There are some grocery stores including an Asian food store in walking distsnce. Complimentary breakfast was good. Laundry facility where its payment also can be done with a smartphone is convenient. Unfortunately the elevator moves very slow.

The receptionist was nice but hope they can be more helpful when gave me the room. I was there when they have construction and I was supposed to have a virtual meeting, I asked for a quiet room they told me the room I was staying would not be affected but it was loud both days and the construction is literally the room next door.

I booked this place on reading some reviews on this property and honestly feel like I was bait and switched. The property is badly in need of updating. Everything is dingy. The flooring and carpeting in my room was dirty. Like ground-in over the years dirty. The walls scuffed and stained, the bathroom was dark. Not to mention 1 ply TP! The room had zero climate controls. Hope you like it stuffy and hot because you cant adjust it. Changing the thermostat did nothing, it\'s just for show. I tagged dangerous because the elevator has an expired safety certificate 2 years out of date and the ride does not feel safe at all. "Breakfast" is coffee, a piece of fruit and toast. I wasn\'t expecting the Ritz and I primarily booked it for location, but I would advise anyone to avoid this place.

Cute hotel, room was nice, beds comfortable. Elevator was broken for part of the stay, ice machine is on the ground floor so it was a trek down the stairs from the second. Breakfast was mediocre, cereal was mostly gone everytime we went down, within an hour of it starting it felt like things weren't stocked. Microwaveable Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, and a breakfast pita was your choice along with cereal and toast. Oj or milk, would have been nice for some bottled water or other juice. Maybe yogurt or hard boiled eggs, anything to more appeal to families. The mini fridge, sink and microwave combo in the main room was really nice and we used the heck out of it. Would stay again

Staff is great! Pictures do not match reality. If you stay here, bring slippers/shower shoes. The carpet, curtains, furniture is all really old and dam, plus heavily stained. All of the furniture was sticky, dented, chips falling off, otherwise dirty and uncomfortable. The bed linens did seem to be clean, but one of the bath towels was not so I just used one I trusted for the duration of my stay. Generally safe, but very noisy and could hear every footstep and bathroom break from upstairs.

Hotel room was very run down. Chunks of paint missing from walls and furniture, carpets edges frayed, door lock to the bathroom and obviously been ripped out and was broken but just half assed screws back in, dingy and stained sheets. Not good.

I booked this hotel as a 3 star but it turned out this hotel is maximum a 2.5 star. Room is small. Fridge is placed on the desk, rendering the desk useless. Carpet is rundown and needs replacement. Breakfast is a joke (bagel/toast/croissant only).

We stayed 2 night and first nights around 3:30 am upstairs made many noise we can heard the people walking and next day we went to San Francisco and back to sleep at 9 pm but nobody cleaning the room or changed the towels at all and my room tv not working.

We stayed for 6 nights. In the first room given to us, the flush didn't work. The lobby staff came and made it work, but she wasn't sure if it would not get stuck again. So we got another room. The rooms were not unclean per se, but wasn't very inviting, with low power lights. The elevator was super slow, with a cracked call button outside. We were not given any beverages as "vip" reservation via expedia. They have free breakfast, but just breads/bagels and tea/coffee - no eggs or vegetables. We asked for room service on the third morning. After the room service, one of our airpods went missing from the room (verified the last location as the room by icloud). We tried to ping it and checked all around the hotel and the car, but couldn't hear it. We asked the lobby to check for it in case it was carried away with bed sheets, etc. The lobby staff wrote that down, but said nothing turned up. We checked with them every day, but nothing came up. Finally the night before leaving, we tried to ping one last time and I heard the pings from outside the lobby! They had it and didn't bother to inform us! In fact, they had more than 1; first they gave us a different airpod. After going back to room, we realized that it is from some other room, and went back to get ours. This time after a few minutes of search (while I continued to ping), they found the right one. We checked out after another 4 hours. Overall we found the staff not very happy to help.

The room assigned to my wife and I was 20 feet from the front desk and the room next to us partied until 4am with no intervention from the hotel staff. There were multiple fights in the hallway with no intervention from the staff and they didn't call the police. Our room door lock didn't work so it was a nervous night with no sleep. The room carpet was sticky and disgusting. The shower didn't even work. The toilet seat lid was halfway off. The only redemption was that the bed was comfortable and the AC worked. Would never stay here again and I certainly would warn a loved one to not stay here either if they were to even consider it. Nothing about this place felt legit or safe.

Attended a concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre and then stayed at Hotel Vue for 1 night. Very convenient to the venue using Uber, and our room was very clean. Good value for the money. We would definitely stay again the next time we get concert tix for Shoreline!

A budget no frills hotel. 25 - 30 minute walk to Castro Street dining venues, short walk across El Camino Real to grocery stores and easy access to CA 85 freeway. Despite being on normally busy El Camino Real, surprising little traffic noise between 10 PM and 6 AM. A big plus Peet's Coffee available at 6 AM in Lobby.

The Hotel Vue is always great. I’ve been staying there since 2016. It is an excellent centralized location to Mountain View Caltrain and plenty of stores and restaurants.

Clean room, nice mid-century architecture outside is airy, uplifting. Hotel has been maintained well. Fantastic location, great parking (well-lit). Great for this category of hotel. I'll stay again.

I booked this hotel as a 3 star but it turned out this hotel is maximum a 2.5 star. Room is small. Fridge is placed on the desk, rendering the desk useless. Carpet is rundown and needs replacement. Breakfast is a joke (bagel/toast/croissant only).

The staff was friendly but the building and decor was very tired. The complimentary breakfast was terrible with only bread, bagels, coffee and tea.

The hotel offered a continental breakfast when I went there both days all that was available was bagels, croissants, and coffee. The lady went into the storage room and there was cereal so I asked do you guys offer cereal or anything else? She said yes I asked her why did you not put it out? This is my last Sunday, so I really don’t care! For two days, the breakfast was limited to one or two items. This is not what they offered.

Overall for it being renovated so it was it was good. Place was clean and overall amenities good. My leg was messed up and elevator not working had to walk up stairs. No hair blower in room but the front desk was fast to get me one and very little amount of food for breakfast. Again being renovated and the front desk guys was awesome. We stay this area a lot so next time I'll verify renovations are done & the food has been upgraded and everything is in working order before booking again. The front desk guy was awesome.

I've stayed here several times over the years. Now I hear the hotel has become part of the Marriott chain. Love the newly remodeled rooms. Overall, the place actually feels better than it did years ago. The breakfast is alright too. The only thing is I would like some more fruit options. Clean room with a friendly staff. I won't hesitate to stay again.
