Lovely stay in Venice. Although advertised as WiFi available there wasn’t. Was given details to link to hotel next door but didn’t work. Room was top floor with small balcony looking over rooftops, it was lovely but a very hot radiator in bathroom which we couldn’t adjust made room very warm. Breakfast was continental butwas plentiful with good choices. Reception staff very helpful. Short walk to Rialto Bridge and St Marc’s.

We stayed at Hotel Scandinavia 10 years ago. It is even more charming today! They have also installed a lift which makes it a little easier for a couple that is 10 years older and still haven’t learned how to pack light for Italy. The service was top notch, location is perfect and the room very adequate. Hope we can stay here again some day.

The hotel is very dated and not well maintained. The beds were so uncomfortable, the pillows flat and hard. The beds moved around and squeezed everytime you rolled over. The “king” bed was two twins pushed together and would move every time causing you to slip through the crack! The shower was broken and at a height for a child. The staff were very friendly and the location was great, but the sub-par accommodations and not sleeping for two nights made it unbearable so that we were ready to leave. The caution tape and the steel bars at the foot of the stairs holding up the ceiling not give me a sense of safety, even with our understanding it was an old/historic location. We Do Not recommend.

I highly recommend the Hotel . We stayed there for four days before we went on a cruise,The hotel is in the middle of everything going on,Right out the door is a fabulous restaurant with all kinds of shops.As far as the hotel it was great the staff couldn’t do enough for you has plenty of places for you to visit.the breakfast was unbelievable all kinds of food and plenty of room.My room was very clean and if You needed something they took care of you.

A good central location with a very outdated and not so clean room. Service was nice but I was disappointed and uncomfortable, especially given the price. The plaza is lovely and close to everything, this also means it's very crowded and touristic at times. A bit far from the vaporetto.

I struggled to sleep in our room in this hotel - the shutters on the windows didn't fit quite the window shape, and there were no curtains to draw to block out the light, so I woke up at 5am each day with light shining directly on my face. We could also hear a lot of noise from the corridor as people started to get up around 6.30/7am onwards. However, all the staff were really friendly, the location was super central, and we loved the décor of the room and the wonderful shower too.

I loved my stay at the Scandinavia Hotel. Elena, the day manager couldn’t have been any nicer and informative. Plus she has a very welcoming smile and fantastic attitude. This hotel is close to everything, and just far away from the busy St Mark’s Square. My only concern was the mattress. It was very worn and needed to be replaced.

Room was OK, but not as nice as in picture. And area around hotel was great. However, bed was lumpy, it felt like there was a plastic cover on Matress below the sheet. Did not feel comforable. Shower insisted on flooding bathroom.

I loved my stay at the Scandinavia Hotel. Elena, the day manager couldn’t have been any nicer and informative. Plus she has a very welcoming smile and fantastic attitude. What a gem of a hotel in Venice! ..and most of it thanks to the staff working there. Everybody was just exceptionally polite, friendly and helpful in a lovely, genuine way. The room was clean and quiet, big enough with a large Italian style bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was perfect, enough options to rotate your breakfast style for a few mornings.. I loved the location on Santa Maria Formosa Square, an open space with a great bar just next to the hotel, still situated very central in the Venice map. All in all we had a great time at Hotel Scandinavia and we do recommend it to anyone coming to explore the city. 5 stars.

Spend one night and I must say the staff was exceptional attentive to our needs. The gentleman at the front desk helped to carry our luggage to the water taxi. we encountered some problem there and without his help, we would have had problem finding the next water taxi port. Im so sorry I didn't write his name down. But thank you very much . I

Abbiamo soggiornato per 2 notti in hotel e devo dire che il personale è stato molto cordiale e soprattutto disponibile a tutte le nostre richieste . La stanza molto carina , magari un po’ poco spaziosa ma in generale ci siamo trovati bene ! Colazione top con vasta scelta tra dolce e salato . L’unica pecca , in camera , a volte la doccia andava a intermittenza ma per tutto il resto è una struttura che consiglierei .
