On a bicycle tour in Northern Michigan. Stayed at Colonial Innon the second night. Excellent service. The pool and hot tub were exceptionally clean. Rooms were small but nice. Bed was comfortable. I emjoyed my stay.

This quaint inn was just what we needed for our one night stay in Harbor Springs. Loved the room and the breakfast in the am. Loved the veranda to sit on right. Short walk to the dock at the end of the street, and warm cookies when we arrived!! 😍. Our hostess when we checked in was super friendly. A+ accommodations.

Truly the best place to stay in Harbor Springs. A real sense of place, in a residential setting. Location good for walking. Hotel has a sitting pier to perch on. Pleasant breakfast room and hospiable service. We look forward to returning.

Absolutely the best experience staying here. Staff was wonderful, hotel was clean, safe and very walkable to all of Harbor Springs downtown. It’s in a beautiful historic neighborhood and has a dock on the bay. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate. Rooms were large and very clean. You will feel all the charm of the historic property with all the modern amenities you could need.

Absolutely lovely stay at the Colonial Inn. We loved the grounds and the proximity to the lake front. Great amenities such as an indoor hot tub and outdoor pool. The room was spacious and we loved the large deck. The complimentary breakfast was next level. Pro tip…grab a coffee and enjoy the front porch of the main building before breakfast or enjoy your breakfast on the back patio of the main building. Even on a rainy morning it was divine!

This hotel was awesome!! I highly recommend staying here for a short walk or drive to town. The pool and hot tub were awesome and the daily breakfast was delicious and filling. It's a short walk to the private pier on the harbor. I would not think of staying anywhere else in Harbor Springs!!

Beautiful grounds and area. Located about minute walk to waterfront with private dock with seats, beautiful to relax. Very good, hot continental breakfast. Very frendly, attentive staff.

All was good except for sandy floors and noise from people walking back and forth in room above. They probably heard our television which wasn't loud. Probably why the room was equipped with ear plugs because the location was super quiet. Beds wrre bery comfy and breakfast was diverse and delicious.

I was surprised that the room was so musty. The tank for the dehumidifier was full and the humidity was at 65% when we checked in. Emptying the tank helped quite a bit. However, it seems like housekeeping should be checking on that to keep the room from smelling so bad. The tub was an older Jacuzzi and extremely difficult for my mom to get into to shower. Few outlets -- charged phone and watch on the floor. Why not get some lamps with USB charging capacity for the nightstands? The beds were a bit worn, too -- my mom's had a spring poking up in one spot but was able to find a comfortable side... would have been unfortunate if 2 people had to sleep in that bed. Positives -- main lodge is a gorgeous old building, service was friendly, and breakfast was high quality.

A lovely inn Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful, friendly, immaculate, clean, cozy. Perfect place for romantic get away, or fun time with friends. Lots of spaces for games and conversation. Bordering Lake Huron and a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Staff is friendly and aim to please.

Property was in a good location . Walkable to the lake.Nice staff .Breakfast was good. Parking was a bit difficult, though there was space the spots are in an awkward position. Room was neat overall but there were many insects in the room especially behind the curtains.

Musty smelling room #27 with a dehumidifier in bedroom. Small TV with grainy picture. Broken up concrete under the threshold entry. Curtains didn't completely block windows facing the courtyard and 2nd story units. Public areas are nice though.

The room was nice but the lack of a curtain on the french doors allowed to much light at night. The adjoining rooms are cause fir a lot of extra noise. The grounds were immaculate and the staff were very friendly.

Nice breakfast provided. It is an older facility - kept up beautifully but the air conditioners are difficult to operate for seniors because they are low near the floor. Love the fresh cookies every day. Staff very welcoming. Nicely decorated.

We love this hotel. Charming, elegant, historic, and very comfortable. The location is excellent for walking around and viewing all the amazing homes along the water. About a mile walk into town, but a gorgeous and it goes fast. Breakfast is very good and in a beautiful dining room.

Very quaint inn in a secluded spot of Harbor Springs. Nice location for a morning walk in Wequitonsing with beautiful Victorian homes on one side and the bay on the other. We will visit again when in the area.

Absolutely delightful!! A truly beautiful property only 1 mile from Downtown. There is nothing I would change. Charming host, peaceful location, pretty, comfortable rooms, easy parking. And a full complimentary breakfast. What more could you ask for!!

We love this hotel. Charming, elegant, historic, and very comfortable. The location is excellent for walking around and viewing all the amazing homes along the water. About a mile walk into town, but a gorgeous and it goes fast. Breakfast is very good and in a beautiful dining room.

I have been staying at this location for the past 10 years. The overall condition of the grounds and units is getting better. There needs to be more of an effort on outside up keep and renovations. Breakfasts have gotten less impressive. Rates have gone up steadily, probably $100 more than a few years ago. There is no other location I would stay in Harbor Springs.
