Fantastic service, made our stay really enjoyable. The bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was really tasty. Happy hour drinks were great and they had chips & salsa and hummus. Another guest told us the property is about 35-40 years old, and it's showing it in some places. Two of the elevators were broken, so it made things a little slower, but not too bad. The pool was over chlorinated and COLD!

The fact that it is a fairly large hotel with very small elevators, one which was out of order and we were told that it is always out especially during their weekend rush, was horrible. Their happy hour wasn’t so happy as we had timeframes for the events we were in town for and the lines were so long that we couldn’t enjoy that on either days. The indoor pool was a nice sight to see but the water was ice cold making it not comfortable to relax. They have a sauna room but not hot tub which probably would have made the experience better. The staff was super friendly and helpful as much as possible so we appreciated their assistance.

Facilities are dated. Only 1 of 4 elevators were working and seemed run down, especially the elevator doors. We have stayed here for years, however, have realized Hilton needs to invest some dollars in updating and upgrading the property.

The photos showed a hot tub ,, the pool was closed , the sofa bed was not comfortable, the elevator was super slow, the hotel needs some maintenance, one door you couldn’t get in, no coffee in lobby ,

I was stuck in the elevator twice during my stay. Once for about 10 15 minutes which is a lot in a small hot space unsure of what the outcome could be. Staff seemed aware of the problem however it didn’t seem a concern and they continued to operate the elevator. The second time I was stuck for about 3 minutes however I know longer wanted to play roulette and took the stairs. I also have to comment when I spoke to the lady at the desk after the first time being stuck she commented like well we got you out like it was not big deal. Siding even offer me a bottle or water or anything. Needless to say I won’t be returning

Pool n gym was not open. Was not on website did not find out til we checked in. First room we were assigned had a leak suite floor was completely wet. Second room bathroom had toilet touching the door. Carpet needs to be removed dirty. Two elevators out of four were down. For the price you paid amenities need to be what you normally expect from an Embassy Suite. This was the worst one I have ever visited

I have traveled and prefer to stay at Embassey suites this stay was the worst experience ever My room was dirty bathroom dirty and dog hair throughout room very dissatisfied they came recleaned room they said And still dirty I cleaned the room after that just do we could have a clean room When I arrived stated hotel.com changed room to long and I had 4 people on the room I am contacting the corporate office about this horrible experience

The pictures looked very nice for this hotel, but it seemed run down and the room had a strong odor. Also the carpet was wet and the bathroom had mold. The air quality was questionable and the ac had a loud motor that clicked on and off all night.

Upon my families arrival we experienced no AC in our first room. The second day we were moved to a new room where the drain in the bathtub did not drain and later that night and later that night, I was greeted by a roach in the bathroom.

I really like the location of the property. Some front desk employees were not as friendly as others. My only complaint was the bathroom shower curtains. They were very moldy and dirty. Bathrooms are extremely small and have no ventilation. Shower heads will drip out all night. Love the breakfast!

Would not stay at this property again. The rug in our room was soaking wet. Staff brought a fan in to dry it but it caused the room to smell like mold & wet dog. The pool was disgusting. It had a film floating on it & couldn’t see the bottom. On our last day, we found cockroaches in the bathroom as well as our sleeping area. Never agàin!

The bathroom was not properly cleaned when we arrived. Another guested noted the same with her room upon checking in, and had to switch her room. Parts of the walls were falling apart, our sink didn’t drain, we had no shower gel and they left used soap bars in the shower. Staff did little to address this, and we were left to figure it out ourselves. To top it off, house keeping attempted to enter our room TWICE before 8:30am as we slept, even though check out was at 12pm. This was a poor experience overall.

Unfortunately our room was dirty when we checked in. The air conditioner was spilling water onto the floor and there was a puddle of muddy water on the side of one of the beds near the wall. Due to the water issue, it smelled stale and moldy. We ended up changing rooms and the staff was pleasant.

So overall the hotel was very nice. The offer of complimentary breakfast & evening snacks & drinks is a nice touch. However, this is a business/work hotel, not one I would say is for kids....hence it being a conference center. It was recommended to us by a friend and I didn't really do a lot of research. We went during the week because of spring break and although no one made us feel that way....I noticed how we were largely out of place. There were people there in suits and briefcases that were working. And the pool was not very big at all. I took 4 kids with me and awkwardly tryed to keep them quiet. As far as the room...The bathrooms are small and I wouldn't expect that in a hotel like this. The exhaust fan was not working, the bathroom door would not lock, and the faucet in the shower was very loose and very hard to judge the temperature of the water. However our room was very large, split into two rooms & that was nice beings I took 5 teenage boys who also brought a gaming device and they had their own area to play in. I would definitely stay here again, maybe just not with kids during spring break. It may be different in the summer months but definitely not in March. The staff was very nice & accommodating. The complaints I have are very small & trivial so overall 4 stars!!!

