Comfort Inn Frederick - Ballenger Creek

First floor room had a heavy mold smell.

Clean and quiet room had issues with the a/c. Told staff they seemed helpful. I had a voicemail that they were trying to accommodate us but I lost service and never seen that I had a missed call. So they tried to resolve the issue. If not for the a/c issues would have been 5 star stay.

This may be my last stay at this property, My wife and I have used this hotel every month for the past year and I am sorry to say that it may be our last. When we checked in our room the first problem we had was the toilet would not flush properly. When I reported the problem to the manager on duty. He handed me a plunger and told me to use it on the the bathroom toilet myself. He was very nonchalant about the situation and didn’t even investigate the issue himself. He did not offer us a different room or call a maintenance man. Or even apologize for the inconvenience. The next issue was the television lost the connection with the cable provider and when I reported it to the front desk he simply added my room number to a list of other rooms with the same issue. After a little while he came to our room and knocked on our door to inform me that he had called someone and at the cable company and was told that it was a problem with “half of the city.” After about half an hour the programming came back on, but again he didn’t apologized or offer any explanation or anything about no worries about the situation.

We haven’t really ever traveled with a pet before so we were nervous about how that would affect our stay. Everyone was very accommodating and gave us a room on the first level and near an exit door. It was very pleasant and now we have a good spot to go to in the future!

Room was comfortable, amenities were accessible.
