room and especially in bathroom area; and (d) surfaces and floor in room were not wiped off/vacuumed before we arrived. Breakfast was a nice inclusion but eggs were very wet each of the three mornings of our stay. The room looked modern but a little tired. If being super picky, there was no fan in the bathroom and the opening of the sliding shower door wasn’t very wide. I was able to fit in but this could pose a problem for some. Overall, a pleasant stay, but not likely to return. Would probably try the Fairfield next door at a lower cost.

Spacious suite with kitchenette. Very comfortable.

The room, space & bed comfort: great. Bathroom situation :NOT great. We ended up with an ADA suite with 2 bathrooms. The ADA shower bathroom leaked water all over bathroom floor = flooded entire bathroom floor. Our other bathroom in the sweet had a ver inefficient shower head that was not very functional. Also, the silicone on the shower door was VERY loud. Limited water pressure and the lack of use of our other shower delayed our getting ready. Pool was very nice :)👍 Good breakfast, also. Staff very pleasant.

Very professional and kind staff, they take pride in their work and it shows. The breakfast is also amazing, I highly recommend and plan on returning.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Went out of their way to accommodate! Would definitely recommend and go back again if ever in this area. The place was very clean and comfortable.

I had a hiccup convincing the night receptionist about my expedia reservation but finally was able to stay there for a night. Good location, new furniture, amenities & good breakfast.

The location of the hotel provides easy access to all of Rochester. The staff was friendly and courteous. Good breakfast. However, the facility sorely needs a makeover.

Easy to find, good location

Close to airport, studio is way to go and hit the grocery store. great place.

Only 15 minutes from all the downtown attractions. Having the kitchen in our room was super convenient.

This hotel is set back off the main road but only a stones throw away grom many restaurants! Since its set back off the road on a private drive it is extremely private and makes you feel safe. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and even gave me some recommendations on their favirite pizza shop to try in the area. Our suite was 1. Super affordable and 2. Absolutely huge! Perfect for me and my boys. We even have a small, fully stocked kitchen which was such a nice touch. We used the pull out bed as well as the main bed which was super easy to get out and ready. We took advantage of the pool area which was clean and stocked with towels each time we went. All in all a great stay for a great price!

I personally loved this hotel! The food in this area is great, very easy to walk to the restaurants in the area. It was clean in the room. Pool and Hot Tub are felt good to swim and relax in. Kitchenette is practical and easy. Lights work in here. I had much more privacy than others which is great because the last hotel only had one main room and a bathroom. If your looking for a good place to relax and have fun, I would recommend this hotel! 4 Stars.
