Amy at the front desk was perfectly friendly, and the facade of the place looked nice. However, I felt the value for the price we paid for 1 night (250 USD) was discordant. The restaurant was closed for renovations, so we had to find somewhere off-site to eat dinner. There was a 10 pound charge per person if we wanted to have a continental breakfast. There is no parking at the property, so we had to pay 5 pounds to park in a dirt lot across the street. Thankfully we were there on a cool day. There was no AC in the room. Even though it was cool outside, inside was uncomfortably warm. We had the window open the whole time we were there, but air flow in/out of the room was not good. Because the window was open, we heard every passerby.

Everything was great with the hotel and the staff were lovely. Our only issue is that it’s not very clear where you’re supposed to park especially when we arrived in the dark. The hotel should specify the name of the car park on the information provided.

very conveniently located near durdle door. Beautiful shore and walking trails nearby. Since the place is new, some renovation was ongoing hence quite noisy. Staff was very friendly and cooperative. Would go there again!!

This was a great location with sea views and the staff were lovely. We werent aware before we arrived that there was no operational bar or restaurant. This area and the terrace were lovely so it was a shame not to be able to eat there but we were advised of other places in the village. Be aware that food serving stops at 8.30pm in Lulworth, we got turned away from 2 places and only just got in at a third! I think the hotel is having a refurb in autumn and we would love to return after this has been done

It started when I rang the hotel a few days beforehand asking do we need to book restaurants the man said no need then we found our hotels restaurant wasn't up and running and we had problems getting in elsewhere the hotel had no lifts and the room was very pokey for the extortionate amount of money breakfast wasn't included and only continental won't be coming here again

We had a one night stop-over at the newly opened/re-opened hotel. There were a few issues with decor but overall the large, dog friendly double room was VERY comfortable

Location of the hotel was amazing with only few minutes walk to lulworth cove. The hotel was ok. I do not have wifi because it cannot reach to the room The room itself when i stayed was cold. The window in my room is not double glaze

Lovely building only a few minutes walk from the Cove, with easy access to several restaurants near the water and absolutely lovely staff. Great views and a very quiet area, with access to Durdle Door trails, shared parking access to the lot closer to Durdle Door for those less eager to walk distances (£5 a day for three lots coverage), and a superbly comfortable bed.
Lovely building only a few minutes walk from the Cove, with easy access to several restaurants near the water and absolutely lovely staff. Great views and a very quiet area, with access to Durdle Door trails, shared parking access to the lot closer to Durdle Door for those less eager to walk distances (£5 a day for three lots coverage), and a superbly comfortable bed.

Just about ok, breakfasts were not good, unable to have any hot food, kitchen not running.£9.95 for a cold buffet type breakfast wasn't good, we ended up eating breakfast at a local cafe. Hotel decor in places needed some attention, in our room 4 the wall paper was coming off the wall

The room was large, the bed very comfortable. The view from the window was good too, considering the car park was right in from of the hotel! Breakfast was great. Staff were wonderful. Location was perfect. Didn’t give it 5 stars because: The decor definitely needs a refresh. Our room was cold when we arrived and the curtains weren’t long enough to tuck behind the radiator so the heat was going straight out the very old windows, one of which wouldn’t close properly. Bathroom radiator didn’t work, nor did the ventilation fan. Would probably stay again.

A nice welcome but highly overpriced for what you get. Wallpaper peeling, tatty old torn curtains, needs a repaint. The room was very small with old mismatched furniture you might see in a hostel. We were expecting more for £256 a night.

Lulworth Cove can be very busy during the daytime, but when the doctors have left it is a peaceful haven and this girl makes the most of it. With a view out to sea we found this to be a relaxing been of a place with a very reasonably priced simple breakfast offering. It is in bed of some tlc (the carpet on the stairs springs to mind), but otherwise a great place to stay.

Really lovely relaxing stay at the Durdle Door Hotel and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Friendly and informative. The hotel is spotlessly clean and offers an optional continental breakfast. Parking was available at a discounted rate which is very useful. The hotel is walkable to the cove, lots of eating places and the coastal path. We will definitely visit again!

Lovely hotel with friendly staff in great location. It has recently been taken over by new management and they are planning on tidying it up, which it needs in some areas. (For example frayed carpet on stairs.) But the room was comfortable and we were upgraded for free to a bigger room as there was space. Trevor and Scott were both ver helpful. Location perfect and next to some great restaurants and bars.

Staff were very helpful as my elderly sister suffers from dementia. The room was clean and well appointed, some areas were rather tired looking and in need of refurbishment. Great views from the bedrooms. Breakfast very good and catered for allergy problems.

The hotel is in a beautiful location - actually much closer to Lulworth Cove than Durdle Door, but still in a cute little village. My biggest issue was the size of the room was tiny for a double (including the bed), and the fact it was so so noisy. If it wasn’t the dog running around above us with the occasional barking (interesting choice to have a dog on the upper floor, usually hotels have them stay ground floor), it was the cleaner slamming doors before check out effectively waking everyone up who was staying until check out. Hardly slept at all so would not recommend for a peaceful stay. Finally, the parking - is a problem. When you arrive there are spaces by the hotel which could be used first come first served but you’re not allowed to - instead you need to pay at the huge car park for a discounted rate of £5. To enable this you need to set up an account, etc. Again not clear when you’ve just paid through the nose to visit other of the Estates tourist traps. All in all, not a fab stay - but the welcome on reception was hreay

The hotel is very nice and the staff very kind and nice too. The room was kind of small and we could hear the noise of the room from the top up of us, so it wasn’t tranquil. The surroundings are so amazing.

Lovely location, and very welcoming staff. Room was clean and comfortable - only issue is that the walls are rather thin, so a noisy neighbour next door or on the floor above can make for an uncomfortable night if you’re a light sleeper.

