The REFRIGERATOR IN THE ROOM FROZE ALL OUR FOOD…the staff gave us some credit which was nice. Although there is a bistro on premises, please note that there is nothing really close enough to walk. You have to pay for parking and at $15, with a large parking lot, it seemed excessive. And the bistro has limited options, and is a bit inconsistent…one great breakfast one day, the next it was terrible. There’s no complimentary coffee in the lobby…there is a Starbucks on premise…bed was comfy…

I liked the room, it had a door to the outside garden area, which was useful as I had a dog. However, they charged me $125 for my dog for one night! Absolutely outrageous. I was expecting something like $25. When I complained, they said they charge $125 per stay. I was there for probably 12 hours maximum. They should charge by the day rather than the stay in my opinion. Note to self… Read the fine print. It is hard to do that when you are booking in a hurry at the last minute.

The breakfast at this hotel is great. The fire pit is relaxing and the staff is pleasant. The room is very comfortably setup for working away from home and there are great restaurants and shops nearby. Negatives: The hot tub has smelled of bleach when we went and the pool, while a decent size, is on the cool side. Overall our stays here have been pleasant. We would recommend this hotel.

I didn’t realize when I booked that the hotel would be under renovation during our stay. I think this most significantly impacted our stay and this review. Pros: good location, great pool and spa area, renovated rooms were spacious enough for family of four and had lots of storage. Cons: parking was limited, outside lighting off at night in parking lot (due to construction?), workers near windows early in the am and early am construction noise. AC wasn’t working well and housekeeping didn’t come the first day but both were addressed as soon as I let the front desk know. Definitely would have a higher rating without construction interference.

We had an overall good experience. The property was in good condition and breakfast/coffee bar was awesome. A real starbucks with a Marriott style breakfast combined. Love the concept! The food was great and coffee tasted just like it came from a Starbucks location. The pool had lots of dead bugs on it and debrie, so I had to sweep it myself with a net for our family to enjoy, but the hot tub was perfectly clean and so warm! One of the front desk people was not friendly, and did not honor our request for a late check out. The bathroom floor in our unit was dirty, which was disappointing, but otherwise, the room looked clean although dated. We were there for a wedding and had a great time. It served its purpose.

The Staff members were friendly & answered my questions quickly/ The morning staff at the coffee/breakfast Bar were attentive & friendly. The room was clean, until I noticed a pillow had fallen behind the sofa bed. There were forgotten piles of dust. When I pulled out the sofa bed, there were still crumbs from previous quests. The location was very convient.

Room 106: Dirty and dusty. The toilet made a high-pitched noise when flushed. The air conditioner made a noise. The clock in the room was 2 hours off. When walking through the pool area, the key card didn't open the gates, and the key card didn't open the building door. Another guest had to open the door. I told the front desk about the doors and gather, and he said they had been broken and not fixed yet. I'm curious if the fire marshall would be interested in this revelation! The front desk personnel were inexperienced. All in all, you get 2 out of 5... Also, I will stay at one of your competitors next time I come to town!

Our room smelled like cigar smoke, the fridge smelled like old food and we noticed oil marks on the headboard once we woke up in the morning (no, not for us) when I went to let the front desk know in the morning as I checked out, the girl at the front desk said she could take $10 off for parking and proceeded to charge me $125 for my dogs. The Courtyard room was spotless and quiet as always,. But, after my first night, the internet connection in my room would NOT work. For either my laptop or my phone, so it was not the equipment. I am now and another hotel 150 miles away and everythng works perfect. Stay out of Room 31.

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott recently and overall, it was an okay experience. The hotel itself is well-located with plenty of food options nearby, and I appreciated the hot tub, which was a nice way to relax. However, there were a few issues that impacted my stay. The staff didn’t seem particularly friendly or helpful when I called about a few things in the room. For example, I had only two towels for a room with three guests and only one roll of toilet paper. The conditioner was empty when I tried to use it, which was inconvenient. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the room got uncomfortably warm even with the thermostat adjusted. Additionally, the noise from the neighbors upstairs was quite disruptive. I called at 9pm about the loud noise, but was told nothing could be done until 10pm when “quiet time” started. Since I was recovering from surgery and had hoped for a quiet stay, this was disappointing. Overall, the location and amenities like the hot tub were great, but I had a hard time with the service and room comfort. I’d rate it around 3 stars and would hope the staff and room maintenance could be improved in the future.

The sound proofing in the hotel is awful. I could hear the people above us and they sounded like a pack of elephants but I doubt they were making much noise, and I could hear the room next door talking and sneezing, and whooping at midnight with their tv on. The bathroom wasn’t very clean on arrival. The staff was lovely and bery nice.

Unfortunately the beds were uncomfortable. Felt on the older side and uneven enough where i felt my head was lower than my body. Room was very clean, walls were a bit thin and felt like you heard sounds above and next to the room.

The room was small but clean. We got a king suite with a king bed and sofa bed. The king bed was deeply indented in the middle, but OK. We almost always get rooms with a sofa bed, and this one was noticeably bad and the springs were painful to sleep on. The sofa bed was not made up with sheets when we arrived, which we've never seen in other hotels. With one notable exception, when we requested staff support, from bedding for the sofa bed to an inoperable coffee maker to getting our room cleaned, the staff response felt unfriendly and unhelpful.

