We had a great weekend at the cabin this winter. It’s a great place for hiking and sledding, and we spent a great deal of time outside, even had a fire in the fire pit so the kids could roast hotdogs for lunch after building snow forts in the valley across the stream. The cabin had everything we needed and was just as beautiful as the pictures. Very clean and plenty of space. Dan was communicative and answered all my questions before we got there. We will definitely be back!

This cabin experience was spectacular. The cabin itself is beautiful & the property is breathtaking. My wife & I had such a great time with our adult sons & daughter in law. We had fires in the fire pit, bbq’d several times, read books. Went shopping & dined in nearby cities. It was wonderful.

Enjoy a private relaxing stay with family including our dog. Loved the deck/porch for relaxing and watching the night sky. Would be fun to come back in the winter and enjoy your own private sledding hill just steps from the front door! Beautiful firplace would be nice to warm up by. Enjoyed that there was plenty of space for everyone and the greatroom was wonderful for everyone to enjoy a movie or a game.

This is a great rental if you want to feel tucked away, but still have the convenience of amenities nearby if you need anything. Was nice to explore the property at our leisure, kitchen had all the basics, and the living room had plenty of space for everyone to relax and watch movies/tv. Beds are comfortable; maybe bring your own pillow if you like a firmer pillow. Really appreciated being able to bring our dog; he loved exploring the property too!

My brother & I enjoyed our stay last year so much we decided on a return visit for our get together this year. We really enjoy the quiet, country setting, taking in the property views while relaxing on the deck and spending time at the fire pit in the evenings. This is a well appointed home with all the ammenities and features we like. It's close to town and there are a variety of walking trails close by to explore. A great place to stay for a getaway to the Driftless Area.

Dan was a great host and answered any and all questions. Beautiful log home, with everything you need for a great stay. Everyone enjoyed hiking around the property, having a nice outdoor fire by the creek. Kids loved the movie theater (great room) and to see all the chickens. We will definitely be booking again. A fabulous getaway for our family. Beautiful log home and property, lots of space for 5 adults, had everything we needed. It was a cold weekend but the house was cozy and warm. We enjoyed a fire in the outdoor fire pit and explored some of the property. Great communication by the host, pleasant and friendly.

I love the property. It was our second time staying there and it was just as gorgeous as the first. I love the wide open yard for my kids to play in. I love how huge the cabin is, the wrap around porch is amazing, the giant living room is awesome. I just love this property. Oh and the complimentary fresh eggs were delicious. I would recommend this property to any family looking for a get away.

What a wonderful property. We enjoyed the wrap around porch when it was sunny, along with the portion that was under the roof for a raining morning. The great room (TV) was equipped with a Roku device which allowed us to AirPlay to stream anything from our iPhones. We felt the kitchen had everything we needed, there wasn't anything we couldn't find. A great plus was working ice and water from the fridge. The grill is charcoal so be prepared to pick up some in town unless a bag is left over from the previous stay. When using the fire pit area you can likely find enough sticks around the property for starting. There is a small stream near the firepit that runs along the property which provided a nice water ambiance. I'd also recommend bringing pants if you want to walk some of the property as the grass is a taller then the area that is mow'd. Highly recommend going to the Richland Locker in town for any meat, snacks, sides, and New Glarus 6 packs. Fresh eggs were provided by the owner which were incredible. The house was comfortable tempature wise as we visited when it was around 85 during the day, felt cool coming in and nice inside.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Property is well kept and clean! Kitchen was stocked well enough for our use and plenty of comfy seating! It was a bit too hot to spend much time outdoors during our stay but we did see some deer passing through the field one morning. No complaints! Couple recommendations for future travelers, bring extra bath towels & wash clothes as well as extra paper towel & toilet paper, For anything else you may need, there is a Walmart just 10 minutes down the road and several excellent restaurants nearby.

The cabin itself was so beautiful, it was definitely a well needed trip to get away from the city! And there’s so much land for the kids to run around in! Everyone had their own bed!!! And it’s like an hr away from Wisconsin Dells which was amazing as well! Overall one of the best cabins I have gone to! Super clean! Little to no bugs at all! And there’s something there for everyone to do! We definitely be coming back!

I rented this place for me and my girlfriend to spend a couple of days. It’s beautiful and very well maintained. It’s tucked back in the woods in a valley and 5 mins from town. I would highly recommend.

My group had a fantastic stay at the Driftless Escape. The cabin itself is spacious, clean, and updated with modern amenities while feeling rustic and cozy. Dan was a helpful host and a thorough communicator which made check in and check out a breeze. Bonus points because he’s a music lover. We truly can’t say enough good things about this space- hope to be back again someday soon!

Stayed a long weekend with my brother as we like to connect once/year at a spot somewhere between us in SW WI (I am in the Twin Cities, he is in Chicago). This is a fabulous house & property in the Driftless area which affords great privacy, all the conviences we have come to expect, and in a perfect location/setting. The house is situated well back from any neighbors with great views of the property. Inside the house is spacious, well maintained, comfortable, quiet and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed plus more. Plenty of hiking trails nearby and Richland Center had everything we needed be it shopping, restaurants, etc. If you are looking for a spot to get away to this is the place to pick. Before we left I asked my brother how many stars he would give it and without hesitation he said 5 stars & I fully agree. Thanks for letting us stay and we look forward to returning sometime in the future.

This house and property are beautiful! Plenty of space for playing indoor and outdoor games. The seclusion makes it an ideal escape but anything you might need is minutes away. This family of 5, plus 2 dogs, will be back!

