I was given a room key n find the room door open 2” n the tv on I felt unsafe n was issued another room The hall reeked of cannibis The elevator to the pool was broken n the only way to enter was out main entrance, walk across parking lot, enter pool door Couldn’t swim like my son loves bc we weren’t going to walk in 7* temp outside wet back to our room Disappointed

Employee at front desk was polite. Hallways were disgusting.. ceiling leaking, pool cloudy, sauna didnt work. No hot tub like in the description. There was also a nasty smell.

The pool was large but hard to get to

The girl who checked us in was great, after that it was all down hill. The entire place was grungy. The pool was DISGUSTING!!! There were bandages and medicinal patches floating around in the green water, and wet cloth couches for deck seating. The walls are so thin we could hear everything that went on throughout the hotel. When I checked in I made a point to say that I would need a receipt when we checked out as I was being reimbursed for the room, but the guy who checked us out didn’t even know how to print a receipt and when I asked when someone would be in who could help me he said “I don’t know it varies” so now I’m out the $168 because I have no receipt. I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!

Stayed there in December of 2024 and had a decent experience. But This time around most recently Smelled horrible, bath tub was disgusting with mold, Stained sheets, tv didn’t work. Emergency exits blocked off with tape. Pool was gross. Not sure how it fell apart in 3 months … but don’t feel safe to go back….

My room was dirty (tub, microwave, floor). Shower only ran hot. Tub was gross. Could feel the bed springs. Tiny worn out pillows. Sheets old and rough. Room smelled like old food. Pool was old but decent. Lobby smelled like weed. I think they are trying to upgrade it but it it is old and desperately needs basic improvements. If you need a cheap place to stay on the main strip and you aren't picky it's ok. I won't stay here again It

The whole place is dated and looking run down. The hotel has a zero smoking policy but our room reeked for cigarette smoke very badly. I hate the smell of cigarettes. The pool has nasty looking cloudy water. The nice things were the carpet in the room was new looking and the sauna was excellent, but no pool to cool off in as previously noted.

Flooding from the ice machine, no ice on the last day of our stay. No breakfast available! Staff was friendly!

Pool was dirty and cold…our smoke detector was hanging down from the ceiling. Ceiling tiles were missing. Elevator was quite scary!!!

Room could use a good cleaning, cobwebs in the room and bathroom. Found a dead bug in the bathroom and the jets in the tub really needs a cleaning.

Hotel was not very clean, spills in the hallway, not cleaned up for two days, witnessed a guest kicking a dog in the hallway, this property need a complete over haul, i will never stay there again.....Wow!!

The room was gross. Smelled terrible and the floors were sticky. Toilet was stained and there was unknown white substance on the back of bathroom door. Window was open when we got there and it was overall just a huge disappointment.

The hotel room was gross. It smelled like smoke in the room and in the halls. The bathtub had mold on it. The flooring wasn’t sealed properly. The ceiling had a strange yellow stain that was in the drywall and covered the light. If I would have had more time and there were vacancies I would have changed hotels. They did not serve any breakfast as advertised. They didn’t even have a plastic fork when I asked.

This hotel is disgusting….. The lobby smelled like weed. We went up to the room. Smelled terrible. Tears and goop on headboard. No mattress cover, 1 single sheet over the mattress. Pulled the sheet back, blood stains on mattress. Stains on the top blanket. The tub was dirty. We walked right back to the front desk and in formed them we would not be staying there. Had to go down the street and get a room at another hotel

Absolutely disgusting. There were cob webs on the ceilings, black mold on the caulk in the tub, the tub had stains all over it, the tub jets didn't work, there was open wires on the ceiling, the room and hallway smelled like cigarette smoke, the floors in the room looked like they haven't been vacuumed in ages and last the tv didn't work and i have pictures of all of that.

Dirty and smelly, avoid

The staff was pretty average, although wasn’t helpful when requesting a refund. The rooms were poorly maintained. Very dirty, there was what looked like blood on the floor near ice machine, mold in the mini fridge, dirt, dander and other unknown substances on the still plastic wrapped box spring of the bed, clearly not vacuumed floors, the a.c. was caked in dirt and dust, there was multiple stains on carpet, there was what I think was mold in the shower corners and stains and hair on the sheets. Also, there was wetness in the entry way of the room into the bathroom and after taking a shower a member of staff told us that our shower was leaking into the pool which was under us. Not to mention, the website says it’s a non smoking hotel well the whole place reeked of cigarette and weed smoke smell. They do allow pets, as stated on the website as well but the hallways have a rancid urine smell. There were unsupervised children riding bikes in the hallway late at night past midnight. Also there were no fire alarms in our rooms one of our rooms didn’t have one, and the other had a gutted fire alarm (no electronics just the outside casing of it) and the bathroom vent fan was busted up. I guess there’s not much good to say about this place. The property owners best bet would probably be to demo it and start over, in need of some serious TLC.

