Crown Motel Wellington

Very disappointing I know that it’s not their fault that the traffic goes rumbling past your room every night but that was the first issue. The second one was when I got there to sign in. There was no one at the desk. I stood there for 10 minutes, I had to ring them to get them to come down and I also had to ring them to come down to ask him something on Saturday the next morning she come down in her pyjamas. The shower was cold during the day I asked her why and she said because everyone has a shower during the day in the morning I said well that’s not good enough. I’m paying to stay here and I should be able to have a shower any time I want. I had ants in my butter which is very unusual. LOL. The decor was very out of date. The TV remote instead of going up to turn the volume up you had to press the down and vice versa. When I went to pay, I had thought that I paid. I said I’d have to transfer the money over from one account to the other but she was so quick at doing it she did it before I asked her to and of course there was no money in it. I said you have to wait till I transfer it. Probably thinking I was gonna do the run runner ridiculous anyway I won’t be staying there again. I’ve learned a lesson.

Clean room and bathroom, good shower pressure, and convenient parking right outside the door. The room also had tea and coffee facilities, plus a fridge and microwave. We had a comfortable and restful night before heading back on the road.

Easy check-in. Room was clean, crockery and cutlery provided which was appreciated. Air conditioner was noisy and bed uncomfortable. It was however located in a handy spot, easy access and suited us for the one night stay.

Had "Wifi" but not connected to the internet. It's an old motel - looks old and smells old. It's fine for an overnight stay.

Check-in was fast and easy. The room is starting to show its age but had everything needed for a short or longer stay. Bed was comfortable . Its a short walk to the pubs and restaurants. The shower screen needs mold cleaned off.
