Beautiful property landscaped like a tropical paradise. Free amenities include wine and cheese, light breakfast, WiFi, beach towels, beach chairs. The be a is just steps away, a cozy fire pit is on the property. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this property to my friends

The hotel was walking distance from the boat, to all the restaurants and golf cart rentals, across from the beach, offered beach towels and chairs, had light breakfast and wine and cheese in the evening, it was clean and had air conditioning. It was beautiful and well kept.

The Pavilion is a beautiful boutique hotel. It is located in the heart of the crescent and an easy walk to all the shops, restaurants, and attractions. The grounds are excellent. Amenities like bag service to/from Catalina Express, happy hour, continental breakfast, and local meal credits all add to the excellence of this location.

The front desk was helpful, assisting with booking Catalina Island Company adventures. The wine and cheese plate offering each day was nice. We were able to leave our luggage for a short time after checkout until we caught the ferry. The location was ideal, right on the "boardwalk." The grounds were beautiful.

I love the location of this hotel right on the boardwalk facing the marina. The view is so lovely. I could sit there forever. The fire pit at night is charming and an opportunity to meet and visit with other guests at the hotel. Also the wine and cheese reception Delightful and very tasty !

The Pavilion Hotel is my favorite place to stay on Catalina Island. It is right on the main boardwalk, overlooking the water, with easy access to all shops and restaurants. The grounds are beautiful with lounge chairs around a beautiful garden, a fire pit and tables with chairs to sit and relax. They have a daily happy hour which includes a complimentary glass of wine with cheese and crackers. The staff are all very nice and helpful. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Avalon.

We had a pleasant, relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful; the room was clean and quiet. Our only suggestion would be to add a microwave. We would stay here again.

Excellent option for staying at Catalina. Walking distance everywhere. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Staff is excellent, very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast and small happy hour (glass of wine and cheesse) are provided every day. Rooms are smallish, but that’s in every hotel in Catalina. Very comfortable, though. We will stay here again!

We couldn’t reach the hotel front desk when we needed some first aid- ice when I was burned by hot coffee from in in room coffee maker. Also, the toilet was clogged & they didn’t have anyone available to fix it

For this property you are paying for location. You can walk to the ferry and you are on the main street. Everything is very easy to access. However, the property is less than satisfactory. It is similar to a motel. There is no pool or hot tub. We woke up to no hot water which it was fixed within 30 minutes and our room was not cleaned. We found a hunk of broccoli on the floor when we checked it out.

The outdoor seating area was very inviting. The grounds around the hotel were very well manicured and maintained. The room was very clean and the hotel offered small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion. I prefer those over mass dispensers on the walls. The hotel was close to everything and reasonably priced. My husband and I would stay there again if going to Catalina Island.

Convenient and walkable. The outside grounds were nice. Good evening reception. Clean room with spacious vanity. Our premium room lacked a dresser, difficult to store clothing in small cubbies in closet. Bedding could use some refurbishing. The pillows a little smelly, mattress could be more comfortable. I expected a larger room for upgrade. Not sure if I would return for the price but most of Catalina is not now that affordable.

We really enjoyed our stay at the pavilion. The hotel is located right in the heart of all the action & only 5 minutes from the Catalina express dock. They have a very fun happy hour every night for the guests serving complimentary wine & cheese. We didn’t wake up early enough for breakfast. The rooms are a good size , the AC worked great & the beds & pillows were so comfortable!!! It was quiet despite being in the heart of the city. We slept great.

The room and bed was so comfortable, we loved our patio even though it was a bit chilly to sit outside. We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and wine and cheese hour, we met several of our neighbors! The only complaint is that we could hear our upstairs neighbors walking around in their room, so if you are sensitive to noise, stay in an upstairs room.

The property grounds, happy hour and breakfast are fantastic. You can’t pick a more convenient location. However, the rooms are really run down, dark and appear to not have been updated for at least 40 years. Our toilet didn’t work great but the staff was quick to help. It seems like you are staying at 2 totally different hotels…the beautiful tropical outdoor space hotel then a bad motel when you step in your room. For the price, the hotel really needs to redo the rooms.

The property grounds, happy hour and breakfast are fantastic. You can’t pick a more convenient location. Lovely gardens throughout the property, nice wine and cheese welcome, convenient continental breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They helped with activity reservations and meal recommendations. Very kind and courteous.

The hotel is amazing with a beautiful reception area and foliage that makes you feel like you're walking through a jungle to get to your room. They will store your bags for you until check-in and we even got to check in early. I cant think of one thing I DIDN'T like about the hotel.

The staff was very unorganized. Housekeeping came 2 days early to ask if we were checking out. Front desk told us that the Bison tour was closed for the season. After leaving early, the front desk called us if we were going to check out.

The location is hands down the best! Also the staff were super friendly. The breakfast was okay (bagels and fruits). The hotel is right in the middle of all the happening area and in front of the beach. However, the furniture and linens are not compatible to the price that I paid. Theirs is another hotel just a couple of blocks away that’s cheaper with remodel rooms. Although the location is in front of the beach, I would probably go somewhere else for the price.

The location is hands down the best! Also the staff were super friendly. The breakfast was okay (bagels and fruits). The hotel is right in the middle of all the happening area and in front of the beach. However, the furniture and linens are not compatible to the price that I paid. Theirs is another hotel just a couple of blocks away that’s cheaper with remodel rooms. Although the location is in front of the beach, I would probably go somewhere else for the price.

The Pavilion Hotel is my favorite place to stay on Catalina Island. It is right on the main boardwalk, overlooking the water, with easy access to all shops and restaurants. The grounds are beautiful with lounge chairs around a beautiful garden, a fire pit and tables with chairs to sit and relax. They have a daily happy hour which includes a complimentary glass of wine with cheese and crackers. The staff are all very nice and helpful. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Avalon.

Great location and friendly staff. Lovely room and gardens. Loved the breakfast with bagels and croissants and also wine and cheese in the evening. We have stayed here many times and will return again! Highly recommend The Pavilion!

Lovely location and staff BUT very expensive at $500+ a night to have a room with broken TV, no maid service unless u ask, worst continental breakfast that ends at 9 sharp, even on weekends.

Breakfast and wine & cheese such a nice touch. Also we were give a 20$ voucher for a selected restaurants which was a surprise and added bonus . Will definitely be staying with Pavilion again!

The property grounds, happy hour and breakfast are fantastic. You can’t pick a more convenient location. However, the rooms are really run down, dark and appear to not have been updated for at least 40 years. Our toilet didn’t work great but the staff was quick to help. It seems like you are staying at 2 totally different hotels…the beautiful tropical outdoor space hotel then a bad motel when you step in your room. For the price, the hotel really needs to redo the rooms.

Overall, we loved our stay at the Pavilion Hotel. All staff members were really friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that the mattresses on both beds were too small. The bed frames were queen size as advertised, but the mattresses were about 6" narrower each, which would be full-size, not queen-size, and a bit uncomfortable for two adults to sleep on each bed.

We had a fabulous time. Just don't leave anything behind. We left our car keys in the room. We called, and the first time they didn't find them. We called again, and the manager went up and found them. Now....we had to fill out a form that was for their sister hotel. WE got an email saying they received the form and would let us know when the item was found. We know the item has been found, and still no word on when we can expect our keys. It has been 5 days.