The hotel we stayed at had a very strong cat pee smell. The carpet was sticky feeling, didn't feel good walking barefoot on it. The hallways looked like they were undergoing repair. One of the elevators were out of service, and the one that worked looked sketchy. Positives were the staff working were nice, and very helpful. Lastly the pool was pretty clean. Would swim again, but not stay the night.

Hotel is in desperate need of a complete overhaul! Front desk staff is friendly and competent. Sheets were mostly clean. No working Internet/Wi-Fi and business center computers & printer mostly unusable. Shower was warm with good water volume but shower head could have been better. Air conditioning worked but fan never stopped. Bed was lumpy. Walls were water stained and paint was peeling and chipped. Bathtub/shower and lots of caulk separating. Windows were pretty clean but 80% foggy. All linens are nearing end of life. Chair was ripped. In general, a very worn hotel.

People were yelling and screaming just about the entire night. But from 4am - 7am I could understand the conversation it was angry, mean, and a bit scary. Additionally, all looks ok at check-in, and honestly, the hotel staff was very friendly, but once you turn the corner to the rooms, it is a completely different story. The hallways all have a sign that say if you remove the smoke detector, it's immediate removal and $250 fine. Makes sense because it does smell on MJ. I think my room was clean enough but the bathroom really needs an update to feel more clean. But, i skipped ordering food because i didn’t want to leave the room again until daylight (came in at 8pm) due to the scary noises other guests were making. I'm female and was traveling alone and it really didn’t feel safe. I was just trying to save some money. IMO, it's not worth it and the Holiday Inn down the road was absolutely lovely.

You get what you pay for. Room was clean and bed comfortable enough. The facility has aged without improvements (note the worn desk chair in our room.) The stairs in the lobby were dirty. There was no breakfast. Perhaps there is a staffing problem. Certainly a lack of investment.

Don’t judge a property from the outside … this place is worse on the inside. Once you enter the elevator, walk the hallways to your room … it is so dirty and obviously no one cleans the floors in this place. The rooms were outdated as well.

We had to change rooms 3 times before we got an acceptable room. The first room smelled, hair in the freezer, holes in the wall, cigarette burns on the bedding, lights didn’t work in the bathroom, poop in the toliet, and wires hanging where the smoke detector shoukd have been. Room #2 smell, holes in the walls, what looked like a blood spot and cigarette burns on the bedding. Room #3 was better, not great, but okay. We were tild that the owners have only owned the hotel for a few months, very limited staff, and the first ywo rooms were not even supposed to be rented out. I was ready to change hotels and be out the money since it was non-refundable.

The good: 1) The parking lot is well lit 2) The staff all seem very nice 3) The sheets were clean (although old) 4) The bathroom was clean 5) The refrigerator and microwave worked 6) There was sufficient lighting in the room 7) The AC worked 8) There was sufficient hot water 9) I did not feel unsafe while staying here The bad: 1) The entire facility smells like cigarettes/marijuana 2) If you are not going to implement a Non-Smoking policy Please add an important disclaimer to your hotel description that there aren't any Non-Smoking rooms. 3) In our room the main door was very hard to close, and the bathroom door would *not* close. The hairdryer only worked properly on high. 4) I don't think they had been vacuumed/mopped once the entire time we stayed (4 nights). I saw the same debris each morning and evening. 5) When i checked in it was dark where the elevator is. That's kind of creepy. 6) All staff should have a professional uniform and name badge. 7) While the pool is olympic size, when I went to look at it, it looked cloudy, there was debris floating in it, and the facility door was not even locked, the door opened without needing my room key. 8) Have a blanket on the beds, not just a sheet and thin duvet cover.

If you are a family, looking for a cheap, safe, clean room then AVOID THIS PLACE!! Pay the extra $20 and get a room at the holiday inn down the street. This American Inn hotel was absolutely terrible. From the cleanliness, or lack there of (stains on everything from lamp shades to bedsheets). All types of smells through out the halls, cigarette smoke, weed, cooking. Fake nails discarded on the couch. And just the overall unsafe feeling of the residents who live there. There were not regular bed pillows, we were given 2 throw pillows per queen bed. Plus our bed was broken. If you sat on the bed, it sunk to the floor. A wood board was broken underneath. The person at the front counter could barely hold a conversation he was so high. And the walls sure came to life at night. Lots of noises you would not want your children hearing!! Im honestly not sure how they are still allowed to be open. There has got to multiple health & safety violations there! This is the type of place that should have hourly rates. The price is cheap for a reason! Do not take your family here!! If I could give negative stars I would!!

Staff member at the front desk was not friendly or cordial. Had to bring down and exchange the bed comforter due to being stained and not cleaned. The same staff member mentioned above did not apologize for the inconvenience. The new bed comforter had bleach stains and holes. Bathtub had mold. Cigarette smoke was smelled throughout the entire venue. The place needs major renovation.

The staff here were very nice and friendly, and our room was clean and comfortable for our stay.