The hotel staff are lovely, attentive without being cloying. I was late checking in (my family lives in the village and they had picked from Wool train station, and invited me to dinner) The concierge phoned me to check that I was alright. The weather was very wet, and the roads are narrow nearer you get to the bay. I thought that was sweet. When I arrived check in was easy, shown to my lovely big, airy room. A comfy double bed, built in wardrobe, ensuite bathroom with shower. Lovely. I was informed that the breakfast was continental in style rather than a hot breakfast. Not a big issue. My only issue was the amount of steps! Steep steps up to the hotel, and then a lot of short flights up and down to get to my room. Hotel could do with a little touch up here and there but nothing major. But the location was perfect. A five (5) minute slow walk to the cove, two (2) minutes to the restaurant’s and shops, ten (10) minutes to Lulworth. And Durdle door was a (40) forty minute walk (with photo and breathing stops) away .. very worth it. Overall a beautiful hotel, lovely staff. I woke to the sound of bird song and waves. A wonderful way to start the day.

The weather was very wet, and the roads are narrow nearer you get to the bay. I thought that was sweet. When I arrived check in was easy, shown to my lovely big, airy room. A comfy double bed, built in wardrobe, ensuite bathroom with shower. Lovely. I was informed that the breakfast was continental in style rather than a hot breakfast. Not a big issue. My only issue was the amount of steps! Steep steps up to the hotel, and then a lot of short flights up and down to get to my room. Hotel could do with a little touch up here and there but nothing major. But the location was perfect. A five (5) minute slow walk to the cove, two (2) minutes to the restaurant’s and shops, ten (10) minutes to Lulworth. And Durdle door was a (40) forty minute walk (with photo and breathing stops) away .. very worth it. Overall a beautiful hotel, lovely staff. I woke to the sound of bird song and waves. A wonderful way to start the day.

It started when I rang the hotel a few days beforehand asking do we need to book restaurants the man said no need then we found our hotels restaurant wasn't up and running and we had problems getting in elsewhere the hotel had no lifts and the room was very pokey for the extortionate amount of money breakfast wasn't included and only continental won't be coming here again

Lovely hotel with friendly staff in great location. It has recently been taken over by new management and they are planning on tidying it up, which it needs in some areas. (For example frayed carpet on stairs.) But the room was comfortable and we were upgraded for free to a bigger room as there was space. Trevor and Scott were both ver helpful. Location perfect and next to some great restaurants and bars.

The hotel is in a beautiful location - actually much closer to Lulworth Cove than Durdle Door, but still in a cute little village. My biggest issue was the size of the room was tiny for a double (including the bed), and the fact it was so so noisy. If it wasn’t the dog running around above us with the occasional barking (interesting choice to have a dog on the upper floor, usually hotels have them stay ground floor), it was the cleaner slamming doors before check out effectively waking everyone up who was staying until check out. Hardly slept at all so would not recommend for a peaceful stay. Finally, the parking - is a problem. When you arrive there are spaces by the hotel which could be used first come first served but you’re not allowed to - instead you need to pay at the huge car park for a discounted rate of £5. To enable this you need to set up an account, etc. Again not clear when you’ve just paid through the nose to visit other of the Estates tourist traps. All in all, not a fab stay - but the welcome on reception was hreay

Our room was cold when we arrived and the curtains weren’t long enough to tuck behind the radiator so the heat was going straight out the very old windows, one of which wouldn’t close properly. Bathroom radiator didn’t work, nor did the ventilation fan. Would probably stay again.

This was a great location with sea views and the staff were lovely. We werent aware before we arrived that there was no operational bar or restaurant. This area and the terrace were lovely so it was a shame not to be able to eat there but we were advised of other places in the village. Be aware that food serving stops at 8.30pm in Lulworth, we got turned away from 2 places and only just got in at a third! I think the hotel is having a refurb in autumn and we would love to return after this has been done

The hotel is walkable to the cove, lots of eating places and the coastal path. We will definitely visit again!

Lovely building only a few minutes walk from the Cove, with easy access to several restaurants near the water and absolutely lovely staff. Great views and a very quiet area, with access to Durdle Door trails, shared parking access to the lot closer to Durdle Door for those less eager to walk distances (£5 a day for three lots coverage), and a superbly comfortable bed.

Amy at the front desk was perfectly friendly, and the facade of the place looked nice. However, I felt the value for the price we paid for 1 night (250 USD) was discordant. The restaurant was closed for renovations, so we had to find somewhere off-site to eat dinner. There was a 10 pound charge per person if we wanted to have a continental breakfast. There is no parking at the property, so we had to pay 5 pounds to park in a dirt lot across the street. Thankfully we were there on a cool day. There was no AC in the room. Even though it was cool outside, inside was uncomfortably warm. We had the window open the whole time we were there, but air flow in/out of the room was not good. Because the window was open, we heard every passerby.

Lulworth Cove can be very busy during the daytime, but when the doctors have left it is a peaceful haven and this girl makes the most of it. With a view out to sea we found this to be a relaxing been of a place with a very reasonably priced simple breakfast offering. It is in bed of some tlc (the carpet on the stairs springs to mind), but otherwise a great place to stay.

Staff were very helpful as my elderly sister suffers from dementia. The room was clean and well appointed, some areas were rather tired looking and in need of refurbishment. Great views from the bedrooms. Breakfast very good and catered for allergy problems.

Wonderful stay here. Staff were top notch and welcoming. Perfect spot to enjoy Lulworth Cove. If you’re GF they take care of you but also catered for coeliac. Full English breakfast was delicious and we were able to drink in the views from the dining room. We were on our honeymoon and we would go back. Thank you to the lovely staff!
