Lovely relaxing location on the Arabian Sea. Staff were so hospitable and so friendly. We cannot say enough about the staff! We stayed in the Club Room section. Rooms were very nice and very clean and infinity pool and loungers were wonderful. We had a balcony overlooking the sea and were able to watch the fisherman diving in the morning. In the club section you also have access to an extra dining area in the cafe which was lovely. We adored the staff in there. The Leela was the perfect place to end our three week tour of India. 5 stars!

We had an excellent stay at the Leela and would recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone considering it for the future. It is one of very few if not the only, cliff side hotel in India overlooking the beach. Special shoutout to Neethu and Krishnadas at the front desk - for always having a smiling face and ensuring we were always comfortable. Any issues we had were swiftly resolved by the team. The hospitality was amazing and every need was catered to. Truly a 5* experience. The Leela had exceeded our expectations and we have not had the same level of care at any other hotel we had stayed at before and even afterwards. Spa services were very clean and massages were excellent. The team were patient with us when coordinating 5 synchronised sessions. Finally to the chefs; the care taken of thinking about so many dishes and lives stations throughout each and every day was very evident. We even saw the head chef teaching the group of younger chefs how to make specific dishes. We can’t wait to visit again in the future!

The Leela Kovalam is an excellent place to spend your time with family. Very nice location and very excellent ambiance having all five star amenities and infrastructure. The swimming pools are very very relaxing where family can enjoy the water. The private beach is outstanding to chill with seawater and scuba diving. The dinning is also outstanding with fabulous manu. The traditional Kerala dance show in the evening by both dancer was very beautiful. The sky bar gives good vibes during the stay. The restaurant staffs are very very professional. Special thanks to mater chef and his team for preparing nice food. Finally, special thanks to Miss Akansha for the surprise birthday cake and her professionalism, as we were there for my sons birthday.

It was a lovely stay at a very relaxing and welcoming property. The staff epitomized the gracious Keralan culture, attending to our every need. Don’t miss the spa (Favorite Kerala) on the property, and we also recommend arranging for the Poovar Backwater cruise through the hotel.

Our room overlooking the beach was OK. Shower could do with a good clean. There were a number of areas that need updating. Staff were very accommodating although breakfast was sometimes a bit chaotic as tables were not reset for more guests arriving. It is very much a corporate hotel with business events sometimes taking over areas of the hotel. On our last day the sunbed area by the beach was very restricted particularly in the afternoon for a corporate event later. Having a metal stake hammered into the ground about 5 feet from my sunbed did not create the relaxing vibe I expected!! I have alerted the hotel to my concerns but have yet to have a response.

A fabulous hotel with exceptional service. The staff are fantastic and go the extra mile to help with any needs. As the hotel is situated on a hill, people have to walk up/down fairly steep walkways or climb up/down lots of steps. The hotel does provide a buggy service to drive people around, but it would be helpful if hand rails were installed along the walkways for guests wishing to walk.

The experience was nothing short of fabulous. Ms. Sushmita at the front desk assisted us with a seamless checkin experience and explained about the facilities of the property along with the benefits of Leela DISCOVERY / GHA DISCOVERY membership. She also assisted in early checkin as we reached the property quite early and with extra time during checkout. She took care of my special request arranging for a small cake as it was my wife's birthday. The presentation of the cake was fabulous when it was delivered to our room. During our stay we tried the food (in room and dine in) from The Terrace restaurant and that too was fantastic. Interaction with Mr. Raj who assisted us with his excellent serving capabilities at the restaurant, is highly appreciated. Furthermore the interaction with Sous Chef Mr. Debnath was equally amazing and insightful to the say the least. Golf carts had lesser than 5 minutes waiting time throughout the property, which adds to the brilliant experience. The overall experience at The Leela Kovalam was fantastic and we'd love to revisit the property during our upcoming travel plans to Kovalam & Thiruvananthapuram. Kudos to the entire team at the property for showcasing hospitality that sets new standards for the industry to follow. Thank you very much for making our stay so memorable.

The property is excellent. You can sit in the balcony overlooking the sea and watch for hours waves hitting the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food is good but the cuisine is rather limited. House keeping needs improvement. Very friendly staff who are very service oriented

This was the first resort I have stayed in Kerala. The dining options were good. We were in the club section and the cafe was great. The room was nice, room service was good. Room was cleaned well every time. Got great massages at the spa as well

Beautiful sunset 180 degree views from both - top of the hill and from ground beach levels. Amazing Pan Asian restaurant - Tide on the beach front with live music is not to be missed.

The Leela Kovalam is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The hotel staff go over and beyond to make your stay and experience a very comfortable one. The dining experience is also fantastic where you get to savour local Kerala delicacies. This place is highly recommended whilst visiting Trivandrum.

Beautiful location and hotel, room staff was great but knocked on your door every day asking if you need anything. Room service messed up order but quickly fixed them. The service at the restaurant was below average because of the wait times and restaurant was empty. Cannot order different drinks at sky bar only set menu of 4 drinks, and could not get into the 2nd pool or restaurant because it was club access only. Spa was pretty but massages weren’t up to par. Transportation was easy and drivers friendly. Pools close by 8pm, did not allow drinks or food near it, and beach access was restricted for the week we stayed here. All the game rooms closed by 8:30pm also. I enjoyed my stay but do not think I’ll stay here again.

Stayed for 5 days and service and hotel were 1st class. Food was excellent and special mention to The Tides and in particular Amal who went above and beyond in providing a 1st class dining experience. Special mention too to Jobi and his team on the front desk. Nothing was too much trouble. Would not hesitate to recommend

We booked this hotel for our 2 families to stay for 4 days. Their bathroom doors are horrible and make bad noises my 9 month old was always getting up from sleep when someone went to bathroom. In bathroom flushing the water used to spill the water outside and fill the floor. We asked to change the blanket in our room and cleaning person didn't show up for 3 hours we needed to follow up with them and get it done. They had limited high chairs for kids and we needed to wait for our turn to feed our kid, high chairs were always busy they had only 2-3 high chairs. Their concierge is also not knowledgeable, He said that all beaches are closed but while driving one place we saw one beach opened , after inquiry we found our that Adimalathura beach was open but since he said it before we stopped all our plan to visit beach. Such an horrible experience in this hotel on premium price. Please don't choose this hotel, they are just money grabbing machines, They only show off good outside and inside all services are poor.

The Leela Kovalam is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The hotel staff go over and beyond to make your stay and experience a very comfortable one. Highly recommend staying here!! Pros- Service was top notch. Very clean. Staff was exceptionally polite and helpful. Cons- They need to have a few more dining options. The restaurants at the property are really good for breakfast/lunch/dinner but there are no great options for a quick snack. The property hosts events on the beachfront which can get pretty loud and limit the dining experience at the beach front restaurant/ nighttime walk on the beach.

The location, the food and service are top class. Would stay there again. So many choices of nutritious, healthy and tasty vegetarian food in every meal. Walk to the beach is a bonus. The staff are not being themselves when on the job; the customers and the upper management don’t seem to treat the hard working staff well; they are being treated like robots. This issue is not particular to this property but applicable to many other resorts.