Check in was at 3:00 we got there at 3:30. We were told that they were still cleaning and our room would not be ready for an hour. 2 hours later the room was still not ready but got a key for a different room. There were people in that room. Went BACK to the desk and got another key to another room. Drop our bags and went to our concert. Got back to the room and there was no AIR and this was the week of the heat wave. Needless to say we grabbed our bags and drove 2 hours back home at 1:00 in the morning. It was the WORST experience I have ever had and will not return. I believe that Hotels.com should give me back my points that were wasted on a hotel that they socialize with. Not Happy At All!!!

Man at front desk was very unhelpful and rude, maybe even lazy. The room was not clean, lip prints and other marks on the windows. There were what looked like semen stains on the bed skirt. Dust coatings on the stands. Floors didn’t look like they had been vacuumed well. Ice machines didn’t work. The coffee machine didn’t seem to work. Outlets were barely in the walls. The bathroom tub didn’t drain and their definite signs of mildew in it. When trying to buy water because they offered no bottled water, the machine didn’t work. While trying to figure it out, the man at the front desk just sat there and watched us struggle. Asked for assistance and didn’t offer any. He did state we could use ice, which then told him that the machines didn’t work. And wonder if he wanted us to melt ice to drink? Offered no discount or anything for our inconvenience.

Needs to be updated but the staff is super helpf

The property was fine didn’t spend a lot of time in hotel

The facility showed its age a bit but was still in good condition. We were down for a concert that filled most of our time, so we didn't explore anything else there. Room was clean and comfortable and that's all we were looking for. We will use again in the future.

Close to most everything one would need

Pulling up to hotel- it looked sketchy. Right when you walk in it didnt look bad, then getting in the elevator- i was afraid id die it- it was so outdated & rickety. Walking to the room- they tried to do upgrades but you could tell it was w/the poorest quality/cheapest flooring & the floor was wavey. The room smelled funny, a cheap matress, they gave you 4 couch pillow sized pillows, & a sheet & what looked like a thin curtain for a bedspread- it was dirty & im pretty sure the sheets werent changed in between stays. Lesson learned - you get what you pay for- the only positive was convenience of the location for me. I did survive tho & didnt bring home any bedbugs so theres that.

Convenient area

I mean, the sheets were clean and staff in the halls were friendly enough, but overall the area felt sketchy at best, our window on the first floor was broken and had no screen either. The pool was closed and the hallways smelled really bad, holes in the ceiling in the hallway and the bathroom fan was hanging out from the ceiling. The parking lot and entryway was very confusing and the hotel is unmarked so no name on it at all.....we made it, and slept ok, but would never recommend it and would never go back.

Property could use maintenance but staff is friendly and prices were fair. Adjacent to the Pontiac, MI airport KPTK, so very convenient for flights.

It is in a good location for what I needed. The hallway smelled like a Chinese kitchen. In my room the TV did not work, the entrance light didn’t work and the microwave must’ve been an eight hundred watt, as only half of the popcorn popped.

Check in person was nice,upgraded us to a "suite". The hallway floors were sticky and you could just follow the drips of something all the way to the room.Walked in to the room to find 2 refrigerators,neither worked, 1 wouldn't even close. 2 Smoke detectors laying on shelves with no batteries in them. 2 out of 3 ice machines broken. Very shabby and run down looking from the elevators to the rooms. The counters in the room were sticky,you could see spills on them from the last person. Lamps not plugged in, clocks not set. I used a side elevator several times. When we went out for our concert the side elevator had a sign saying out of order. I would have not been happy if I would have gotten stuck in it. Had to spend more money for bottled water for coffee because all the water smelled like an over chlorinated pool. We wanted to take a jacuzzi bath,but didn't want to bathe in a chlorine pool. The free coffee spot was filthy as well. At the end of the evening the desk person was mopping the main entrance floor and in front of the elevator, which made it very slick and had NO wet floor signs out. I would NEVER recommend this place to my worst enemy. Conditions were completely disgusting. Sorry to say this place should be condemned.

No coffee and cream in the room but a coffee pot with a used coffee filter was inside the room. One opened package of creamer was also in the room. When I went to the front desk to ask for coffee, of course they were out. The bar soap is so small and I never seen any hotel carry that type of soap. The wash clothes were more like rags instead of wash clothes. I can go on and on

Room was large, nice jetted tub in the bathroom. It was a great stay especially for the price, it was discounted from 85 to 55 for the night. The only disappointing thing was the coffee was weak and there were no other amenities for breakfast. Not even creamer… just coffee, cups and lids it was weird. No stirrers or spoons either.

This hotel is about 40 years old and it looks like it. It used to be very nice when it was a Quality inn. The new owners have let it really declined in overall appearance. The mattresses are damn close to as old as the building. Other than a fridge. No other amenities, microwave, coffee maker, etc. the phone didn't work, the alarm clock doesn't work. There's on breakfast, the coffee was horrible. All in all, I don't like this place, very run down and don't recommend this for a family stay, or a stay at all.

Beer cans all over the parking lot when we came out the next morning. They were all over our car area and spots were all over our car. Looked like there was a party and I can't believe that wasn't seen on camera. The hotel was fine. No breakfast like the internet said BUT the man who checked us in was kind and made check in easy. We would return :)
