Very central location. They have 3 floors but no elevator, so that’s something to keep in mind. The stay was comfortable for a short two days. No complains.

I had a lovely stay in the Hotel Fontaine for the DDay commemorations. Secure underground car park very close by, a stroll to several good restaurants and the beautiful chateau.

Room was nicely decorated and very clean. But it was very small. Also no lift a four storey building so if you on top floor like us a lot of stairs to climb. Breakfast was very poor and could be improved. No eggs or yoghurt. No fresh milk only long life milk. Car parking at €22 per day is a bit stiff. Admittedly hotel doesn't own car park. But i think hotel should try and make alternative arrangements for clients. The two brothers who run it are very nice and helpful.

A couple of days exploring the area, Caen made a good base. This is a comfortable b&b (breakfast is extra) parking in place de la république is easy and 3 mins walk. No lift which made it a bit of a hassle with our luggage and no one there to check us in but info was sent via email.

Staff was so rude in the check in. There is no lift and no warning beforehand. There is no parking available to carry suitcases easily. If you can find space there is one 5 mins walk distance and very expensive (€22 per day). Staff will say there is free parking after 7pm but you need to be very lucky to be able to find spaces. Sofa bed was horrible bed ever. It’s squeaky and I inclined down significantly. And pillows were like an inflated balloon, quite uncomfortable to sleep. There also is no control of heating. It’s cold at night and they didn’t turn on fully. Especially if you have a baby, think twice.

A really super hotel for a stay in central Caen. Clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. Everything is in easy reach and a wealth of places to eat and drink are very close by.

Accueil sympathique (anglais parlé couramment), propreté impeccable, douche et toilettes impeccables, gentillesse et renseignements sur les visites potentielles et les bons petits restaurants à proximité, petit-déjeuner copieux et varié. Hotel muito bem localizado em uma regiao bonita, cheia de restaurantes e lojas. Muito limpo, novo e o quarto bem espacoso. Atendimento gentil. O predio nao tem elevador, mas mesmo assim vale a estadia.

Hôtel idéalement situé en plein coeur de la ville. L’accueil a été très cordial. La chambre était joliment décorée et extrêmement propre. La mise à disposition de boissons gratuites est appréciable. Le petit-déjeuner sous forme de buffet est de qualité. Un hôtel à l’excellent rapport qualité/prix que je recommande sans hésitation.

Gérant sympathique et très serviable, chambre refaite récemment très propre avec une literie de bonne qualité, salle de bains petite mais très propre également. Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter le centre ville de Caen, avec parking payant à proximité.

Excellent visit ! Thank you for being such great hosts. The coffee/tea station in the common area was simply wonderful and location was perfect. The only challenge was the pull out sofa bed with an uncomfortable mattress as well as a pointy metal bar sticking out at the bottom of the bed which could have caused injury (we had to cover it up by wrapping towels over it) but overall excellent hotel that has everything we needed. Merci !

The location was very good , shops and restaurants nearby . Parking was 22 euro a day about a block away . There is No Air conditioning in this Hotel ! Making it very uncomfortable in the humidity and heat . Also many steps and no elevator to get to the rooms . Family run , very small rooms staff are eager to please , clean enough , free breakfast average .

Mathieu and family made us feel very welcome in this lovely little hotel. The rooms are small and simple, but tastefully designed and very comfortable. It's a small hotel, so don't expect a huge buffet breakfast - just good bread, cheese, homemade yogurt and the local speciality teurgoule. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the castle and abbeys, and there are lots of buses and trams (get the Twisto app}.

Wonderful hotel operated by a warm and friendly family. Matteiu was helpful and checked in on our comfort. The rooms were updated, stylish, and comfortable. We had an amazing dinner at a pizza/pasta restaurant around the corner. Great location!

This hotel is nice. Nice location which just take 5mins walk to the car park. Located in the city centre where you can walk everywhere within 15- 20mins. The most important thing is the staff/owner ‘s family are superb nice. Highly recommended ❤️

Staff was so rude in the check in. There is no lift and no warning beforehand. There is no parking available to carry suitcases easily. If you can find space there is one 5 mins walk distance and very expensive (€22 per day). Staff will say there is free parking after 7pm but you need to be very lucky to be able to find spaces. Sofa bed was horrible bed ever. It’s squeaky and I inclined down significantly. And pillows were like an inflated balloon, quite uncomfortable to sleep. There also is no control of heating. It’s cold at night and they didn’t turn on fully. Especially if you have a baby, think twice.

A really super hotel for a stay in central Caen. Clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. Everything is in easy reach and a wealth of places to eat and drink are very close by.

I had a lovely stay in the Hotel Fontaine for the DDay commemorations. Secure underground car park very close by, a stroll to several good restaurants and the beautiful chateau.

Hotel muito bem localizado em uma regiao bonita, cheia de restaurantes e lojas. Muito limpo, novo e o quarto bem espacoso. Atendimento gentil. O predio nao tem elevador, mas mesmo assim vale a estadia.

Bonsoir, L’hôtel est en plein centre de Caen. Idéal pour tout faire à pied. La chambre était agréable, c’était calme et la literie très confortable. Merci pour tout.

Hôtel situé en plein centre ville. Un gros doute en voyant la porte et qui fut vite oublié. Chambre parfaite, p'tit dej parfait, accueil parfait. Vraiment rien à redire Ah si, je n'ai pas pu saluer la personne en partant car elle était occupée. Donc, merci beaucoup pour votre accueil et la bonne tenue de votre établissement. ;-)

Room was nicely decorated and very clean. But it was very small. Also no lift a four storey building so if you on top floor like us a lot of stairs to climb. Breakfast was very poor and could be improved. No eggs or yoghurt. No fresh milk only long life milk. Car parking at €22 per day is a bit stiff. Admittedly hotel doesn't own car park. But i think hotel should try and make alternative arrangements for clients. The two brothers who run it are very nice and helpful.

host Matthew was great!. I should have looked for a three star hotel that might have had an elevator. Room was quite small. Breakfast was OK no hot food.

Mathieu and family made us feel very welcome in this lovely little hotel. The rooms are small and simple, but tastefully designed and very comfortable. It's a small hotel, so don't expect a huge buffet breakfast - just good bread, cheese, homemade yogurt and the local speciality teurgoule. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the castle and abbeys, and there are lots of buses and trams (get the Twisto app}.

Convenient hotel not too far from the train station. Very helpful gentleman at reception. Room was clean and decent. Only issue was that Caen had a hot spell when we were there and the room was noticeably warm despite opening the windows in full. We were facing a courtyard with little wind. Nighttime got cooler but not cold enough if room had AC. Other times of the year, this would not be a complaint so this hotel would be more than adequate. FYI, you can have a one free coffee and juice in the morning and also have some refreshments (drinks) available at reception when open. There's a bakery nearby to buy pastries for breakfast if necessary.

Wifi didn’t work at all, and doesn’t mention that the room does not have air conditioning which was very hot, they provide a fan but it’s false information because you spect now days all hotels have AC… it felt more as Airbnb. Also doesn’t mention on the booking about not having an elevator… again spectated to have as being a hotel…

Fantastic hotel. Ideal for cyclists as they provide secure storage. They even allowed me to charge my electric bike in the bike store. Ideal location in the heart of Caen. Room was clean and provided all amenities required. Shower was hot and water pressure ideal to massage away the muscle aches of cycling. I’ll be certainly using the hotel again. Staff were very helpful throughout my stay.
