When we travel to Orange we like to stay at the motor lodge. It’s an ideal area being close to the main street. Walking distance to shopping. It’s a safe, quiet location, that is clean with great facilities. Easy parking, most undercover. Dining options next door and others close by. Location and parking were great. Our room was renovated and looked really nice but the shower water leaked underneath the shower screen so the bathroom was flooded and the sink didn't drain. On the saturday night drunk guests were making a lot of noise between 3-4.30am.

The air conditioning is positioned to blow straight up a corridor to the bathroom which vents permanently to the outside air. Also the bathroom light switch activates an exhaust noisy fan which cant be turned off. No problem in daylight but at night its a pest and sucks the warm air straight out of the room into the roof. Even with the aircon on all night the bed area was cold. No sideways vent control. Small issues were a pity as otherwise I would have rated 10 out of ten

Have stayed in the past when it was a full service motel. Was only notified the day before we were booked that the restaurant and breakfast were no longer available which was one of the main reason we chose them. We had also requested a ground floor room which was not given , apparently because we booked thru an agency or rooms only for bus groups ? Desk could not also explain how the house phones worked. We booked two rooms under common surnames at the same time but finished up in two different blocks. Was excellent in the past .