What a great place! All the amenities we could have asked for. The cabin was warm and cozy for our Thanksgiving get away. We were disappointed that we came when it was so cold, as we would have loved to sit on that fabulous wrap a round porch! It was so serene even though it was so close to town. Dan is a great communicator, and that is always so helpful. We loved having the great room. It would be an awesome place to bring kids. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Loved having a full bath and master on each floor. The Bonus was being able to bring the dog! Thanks Dan, for everything!

Great place to stay. Secluded, quiet and very relaxing. Saw deer, rabbits and squirrels during the day and heard the owls at night. Very impressed with host communications. Highly recommend and we will return again.

It’s a great place for hiking and sledding, and we spent a great deal of time outside, even had a fire in the fire pit so the kids could roast hotdogs for lunch after building snow forts in the valley across the stream. The cabin had everything we needed and was just as beautiful as the pictures. Very clean and plenty of space. Dan was communicative and answered all my questions before we got there. We will definitely be back!

Dan was a great host and answered any and all questions. Beautiful log home, with everything you need for a great stay. Everyone enjoyed hiking around the property, having a nice outdoor fire by the creek. Kids loved the movie theater (great room) and to see all the chickens. We will definitely be booking again. Second time we have stayed here, great isolated property in the driftless region. There was a big snow storm ahead of our stay and the owner had the drive plowed before our arrival which is appreciated.

My group had a fantastic stay at the Driftless Escape. The cabin itself is spacious, clean, and updated with modern amenities while feeling rustic and cozy. Dan was a helpful host and a thorough communicator which made check in and check out a breeze. Bonus points because he’s a music lover. The cabin itself was so beautiful, it was definitely a well needed trip to get away from the city! And there’s so much land for the kids to run around in! Everyone had their own bed!!! And it’s like an hr away from Wisconsin Dells which was amazing as well! Overall one of the best cabins I have gone to! Super clean! Little to no bugs at all! And there’s something there for everyone to do! We definitely be coming back!

Was nice to explore the property at our leisure, kitchen had all the basics, and the living room had plenty of space for everyone to relax and watch movies/tv. Beds are comfortable; maybe bring your own pillow if you like a firmer pillow. Really appreciated being able to bring our dog; he loved exploring the property too!

My brother & I enjoyed our stay last year so much we decided on a return visit for our get together this year. We really enjoy the quiet, country setting, taking in the property views while relaxing on the deck and spending time at the fire pit in the evenings. This is a well appointed home with all the ammenities and features we like. It's close to town and there are a variety of walking trails close by to explore. A great place to stay for a getaway to the Driftless Area.

The property looks gorgeous from outside and inside, I and my family absolutely loved it! The cabin is located in a beautiful valley by a creek. Stayed a long weekend with my brother as we like to connect once/year at a spot somewhere between us in SW WI (I am in the Twin Cities, he is in Chicago). This is a fabulous house & property in the Driftless area which affords great privacy, all the conviences we have come to expect, and in a perfect location/setting. The house is situated well back from any neighbors with great views of the property. Inside the house is spacious, well maintained, comfortable, quiet and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed plus more. Plenty of hiking trails nearby and Richland Center had everything we needed be it shopping, restaurants, etc. If you are looking for a spot to get away to this is the place to pick. Before we left I asked my brother how many stars he would give it and without hesitation he said 5 stars & I fully agree. Thanks for letting us stay and we look forward to returning sometime in the future.

Overall the atmosphere was very tranquil, and the house provided the perfect resting spot. The kitchen utensils were adequate as we cooked at least 85% of our meals at the home. The beds were very comfortable.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Property is well kept and clean! Kitchen was stocked well enough for our use and plenty of comfy seating! It was a bit too hot to spend much time outdoors during our stay but we did see some deer passing through the field one morning. No complaints! Couple recommendations for future travelers, bring extra bath towels & wash clothes as well as extra paper towel & toilet paper, For anything else you may need, there is a Walmart just 10 minutes down the road and several excellent restaurants nearby.

This cabin experience was spectacular. The cabin itself is beautiful & the property is breathtaking. My wife & I had such a great time with our adult sons & daughter in law. We had fires in the fire pit, bbq’d several times, read books. Went shopping & dined in nearby cities. It was wonderful.

This cabin is a wonderful place and has everything you need. It’s clean and very well stocked with cooking supplies, board games and electronics if wanted. There are tons of places to relax or even go for a hike, a great place that is close enough to town but far away enough to feel secluded. The farm eggs were tasty and the chickens enjoyable to watch.We had a fire one evening and got to hear an owl letting us know of his existence. I have no complaints, the communication was great with the owner and we will be back!

What a great place! All the amenities we could have asked for. The cabin was warm and cozy for our Thanksgiving get away. We were disappointed that we came when it was so cold, as we would have loved to sit on that fabulous wrap a round porch! It was so serene even though it was so close to town. Dan is a great communicator, and that is always so helpful. We loved having the great room. It would be an awesome place to bring kids. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Loved having a full bath and master on each floor. The Bonus was being able to bring the dog! Thanks Dan, for everything!

What a wonderful property. We enjoyed the wrap around porch when it was sunny, along with the portion that was under the roof for a raining morning. The great room (TV) was equipped with a Roku device which allowed us to AirPlay to stream anything from our iPhones. We felt the kitchen had everything we needed, there wasn't anything we couldn't find. A great plus was working ice and water from the fridge. The grill is charcoal so be prepared to pick up some in town unless a bag is left over from the previous stay. When using the fire pit area you can likely find enough sticks around the property for starting. There is a small stream near the firepit that runs along the property which provided a nice water ambiance. I'd also recommend bringing pants if you want to walk some of the property as the grass is a taller then the area that is mow'd. Highly recommend going to the Richland Locker in town for any meat, snacks, sides, and New Glarus 6 packs. Fresh eggs were provided by the owner which were incredible. The house was comfortable tempature wise as we visited when it was around 85 during the day, felt cool coming in and nice inside.
