Americas Best Value Inn Marion, OH

Awful. Staff hardly said a word to me, and was too busy eating kfc. Tv was broken, chair had stab holes in it and chunks missing, sheets had cigarette burns in them, and there was fecal matter on the bathroom wall. They had the audacity to leave out an envelope that said "tips for housekeeper." Ice machine was broken. Stay anywhere else.

They have their own tv system no one knows how to use. Entire place not clean

Pictures very deceiving on hotels.com as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a terrible smell throughout the whole facility …. Rips in curtains, burn marks on bed , Any other hotel on this street is an upgrade do not stay here.

Could not stay at this property, once I entered the room there was smoke holes in the blankets, pulled the sheets back and a cockroach was in the bed. Staff was pleasant and understood my concern gave me back my refund.

Would only recommend for an entomologist who might like to study the cockroaches that lived behind the mirror above the sink. Don't worry, it will easy, as they are quite bold about appearing when the lights are turned off, and turned back on again. I would have given a lower rating except that the bed was as hard as a piece of concrete that can be found beneath a highway underpass. (which I happened to like, as I do have back problems, so I gave them an extra star from what I wanted to rate them at) I did say something to the front desk attendant when I had to go get me key re-charged so I could open the door as I had made a two day reservation, not knowing any better. His response to passing the word along to hire an exterminator was "It's not MY motel". And this review doesn't even mention the dog food spilled all along the hallway upstairs. Oh, wait. I just did mention it, but it's nothing a little housekeeping couldn't fix. I hate to think that this is really the BEST Value that America has to offer. Avoid.

The hallway smelled heavily of smoke. The water pressure in the shower was a trickle at best and the way the ceiling angled down in the shower made it challenging to wash my hair, I had to turn sideways. The beds are very firm. The linens had stains on them.

Burn marks and smelled like someone hot boxed a cigarette before we walked in. Very out of date and holes patched up in the walls. The blanket we got had burn marks and it was just not worth the money. I will never use this app because the rating was good so it was a bad suggestion. I would take this hotel off your app choices.

Not clean

Rooms where dirty. Linen and towels stained and dirty. Smelled of marijuana. Dogs barking in other rooms.

Immediately walking into the room it smelt disgusting. The sheets had stains. Also had those black marks by the seems of the mattress cover. Wasn’t sure if it was bed bugs or something else. The bathroom was gross. Would not recommend using that motel.

There were cockroaches everywhere in our room. We immediately left. We came all the way from Wisconsin for INKCARCERATION and had no where else to stay but anywhere was better and safer option

It was adequate for the price. Building is very holllow as u can hear basically everything. Has to "tip toe" in my room as the guest below complained to the desk of me walking around doing normal things.

Very out dated. No screen in the window. Very dirty. The carpets and curtains need to go.

This property was clean. However, it was a bit dated. I felt perfectly safe and slept great because it was quiet.

It was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. There was spackle on one wall, and the lighting could be better. Overall a good experience.

The people that they put above us even though we were on the bottom floor they made so much noise by hollering and screaming it kept us awake the key cards thank God there was two of us we couldn't even use them for the damn room

Barely any water pressure in the shower. Noisy in the lower level units.

Room was dirty, lock on door was broken. I rented a room with a queen size bed and ended up with a twin size. Ended up having to go buy a blow mattress for my kids to sleep on. Walls are paper thin, heard everything … and I mean EVERYTHING from all the rooms.

This was my second stay at this hotel, and I plan on staying here next year. The rates are among the lowest in Marion, but you get a clean, comfortable room with a friendly staff in a relatively quiet area. Highly recommended!

Very friendly personnel, helpful about the surrounding area. Nice room. Close walk to the store ect.

Room was great and the staff lady was awesome.

It was an emotional stay for us, the people here were so compassionate and helpful. I would highly recommend

The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. The thing is I had issues the last night i was there with my toilet. I told the lady at the front desk she gave me a plunger that didn't work, I returned it to her and told her and all she did was looked at me. I just said thank you and walked away! Man I was heated! Then Monday the morning. The only day I get to sleep in. Cause check out is at 12:00pm. About 9:30am my motel room phone keeps ringing! I didn't answer. Then an hour later I received a knock on my door.( I have the do not disturb sign up on my door too by the way!) I get out of bed and opened the door to see the same woman. I was pissed! And the first thing that came to my mind was that I said to her isn't check out at noon? She then mumbled something and said sorry and walked away....

An older motel that they have remodeled pretty well. Clean, and staff were excellent.

Stood in the lobby for almost a half hour waiting to get checked in. Once I did get into the room stained up towels and bedding where waiting for me. When I tried to take a shower the shower head was so plugged that I decided to just leave oh by the way I paid for 2 nights and didn't even stay 12 hours asked for a refund and was refused. The United States of America should sue them for using the name America Best they were by far the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed at. I will never stay here and I will never recommend this place to even a wild animal

Convenient for my plans. Enjoyed meeting the gentleman that was the night clerk. Appreciated the recliner. It was quiet.
