Koyado Surugatei

Koyado Surugatei is a small historic inn located near the entrance to Yumotozaka in the heart of Arima Onsen. Housed in a historic three-story wooden building, the property has been carefully renovated and is registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. Once home to a workshop producing traditional Arima bamboo baskets, the building retains much of the character and atmosphere of the Taisho and early Showa periods. Its central location provides convenient access to public hot springs such as Kin no Yu, as well as the charming streets, shops and restaurants of Arima Onsen, making it an ideal base for a simple and flexible stay in this historic hot spring town.