I will start with the good. The staff were very kind. The breakfast was awesome. Omelettes made to order, pancakes, coffee, orange juice, English muffin, bagels, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruits, cereal oatmeal, everything. There was a person who was constantly picking up the dirty dishes and with a smile and conversation. The room was perfect with a door that separated the living from the bedroom. Wonderful idea. Smart TV with numerous channels. Complimentary drinks during happy hour and a bar till 10:00 PM. Now for the negative, on the first night the shower in our room backed up. My husband went down to the front desk to advice them. Quite awhile passed and we were due at our families for dinner but we hadn't been able to shower. I called the front desk from the room and advised them that noone had shown. Within 10 minutes someone was there to clear the back up. The next day the toilet in the room was backed up. This time it didn't take too long for someone to clear the back up. The ice machine apparently leaked a lot of water and our room was next to it. The next day the carpet smelled and the smell was going into the room. At this point I didn't bother saying anything because I didn't want to have to change rooms. Out of 4 elevators only 1 was working. Thankfully by Thanksgiving they had 2 more up and running. The hotel had a cruise vibe with the rooms inside facing down to the atrium. I would stay there again, I would. All in all it was a good stay

Bathroom is dated and in bad need of renovation. Overall room was clean and comfortable but bathroom shower head leaked and dripped for 3 days straight making a pap=pap=pap noise all day and all night. This may not seem like a big deal but it is just this type of nuisance noise that is used in interrogation labs as the constant noise becomes so annoying it plagues your mind. My biggest complaint was despite having a HVAC control unit on wall you CANNOT control the temp. I am anemic and I cannot take cold environs. I tried and tried to adjust temp to no avail. It was explained to me that in the guest rooms we cannot turn the unit to heat only options are turn unit off or have constant A/C. I was offered an add'l blanket. Toilet sits way too low to the floor...I mean drop it like its hot low. There is breakfast included and an evening happy hour not much to brag on but hey its def much more than other hotels offer. Fridays is literally next door and Mission BBQ across W. Broad Street. Balconies are only for aestethics as you cannot actually step out on it.

I booked a King room well in advance, expecting a comfortable stay. However, upon arrival, I was told that the hotel had overbooked and my reserved room was no longer available. Instead of the room I paid for, I was given a double queen. The staff offered little in the way of an apology or compensation, acting as if this was just standard procedure. After a long day of travel, the last thing anyone wants is to deal with unexpected changes—especially when the downgrade wasn’t reflected in the price. To top it off, the room was below average and dirty. The ceiling was chipping and the bathroom was something dated in the late 80’s. If you’re considering this hotel, be aware that your reservation doesn’t seem to guarantee the room you actually book and I’d await renovations before paying the price. Extremely disappointing and will not be returning. The fact that Hilton signs off on this location makes me question my next stay with them.

Check in process was smooth! Hotel was extremely clean. Did have an issue with the AC not working, called the front desk and they sent maintenance up within 5 min. Guy was extremely cool he was friendly and explained what he was doing to fix it. Took him 10 min and it was fixed!!

Pros - Conveniently located for trips to Jefferson's Estate, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and other Virginia sites. Great breakfast buffet. Love the courtyard style hotel center. Cons - Our room was in need of some woodwork repair. Sunday we didn't get any room attendance and only got room coffee replenished once during the 5 day stay.

Enjoyed my stay, staff was extremely helpful… paying for parking was a downside but I was given a pass for being a Hilton Honors member. The balcony was small but nice to enjoy the weather. Breakfast was decent and the evening reception was great. Room was quiet and had many accommodations.

This property was patched up and the hotel is so old. The ac didn't work in the room. The maintenance came to fix add was unsuccessful.. There is an expectation of Hilton Hotels, especially Embassy Suites, this hotel does not meet the expectations. The staff was friendly but the hotel needs to be shut down, torn down, and rebuilt. The area had a few homeless folks panhandling.

Wonderful stay here. Clean comfortable room; fantastic front desk personnel; free happy hour with beer, wine & spirits. Free breakfast. Had a great strip steak dinner. Excellent food. Definitely stay here if traveling to or through the Richmond/Henrico area.

There is a generous breakfast buffet option with hot options like, eggs, french toast, bacon, sausage, fruit, breads and dairy items. There is an evening reception from 5:30-7:30 pm with snacks and drink options for a light happy hour. The suite was spacious and well appointed and the property felt modern and upscale. The fitness center was out dated with faulty equipment and the pool was broken, but other than that, it was a great stay! I will be returning to this property the next time I’m in the Richmond area.

Breakfasts were well organized, plentiful and great variety, well-serviced. Dining area was clean and well-monitored for keeping cleanliness standards high. Suite was well maintained and stocked. Front desk staff were polite, efficient, and friendly. I particularly commend Annette for her superb attention to assist us in finding destinations that we were able to find in and around Richmond, VA. Hats off to Annette!! Smooth check-in and room was available 45min earlier than expected. Free evening reception was ideal for adults and kids. Full hot breakfast was available with many delicious options. Amazing omelet station which was so efficient the line never backed up and only a 5min or less wait for extremely well-made and flavorful omelets. Dining staff (Rakeem, in particular) were very nice and accommodating. Dining area was spacious, bright and clean. Indoor pool space was warm with plenty of chairs and clean towels. Great experience for a 10yr old birthday sleepover. Be aware, if you are a Hilton Honors member booking through hotels.com you cannot use the Hilton app for contactless check-in. Only downside to family suite - room lighting was extremely dim after sundown so not ideal for indoor pictures.