All was as expected. These Marriott properties continue to have weird shower set ups, with a single sliding glass door situated right underneath the shower head. Doesn't make sense to me, but someone designed this without ever taking a shower, I guess. Not a major quibble!

Although received confirmation of reservation via Expedia, the hotel indicated that reservation was cancelled. Fortunately, the desk clerk indicated they had a room and was very nice but could have been a problem if there was no rooms available.

I hated the fact that i called a week in advance to ask about having an early check in and was told the earliest they can schedule me for was 1:00 pm which i was happy with because this gave me time to drive there and get ready for a wedding i had to be at. I show up and the rude front desk lady told me that they dont do early check ins and there are no rooms available before i could finish speaking. I went back in to dispute this but i attempted to speak with someone else yet she insisted on helping me again, with a slight attitude adjustment but still rude. She proceeded to tell me that early check in were only a request and not scheduled even after i told her this is what i was told on the phone a week prior and that all check outs are at 11:00 am which gave them 2 hours to get a room ready for me. She attempted to tell me how they had a huge party (idaho college football team) as if that was my fault or like it was something that should affect my scheduled stay. I ended up getting a room an hour later than expected and was late to the wedding. I do not recommend this place because of the horrible and rude service. Next time dont tell customers that they can check in early. I will not be staying here again and will not recommend.
I hated the fact that i called a week in advance to ask about having an early check in and was told the earliest they can schedule me for was 1:00 pm which i was happy with because this gave me time to drive there and get ready for a wedding i had to be at. I show up and the rude front desk lady told me that they dont do early check ins and there are no rooms available before i could finish speaking. I went back in to dispute this but i attempted to speak with someone else yet she insisted on helping me again, with a slight attitude adjustment but still rude. She proceeded to tell me that early check in were only a request and not scheduled even after i told her this is what i was told on the phone a week prior and that all check outs are at 11:00 am which gave them 2 hours to get a room ready for me. She attempted to tell me how they had a huge party (idaho college football team) as if that was my fault or like it was something that should affect my scheduled stay. I ended up getting a room an hour later than expected and was late to the wedding. I do not recommend this place because of the horrible and rude service. Next time dont tell customers that they can check in early. I will not be staying here again and will not recommend.

No one told me there was a parking charge and I was never given a parking permit. I ubered to the location, I shouldn’t have been charged for parking. I asked for an itemized receipt when I checked in and was told there isn’t one to give. I didn’t find out about the parking charge until I checked out. Pet charge is not reasonable.

The property itself is okay but checking in they gave us the wrong room key and we went into an occupied room then later at night the key stopped working so I had to be dragging my small kids up and down floors getting everything situated, and the staff didn’t do anything to apologize for all the inconveniences. Also, no trash bags in the trash can in the rooms.

So it's a toss up - view or breakfast. Had I realized that, I would have booked at the Embassy Suites which is well known for it's excellent breakfast offerings for it's guests.

A perfectly normal Courtyard By Marriott except that it's a little bit off the main commercial area so $15 a night for parking seemed excessive. Breakfast at 6:00 is a little late for early flights out (this being one of the closest hotels to SLO's airport).

This hotel is just OK, first they charge for parking on property I know it’s only$15 but it’s a hotel with NO other option for parking but on property, second pay for breakfast that was just OK and you pay. Sorry if I expect more from Marriott, I’d say just stay at holiday inn express save the money.

The REFRIGERATOR IN THE ROOM FROZE ALL OUR FOOD…the staff gave us some credit which was nice. Although there is a bistro on premises, please note that there is nothing really close enough to walk. You have to pay for parking and at $15, with a large parking lot, it seemed excessive. And the bistro has limited options, and is a bit inconsistent…one great breakfast one day, the next it was terrible. There’s no complimentary coffee in the lobby…there is a Starbucks on premise…bed was comfy…

We had an overall good experience. The property was in good condition and breakfast/coffee bar was awesome. A real starbucks with a Marriott style breakfast combined. Love the concept! The food was great and coffee tasted just like it came from a Starbucks location. The pool had lots of dead bugs on it and debrie, so I had to sweep it myself with a net for our family to enjoy, but the hot tub was perfectly clean and so warm! One of the front desk people was not friendly, and did not honor our request for a late check out. The bathroom floor in our unit was dirty, which was disappointing, but otherwise, the room looked clean although dated. We were there for a wedding and had a great time. It served its purpose.

The Staff members were friendly & answered my questions quickly/ The morning staff at the coffee/breakfast Bar were attentive & friendly. The room was clean, until I noticed a pillow had fallen behind the sofa bed. There were forgotten piles of dust. When I pulled out the sofa bed, there were still crumbs from previous quests. The location was very convient.

One of the staff members was amazing. When I could not locate the hotel she stayed on the phone with me and talked me through the directions until I arrived at the hotel then greeted me by name when I walked in. They moved me to another room away from the elevator that was extremely noisy.

Like the other Hotels by Courtyard we have stayed at, they really figured ut how a hotel should look, feel and be run.

Hotel was very busy, as it was July. However, the staff were very friendly, personable, and professional. Though there were a lot of people in the lobby (people who had already checked in), I felt like the attention was all on me checking in. The room I booked was clean, comfortable, and the amenities were great. The pool area was spacious and I had a great time playing with my nieces. There were a lot of other kids around, which I didn't mind as my kids were young, too, so it was a very family friendly atmosphere as well. Considering it was so hot, the pool was a great amenity. I will definitely go back again if I'm ever in the area.
