It was our first time staying, and I feel like the parking is a major inconvenience. No one told us there was a $45 parking fee until after I saw the receipt showing where our deposit went. Our room had some plastic/trash on the ground. Rooftop bar closed due to the weather. (understandable).

We stayed here on 7/1/26 for the Noah Kahan concert that was in town. I booked months in advance and booked a nicer than standard room, as it was my wife and I’s anniversary. We arrive at the hotel for check in and are immediately informed that our style of room was overbooked and we were being downgraded to a standard room. We were offered 2 drink tickets as compensation. Upon entering the standard room we were moved to, we realize it is a 2 bed room. The shower also shares a semi-transparent wall with the bed space, so whoever else is in the room while you shower can see your whole naked body through the wall, and if you turn the bathroom light on at night it will illuminate the entire sleeping space. In a 2 bed scenario I have no idea how a see-through shower wall is a good idea. The shower also had no body wash/shower gel in it, and the TV in the room did not work properly. It was 95 degrees at the concert, so we came back to the hotel after being outside in the heat for hours, just to not be able to take a proper shower and then sleep in separate beds on our anniversary. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and I won’t be back, there are simply too many other options out there to want to give a second chance. Disappointing experience.

The hotel is cute and clean (once we got the right room) and is located in the downtown business district. It's closer to the banks than OTR, though the free streetcar makes it easy to get anywhere downtown. Unfortunately, when we checked into our room, it was immediately obvious that it hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests, who appeared to have had quite a party. The front desk staff was apologetic and helpful, but it took longer than I would have liked to get us into a clean room. We were on a tight schedule trying to make it to a concert at Riverbend, so the delay was frustrating. We received two complimentary drink tickets at check-in, but the bar closes at 11 p.m., so we couldn't use them after returning from the concert. I also wish valet stayed fully staffed later; after 11 p.m. (last call in Cincinnati is 2:00am), the front desk handles parking, which was a bit confusing. Overall, I think the hotel is a little overpriced for its location and amenities, though it's charming and the staff was friendly. One thing to note: both rooms I saw had interior steps—one had several steps down into the bedroom, and the other had two steps up from the entry. It's an unusual layout that's worth knowing about if you have mobility concerns.

The Moxy is amazing! It is modern and fun and a great atmosphere for both families and adult-only travelers. The only thing I feel would make it a little better would be to have a few more useful amenities like a table, small refrigerator and/or microwave in the room…overall, we loved it here and would stay again!
